Internet Scam Results in Double Homicide?

Mass. Murder Probes eBay Scam, 'Net Porn'

"Massachusetts detectives have traveled to England to question Rachel Entwistle's husband, Neil Entwistle. He is being described by police as a "person of interest" in the case, though he is not a suspect at this time, The Boston Globe reported on Friday.

The computer connection comes via Neil Entwistle's alleged activities, which are being investigated by police. According to The Times of London, Entwistle may have been involved with a now-shuttered website, millionmaker.co.uk, which promised to help users get into the Internet porn business if they paid an $89 initial fee and about $25 per month thereafter.

The Times said that information on the site also pointed toward an eBay seller who used the ID "SRPublications." On eBay, that seller has an unusually large number of negative feedback postings. One reads: "Seems to be a scam -- nothing received." Another feedback said: "Rachel Entwistle is a thieving Liar do not buy here!"
The Entwistles' eBay account had been frozen by the online auction company about a week before the murders because of trading irregularities, according to the Boston Herald.

(The eBay scheme is not connected to a similarly named, legitimate .com web site in the United States.)

On Friday morning, Neil Entwistle was headed to the U.S. Embassy in London to talk with Massachusetts detectives, according to a British report."

No connection made yet to the murders. I still thought this would be of interest to many here. It does not surprise me that Niel Entwistle's involvement in a scam may have resulted in the death of his wife and child. What surprises me is that this does not happen more often. There are a lot of crazy people out there that will kill you for stealing $89.00.

I wa sa little lost until I went to the site and grabbed the first part of the story which was left out:

Allegations of an eBay scam and involvement in a get-rich-quick Internet porn scheme are swirling around a Massachusetts murder case.

The case involves the murder of Rachel Entwistle, 27, and her nine-month-old daughter Lillian. The two were found shot to death Sunday in their home in Hopkinton, Mass.

I use news items often here in the forum. I found it is good practice to post only the part of the story that is pertinent to an issue. In this case I should have included the intro.
    I stand corrected.
I always post a link when I do this though.

I see something like this happening in the 12DP/SP debacle, if things dont clear up soon.

I think it is pretty amazing as well that these scammers on the internet think they are 'invisible'. It reminds me of an old joke. Everyone has heard it in some form.
Some wack-job manages to convince himself that all he has to do is wear a special amulet around his neck and chant a secret mantra and he will become invisible to law enforcement and his enemies.
I think many internet scammers are living with the same delusion. Sooner or later they will learn that they are not immune to the evil forces of some people's vengeful nature that will devour them in time.

One of Enwistle's enterprises showed up here before.

If you're following the story, then have a look at Huff's Crime Blog which is an interesting take.
