You're half-right. However the surface temperatures after homogeneity adjustments -- to account for stuff like changes in thermometers etc. -- still show no difference in the trends for the two stations. Check out the graphs and data here and here.

For all data explainations, I suggest you defer to Steve McIntyre's http://www.climateaudit.org/
    He's corrects Mr. Hansen often.

LOL @ bic you are funny. Are you trying to pretend like you were justified in modifying the datapoints?

I ownder how many graphs you have modified data points in your "proofs"

Can you make a graph so show how the world population is decreasing? Just start with 6 billion back in 1900 and have is do a jaggedy sland down to 2 billion today. They you can say your made up GW church is killing people... AT AN ALARMING RATE!!

    Dude... you suck.

In fact you were correct in challenging my saying "I don't see how you modified the data"... I was wrong in saying that. I should have said I don't understand what your relavance your modified data points have to any arguement.

Not really, it's perfectly valid in some cases.

If I'm reading things correctly I don't think Bic did the scaling, but that blog. In any case, it looks to me like this is simply the raw data vs. the calibrated data. It's not at all unusual for a calibration to be non-linear. In fact, if all the data points were scaled by the same amount I wouldn't take the data seriously at all. I wouldn't mind finding out how they calibrate the equipment though, and read their justification for the scaling.
