    1099 Versus Regular Employees

I'm starting to see a trend that I don't really like. Companies that used to hire employees on their payroll are now opting to contract with other companies who offer up workers as subcontractors. Shelf stockers, janitors and delivery drivers are just a few that come to mind.

This practice saves the company that now deals with a contractor company from having to pay out insurance. The same goes for the contractor company.

    It's sneaky and I don't like it.

They get out of paying payroll taxes too and the poor people working are forced to set aside money to pay Uncle Sam at the end of the year.
