Australians lost more than 93 million to scams in 2012

Due to the fact that Australians are shopping more and more through the internet, they are more likely to run into some scams. Last year alone, the ACCC reported 84,000 cases that were related to scams. Compared to 2011, that is a 9 percent increase of scams. "Outsmart the scammers" is a campaign that has started by the Australasian Consumer Fraud Taskforce to raise awareness on the activities of scammers and how people can prevent themselves from being a victim.

I love and respect the scam hunters that turn around the whole thing onto the scammers.
