Where is that planet you freaks come from?
You are insulting to the penal system.
WTF is it that makes you whackjobs get up in the morning without blaming society for all of your petty problems?

    Felons____internet? hehehaha hohoho ececechhhhh!!

ugggg woooo hooo hooooo hoooooooooo! eccchchchch! ha! good one libbys! I'll be laughin' for a couple days off of that one.

God you are so infantile. I'm so suprised that you lumped every criminal in the penal system to be felons and then immediately dismissed them as a waste. Take a look at the numbers of people in prison. I guess you would just throw them all away because they're worthless huh?

Well they're going to get out of prison one day. What of them then? Who cares they're just criminals right?

    Unbelievable.

I for one dont really cae about them....it is disgusting that a county so small (populationwise) such as ours has such a high incareration rate, murder rate, any other violent crime rate.

Not exactly sure but from what i remember from Crim classes in University, our current penal system focuses on Rehabilitaion as the primary focus of incarceration, not punative or preventative. Havingsaid that, Internet access would probably make sense if it is highly regulated, however i dont agree with it.

Someone in MD just went to his old workplace where he was fired and shot two of his bosses then himself. He died, but they tried to save him in the same hospitol as the two shootin victims, and if he lived im sure he would have gotten really great treatment in prison, provided he didnt mind the shower time.

that person had a family, and the victims had families, but he didnt care, he just wanted to murder them and therebyruin their families lives, as well as abandoning his own family...class A guy, he should DEF get internet.....NOT

My point is that there are many 'criminals' in our system that don't go shoot people up and destroy other's lives. They just have bad judgement and hurt someone or something else, financially or what not.

Why is it that our relatively small population has so much crime do you think? I say a lot of it is society and what is being pumped out in movies, tv shows, music, and video games. You do what you see. At least in my experience. I'm not saying that these violent people shouldn't be held responsible, but you have to wonder what gave them the idea to be violent in the first place. I don't know what the solution is. Our penal system obviously doesn't work very well, but you can't just throw people away and lose the key.

    I agree.

It depends on what level they're at. I think if they are in "maximum" security....then no.
If they are in "minimal" security....then yes.
If they are going to be returning back into society, then we should allow them access to all of the tools/education available.

gosh!!that sounds fair and balanced.sorta biblical i guess!?and it just makes good sense!?relative to reality!?but then it becomes the example to follow, and then the escalation to improve by practicing even more stringent restrictions.the easy way to better numbers!a declining save rate but in lue of increasing population a better "reintegration number" number.did you make the cut!?all that counts ya know!!at least in this life!!you can always "tell" the ones that made it!!especially if you didn't!!or wait.....maybe i got that backwards!?

There are lots of people abiding the law without Internet access. Prisoners are inside to be punished, not to enjoy themselves. Tax money can be better spent than letting prisoners contact their criminal buddies outside and indulge in some porn and online games etc...

Hell no. They have it too cushy now. It would just broaden their ability to
connect and likely not with anyone who would bring anything to their
rehab!! No web for the convicts.

no, society doesnt need to addressthat, the criminal does.

    .
the punishment was brought on by yourself or the criminal, not by society or even the criminals family. dont shove off the blame...
what about the families of the criminals victims as well?
