Today, the MLM industry have grown into some multi billion dollar industry and there’s no indication that its going to stop as long as there are gullible people who’s visions and goals were to earn a living without doing any hard work i.e. being lazy!
As long as some crook organizers at the top positions are getting something out of it. As long as there are silly products and dumb consumers. As long as such business goes on. MLM through rewards and fraudulent schemes will be here.

I've known some people in MLM who are honest and make a decent supplemental income. They're not getting rich by any means, but they like what they do and they pull in enough cash to pay a few bills, enjoy a night out and sock away some savings.

That being said, I have found that the higher up you look, the more the lines of ethical business behavior tend to blur. They say that if you want to be really "successful", you must engage in practices such as "creative truth" (well, we know what that is). They say you must follow their "system", but often the system they teach involves tactics of dishonesty, deception and emotional manipulation. They look down on those within their own organizations who have modest, realistic goals and wish to use MLM to generate a small part-time income stream, and push the idea of being a millionaire. They believe that honesty and ethics are a hindrance to success in business, and although they may boast about how ethical they are, they tend to say one thing and do another. That has been my experience.

I've been involved with a few MLM's over the years, and I only found one that I was truly comfortable with. I ultimately left that organization due to lack of interest. As for the rest, there was an ethical wall I would hit where I was asked to do something that violated my moral compass. To me, no amount of money is worth the pit in one's stomach that comes from personal ethical violation. Sure, I can tell myself all the "creative truth" in the world, but at the end of the day I know where my boundaries are, and I know I have to answer to my conscience. Some of the bigwigs in the MLM industry might laugh that off and tell me I'll never "succeed", but if betraying my conscience makes me a failure in their eyes, so be it. I don't have to answer to them. That's reserved for a Higher Authority.
