Re: BEWARE of Google Money Tree

On Thursday Feb. 12, after agreeing to pay the postage for a packet of information in which GMT called me, I discovered that I was now also on the hook for the $72/month. I was shocked and felt very vulnerable because I had also just given my credit card number. I checked out the website given to me and was disappointed that it was just more marketing of internet ideas... and also realized that it had nothing to do with Google at all.
I found this (SCAM.COM) website that same night and also pm'd "ITSEASYTOFIXTHIS" with no response. However to be fair, first thing next day I called and cancelled so he could have checked it and confirmed my cancellation and felt that there was no need to followup however, my cancellation was too late to stop the shipment... although my suspicion based on the misleading sales practices makes me wonder if this was true.... anyway... to be fair, the person who took my call was polite and gave me my confirmation number for the cancellation without any issues.
On Saturday morning I received a call from the same person but claiming to be from "Googletel". I told him I wasn't interested in anything from his company (firmly but politely) and hung up. There is no point in him wasting his time or mine on this call.

IMHO GMT operates in the gray zone of internet businesses. The service it provides are of questionable value and the sales practices are very misleading. For that reason I think it should be termed a scam. There is not a clear presentation of the program and its benefits and the consideration that will be paid for the benefit.
Anyway, I will not waste any more time on this company. Life is short and I've learned a valuable lesson.

    cheers!

And this is a good one: "My name is Mary Hoeffer. Married 3 years to Audrey". Now one of the people in that 'vacation photo' does not look much like a Mary or Audrey to me! :spin2:

    NEW INFORMATION ON GMT
I don't recall seeing this info here but, I found this elsewhere and wanted to pass it on.

I received a reply from Nevada Attorney General's office after filing Google Money Tree Complaint. They advised me that Google Money Tree has several Las Vegas addresses including 375 E Tropicana Ste 308, however they are all merely mail drops. There are no employees of Google Money Tree at any address in the State of Nevada.
    Mail sent to Nevada addresses is forwarded to an address in Utah;
    405 E 12450 South #G, Draper, UT 84020.

    From Nevada Attorney General
    Bureau of Consumer Protection
    February 10. 2009
"This office has investigated complaint and that investigation revealed Google Money Tree has several Las Vegas Addresses, however they are merely maildrops. There are no employees of Google Money Tree in the State of Nevada.
    Mail sent to Nevada mail drops is forwarded to an address in Utah;
    405 E 12450 South #G, Draper, UT 84020.
Complaints should be resubmitted to the Utah Attorney General."

The letter from the Attorney General in Nevada gave me the real information on Google Money Tree. The mail sent to the Tropicana address in Las Vegas is forwarded to Utah.
    The address is:
    405 E 12450 S #G
    Draper, UT 84020
It is the business address of Jonathan D. Eborn, who is doing business under the name Two Warnings.
They also told me to file my complaint with the Utah Attorney General and that they would be happy to send their investigation report over to Utah if asked

Re: BEWARE of Google Money Tree

hehe, these posts have been quite fun to read.

GMT hasn't done anything really wrong but their "rep" on here is kinda a dick, right? Calling them dumb and threatening a lawsuit for a blog. Ha, that will be the day you can't sue Pirate Bay for downloading software but you are gonna sue a blogger for being pissed? People are upset they got tricked by all the flashing lights same as those that bought into Scamway I mean Amway/Quixtar International or whatever they decided to change their name to.

But if you actually bought this then hey I got swamp land in FL to sell ya. Come on people there is a simple rule if it sounds too good to be true than it is. You have the world at your fingertips and you can't say you didn't have the ability to research it you were already in front of the computer! BBB has these things on their site 90% of the time. Stop falling for these ridiculous things and maybe one day these marketing geniuses will make a legit product that someone can sell someday. Until then good luck hopefully you can find a real job in this market but it seems like there are a ton of openings for the sales department at pipe manufacturing places.

I believe you can buy certain swampland. You can also buy, believe it or not, land on the moon. There is a law that states no government agency or buisness can own the moon, but a guy (not sure of his name) discovered that there was no law preventing a civillian from owning the moon. He has capitalized on it, selling plots of land on the moon to whoever wants to buy them. You get a deed for the property and everything. Probably have to pay property tax on it too. lol I know this info is pointless on this forum, but I thought it was interesting.

I had heard somewhere you could get these deeds. I wonder what the resale would be in todays market. How does he know which plots have more or less value than others if he has not been there to assay them? :cwm2:

this is 100% a internet scam, first thing i caught... wtf 70$ + membership cost per month ummm why is it 70 dollars, NO INFORMATION on why its that high, just bull, second thing, i got a call from these people... i NEVER EVEN FULLY FINISHED SUBMITTING MY REQUEST, just the first page and i STOPPED on the second page when i saw that they needed my credit card, i was like ill give it some thought, couple days later they called my house asking if i wanted it, why is it so hard for someone to understand NO, i told them i definitly dont want it, the fact that they called my house turned me off, not only that, but for some reason they knew my middle name... umm last time i checked they only ask for your first name and last, im so happy i didnt give them any sort of credit card information, i caught on just in the nick of time

Is there anyone that has been using the GMT website for over three months and finding it worth it? Would you please provide a testimonial here? Please explain how its worth the $72/mo. This could be a good chance for some positive info about the company.

Re: BEWARE of Google Money Tree

I pmed Mr itseasyfofixthis on Feb 17 and haven't received a response from him. I want my money refunded PLEASE! I already called customer service and she said that I have to send the kit back. WHAT KIT? I ordered the 3.88 kit on Feb 2...it's Feb 20. I know that there this:

30 Day Unconditional Satisfaction Guarantee and Cancellation Requirements

At any time during the first thirty days, if you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, you may call customer service at 1-866-870-4257 for a refund of your monthly subscription and the shipping fee. When you call, a customer representative will give you an RGA (Return Goods Authorization) number. The kit must then be returned with the RGA number. You must be able to confirm delivery to receive your refund. Please ship your kit with a delivery confirmation to our fulfillment center: 405 East 12450 South, Suite I, Draper, Utah 84020. Note: This address is for returns only. All other correspondence must be sent to the address on the website.

So I told the rep that what if I don't receive my kit w/in the 30 days then what? I have to waste more of my cell minutes to call you guys? She bluntly said yes. She didn't know what she wasn't talking about because obviously I should have received that damn kit by now and she didn't know what to do but to tell me to wait for it. So pretty much she's trying to get me to wait after until the 30 days are over... anyhoo, I'm pretty disappointed at myself for even falling for this. Obviously the site was misleading (http://www.jasonberinski.com/?t202id=53131&t202kw=MMC1-quick%20money-2). Which indicates this on the website:

Can you say "I can afford $1.95" to have become completely debt free and cash in your pocket. Yes!!! You see, I am just doing my part and let the word out so that you don't have to go through what I ended up going through.

So if Mr. itseasytofixthis sees this post can you please help? I've already cancelled my subscription and want my money refunded $92.65 CDN, GMT can keep the 3.88.

    Thanks

Re: BEWARE of Google Money Tree

To all those who have PM'd me.. asking for a refund, please know that your refunds have been processed and will credit to your card/bank in 3 to 5 business days. This is not something we controll, however, just the time it takes all the banks and credit card companies to reverse the charges.

Also... if you PM me, please include your first name, last name & city/state. That is all the information I need to assist you.

Further... because the PM mail box on this site only allows 50 messages (including sent), I might not always reply with a confirmation message... this is partly to ensure that the PM box always has enough room on it to receive inbound messages.

You may also call customer service, and request an RGA number to return your kit, and your account will be cancelled and monies refunded at that time.

Finally... if you were charged an amount other than $3.88 for shipping, and $72.21 for monthly membership... then you purchased someone else's product, and I'm not able to assist you. GMT has no affiliation whatsoever with emillionaire.

    Thanks for your continued patience.
