[email protected] is SCAM
Hello.
I tried to find a "cheaper" accommodation for my holiday in Paris, but I found an offer that was almost get all my holiday money.
I got in touch with a "host" or "property manager" and I was asked to contact on an ordinary Gmail account address as follows:
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
The text used for scamming is the following: "✔ PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE TO BOOK BECAUSE I HAVE MY PLACE LISTED ON MANY WEBSITES AND I CANNOT
GUARANTEE THAT THE CALENDAR IS UPDATED. "
Later on, I was asked to provide my personal information to receive the invoice. Nothing unusual, but the only thing I found strange was the fact that the invoice did not seem to be sent by Wimdu.
In the invoice I was asked to wire some money to a suspicious bank account.
Beware and don't be fooled!
