    Chinese ESL & TEFL Teacher Job Recruiters Getting Foreign Teachers Wrongfully Deported...

    You probably won't believe this unless and until you come to China, but what the hell, I'll run it by you... China is the world's leading producer of counterfeit products - and documents. I read somewhere that about 80% of all fake products originate in China. To be honest, they are VERY good at duplicating anything. They even make fake eggs now!

    Anyway... China foreign job recruiters make money in various ways - not just finding jobs for foreign teachers. They also sell all these other services and products:

    * Visa services
    * Apartment rentals
    * Travel insurance
    * Hookers & Dating Services
    * Chinese lessons
    * Personal Data Sold To Identity Thieves
    * Fake Diplomas & TEFL/TESOL Certificates

    Well it is the first and last category of services on the above menu that has already gotten over 2,000 foreigner China expats deported in 2014 so far, and the lies keep coming.

    Other threads already warn about the visa fraud (Simply stated: You MUST have a Z visa to legally work in China) so I will focus on the diploma and certificate fraud problem...

    Frankly, it has never been much of a problem because enforcement was almost non-existent until late 2013 and even then only marginal since a shortage of native English teachers compelled principals and deans to look the other way in order to recruit enough foreign teaching staff.

    All of that has now changed and in the last month foreign teachers have been pinched using fake or "online degrees" that the Chinese authorities say are bogus. In the last month 7 Beijing foreign teachers were arrested and deported. http://www.esl-jobs-forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=6767 and http://www.eslbase.com/forum/viewtopic/t-3401

    Now the word was leaked that next month a major offensive will be launched to weed out all the fake teachers using fake diplomas and TEFL/certificates after a Hong Kong and Taiwanese newspaper basically called mainland China's foreign teachers "unqualified".

    So, until mainland China finds enough truly qualified ESL & TEFL teachers, the fake paperwork now becomes risky business but recruiters will continue to hustle it so long as foreigners are willing to keep buying it. FYI... fortunately the Chinese process deportations quickly so foreigners busted in the new crackdown won't have to stay jailed more than 7-15 days.

    INTERESTING UPDATE: hhttp://www.bjstuff.com/profiles/blo...rted-forttp://

    I also received a PM at another forum from a young girl who was deported for working on an L visa 9 months ago, and she just got rejected for a visa to go to her sister's wedding in France! She was told she now has "a history of immigration regulatory problems" because of her China visa violation and deportation. She was also told that even when the 5 year reentry ban in China expires, she will still be flagged on th international database!

    Not many people look ahead in life. Solving the immediate problem of finding a job is all they are focused on. You shine a light on a real problem that all the new grads need to be aware when they get lured by those many "teach in China" internet ads.

    Re: Chinese ESL & TEFL Teacher Job Recruiters Getting Foreign Teachers Wrongfully Deported...

    One of the guys I used to play flag football with here in Beijing got deported back in May for working on an F visa (Z visa are what is required to work legally). He worked for Best Learning Center. We had to pay a hefty $2,000 fine to get him out of the crappy Chinese jail and they made him hand write a 2 page letter of apology to "the people of China" for being "disrespectful and arrogant" for violating Chinese laws. Then they deported him 8 days later even though he just married a Chinese girl two months prior to his arrest.

    The cops had no sympathy for the newlywed couple and even gave Jay (my friend) a 3 year reentry ban so he cannot even come back to China to see his new wife who is studying for her Phd. at Beijing Normal University. He is not even allowed to come back as a student or a tourist for 3 years.

    So get this. They agree to meet in Greece for the upcoming holidays since they were not able to get time for a honeymoon until Spring festival but Greece won't give him a visa because he was flagged in some international immigration database for being an "illegal alien" (because he was deported from China). Sometimes little problems grow into big ones! All because one recruiter could not tell the truth about the mandatory Z visa. That recruiter is Michelle Wang, or at least that is the name she uses.

    Seventeen teachers in Beijing just got their ass thrown and jail and deported for putting their trust in some yahoo recruiters who convinced them that they should buy a fake university degree to qualify for teaching positions in China. http://eslwatch.info/china-2/news-98...a-teacher.html

    You would do this at home, how do you think you can get away with it in China where every foreigner is being scrutinized these days because of the foreign pedophiles and rapists they caught teaching in China in 2012-2013?

    China ESL Job Recruiters Now Snitching Out Foreign Teachers For PSB

    Beware of the three recruiters below who were busted and are now being used in sting ops to bust teachers:

    Sylvia Wang: Selling fake TEFL certificates at eslteachercafe, and on craigslist

    "Ms Zhang"
    using tel: 18600576798 Peddling "M" visas to work

    "Maggie" using various ads online to sell fake university degrees for $1,500

    All three are working with the PSB according to foreign teacher "Mark" who was on BTV news last week with his dad who came to China to bail him out of the Graybar hotel in Champing after he paid through the nose for an M visa to an undercover woman cop posing as recruiter Zhang.

    I am surprised they don't recruit people into China and then sell their organs on the illegal medical circuit, those bastards.

    Here is the latest... 41 more Foreign ESL & TEFL teachers working in Beijing from Gao Si and Golden Tran and Mayflower were just busted;

    Teachers who fell for the teaching jobs being offered on Twitter and Facebook got a rude "good morning" 2 weeks ago when the Public Security Bureau's Visa squad in Being grabbed them as they went to work and could not produce Z visas in their passports.

    Here is one account from a user at another forum;

    "They are also using Facebook. 3 of my friends who worked at Gao Si Education group in Haidian District of Beijing were arrested two weeks ago and they were recruited from a Facebook Recruiter "ChinaCathy". And they were offered achoice to either spend 30 days in jail or a $5,000 fine and let the Chinese cops copy their phone contacts. Of course they paid the $5,000 and they are being deported this Friday. One of them was a student at Peking University and now willnot be able to graduate in June. Three years of study and tuition down the toilet! So when you hear recruiters tell someone it is 'no big deal' to get caught working without a Z visa or a real diploma, show them this story.

    The others that were busted were nabbed from a Twitter sting operation and now if everyone is offered the same choice of jail or the fine/phone deal, it is only a matter of time before the China cops have a huge database and start doing "random visa checks" that are not "random" at all.

    At the CFTU web site they have the statistics year by year showing how many foreigners got deported and the reason. It averages about 3,000 per year and over 80% of those deportation are for working without a z visa and another 10% for using fake diplomas. I wonder how they explain their new felony convictions to future employers when they go back home?

    The two people most responsible for the arrests of China foreign teachers Brett Van Zeller and Rosie Tang were just arrested. Poetic Justice imo.

    They just grabbed my neighbor at the Beijing airport yesterday after he went to teach there. The cops had his name on a list of about 3,000 fake teachers. He called me to ask him to pay his $2,000 fine but even after I did, the cops said he must still sit the full 30 days in jail as a punishment before being deported. All of this over a ing piece of paper - a fake diploma. (sigh)

    One of the biggest scam job recruiters in China has begun deleting and/or corrupting threads that expose all the scams as explained here: http://chinascamreport.wordpress.com

    Here is a listing of the last bunch of foreign expat teachers arrested and deported from China in the last 4 months (over 1,500 people) https://chinascampatrol.wordpress.co...april-of-2017/
