    China Job Scams
    2017
You all know how much Jimmy loves statistics right? Well, he's been tracking complaints from 23 different scam report sites and posts from ESLCafe (before they get deleted) and he has concluded that 88% of all teach abroad scams from China and that 88% represents an average of 1,300 expat teachers victims every month. If we include all the expats including tourists, that number jumps to over 1,800 victims every month.

He also tracked the complaints online and found that 19 companies in China and one in the UK accounts for more than 90% of all the TEFL & ESL Teacher scams, but when you realize that these companies all belong to just 6 people, it makes you wonder why a posse isn't formed just to hunt these super slick scammers down and delivered to Interpol! Anyway, here are the top 20 super job scams of China as of August 1, 2017:

    1. ForeignExpats.com

    2. BeijingTeach.com

    3. Laowai Career Center

    4. Haida HR

    5. Foreign HR

    18. Golden Bridge Education aka Golden Bridge Visa

    19. China-Uni Ltd aka China ESL

    20. theteflacademy.com, gooverseas.com, internationalteflacademy.com
    (3 way tie)

Companies in purple are owned by Ms. Liu aka Rebecca Tang aka Rosie Tang, aka Rose Tang, aka Ruby Tang
Companies in red are all owned by Yuri Khlystov
Companies in green are owned by Helen Chen of Hangzhou aka Hangzhou Helen
Companies in blue are owned by Canadian George Xu
Companies in Teal are owned by Peter Zheng and his wife.
Company in hot pink is owned by American Dave Sperling
Companies in Orange are owned by Max Kurasinski

Note: Erica Lau aka Erica Liu just missed the cut-off by only one complaint
Sorry Erica - Try harder - maybe next year?

Of course, there are also many scam visa companies as well including Panda Visa and others - too numerous to mention.
Top 20 means - the worst of the worst. Avoid these companies like Ebola people.

Nice job. But can you post "all 389 of known China job scams" for us please. Also, I am sharing this below from the China Teachers Alliance. Actually, I am going to print up about 1,000 of these with a sticky backing and post them around every school I see in Shanghai. Maybe some of you want to do the same on A4 poster paper.

This needs to get widespread distribution on every ESL and TEFL message board imo.

Rosie Tang who used to call herself Rebecca Tang keeps creating new alias names every month to get her scams out of the spotlight. Now she is using ForeignerHR and ForeignerHr.com and also Foreign HR. There are updates on her and other scammers every week at http://reddit.com/r/teflscams

For the record... Haida recently announced they no longer are affiliated with Hangzhou Helen Chen.
