Would you say this is a scam?

    http://www.susartworld.com

Pretty nice artwork...comes with this letter:

    Hello!!

My name is__ , I am an artist with my Wife__, and we are
the owner of Sus Art World .I live in London United Kingdom, with my two
kids, four cats, one dog and the love of my life my Wife ___. It is
definitely a full house. I have been doing artwork since I was a small
    child.

That gives me about 23 years of experience. I majored in art in high school
and took a few college art courses. Most of my work is done in either pencil
or airbrush mixed with color pencils.

I have recently added designing and creating artwork on the computer. I have
been selling my art for the last 3 years and have had my work featured on
trading cards, prints and in magazines. I have sold in galleries and to
private collectors from all around the world. I am always facing serious
difficulties when it comes to selling my art works to Americans, they are
always offering to pay with MONEY ORDER OR CASHIERS CHEQUE, which is
difficult for me to cash here in London United Kingdom.

I am looking for a representative in the states who will be working for me
as a par time worker and I will be willing to pay 10% for every transaction,
which wouldn’t affect your present state of work, someone who would help me
receive payments from my customers in the states mean someone that is
responsible and reliable, cause the cost of coming to the state and getting
payments is very expensive, I am working on setting up a branch in the
state, so for now I need a representative in the united state who will be
    handling the payment aspect.

These payments are in money order and they would come to you in your name,
so all you need do is cash the money order deduct your percentage and wire
    the rest back.

But the problem I have is trust, But I have my way of getting anyone that
gets away with our money, I mean the FBI branch in Washington will gets
involve when our Money get missing.

It wouldn’t cost u any amount are to receive payments which will be sent to
you by FedEx or ups from my business partners, which would come in form of a
money order then u are to cash it and send the cash to me via Money Gram
transfer all Money Gram charges will be deducted from the money.

If you are interested, please get back to me as soon as possible via email.

Scam all the way, I get a dozen offer every day. In fact, if I have time I always let them send me check so they waste their time and postage. (g)

I was contacted by the same person, I e-mailed him back with lots of questions, he never answered it. All he keeps on talking about is that he needs someone soon and he wanted my home address, tellephone number and my full name. I tried asking him the same questions, again! He never answer it, e-mailed me back with the same e-mail with a contract attached. Be weary when people wanted to rush you, and they never answer any of your questions.

Rowland Jester contacted people at my space. The picture that he had on his profile was not his, I found the same pic used by a female name Jolee. If you want proof you can check out Jolee's page at my space.

Re: Art Scam? What do you think?

    Hi,
I received the same thing from susartworld, aka...Suzan bryant.
I even replied and asked if this was a scam, and if she could answer some questions for me. I never got a reply for 3 months! That was in Sept.
Just 2 days ago, Dec. 10, I recieved this e-mail.......

This is Suzan Bryant. How are you and your family? I hope the sky is your limit.

This mail is to inform you that you will be recieving some travellers check of Bank Of America from one of my customer in USA anytime from now, the checks are meant to be payment from the Art Work I supplied to my customers in USA few weeks back. As my very good partner with great goal to make things work out between the both of us, you will help me cash this payments as soon as you recieving the checks for I need the money to but some new materials to help produce more works for my customers as the year is almost coming to an end. Don't forget you are entitled to 10 % of every check you cash for me.

You are advised to follow up this instructions when cashing the checks. Sign only at the upper part of the travellers cheque and put the date also where you have the space for date before going to the bank. When you now get to your bank the cashier will instruct you to sign (Countersign) at the lower part of the check. Once again you are Only advised to sign at the upper part of the check where you have the space for signature, also put the date where you have the space for date, When you get to your bank, your bank Cashier will instruct you to countersign at the lower part of the check where you also have a space for signature before you can be paid. Remember this instructions are very important.

One more thing, Take the checks to any Local bank around you so that it can be cashed instantly, DO NOT TAKE THE CHECKS TO BANK OF AMERICA for it will take about 20 days for the usaul payment process, As you know I need this money to buy more art works for my end of the year production.

Thank you very much for your kind attention I look forward to hear from you as soon as you recieve the checks.

I hope this is well understood. I will be glad to hear from you soon.

    Sincerely
    Suzan Bryant

The quickest way to find out if it's a fraud site is to run the CallingID Toolbar. Which I do.

So anyways, CallingID said that the owners of that site hide their identity. I don't trust offers from websites who hide their identity. If they want to make money legaly they should be forthcomming and not secretive.

    I say it's a SCAM.

Re: Art Scam? What do you think?

This is definitly a scam..I rec'd traveler cheques the other day totaling $4500 which would have given me an extra $450. I decided that I would have them checked out before I put my name on anything and I'm sure glad I did.

When I talked to the bank manager, she told me it was good that I brought them in because after you put your name on them and wire the remaining money to Susan in London or wherever they say they are from, you are the one the bank will come back to when they(bank) discover the M.O./T.C aren't real.

The bank manager told me that there are several people that have been sucked in and now owe the bank several thousands of dollars. Always check out something that is too good to be true because it usually it's what they asy it to be.

Susan and her husband made this seem very real. They didn't answer questions when you asked but he did call a couple times to make it all seem legit.

Just keep in mind - nothing is for free and also, if you can wire them money that their supposed clients are sending you, then why aren't their clients wiring directly to them for the so called art they rec'd.

The name on the letter that came to me was Susan Harrison-Justain and her husband was James.

    Careful when responding to emails.
