Still think fire can't melt/weaken steel?

    Fire did this.

See those cranes in the background? They're melting.

    No explosives involved.

Now shut up about that, will you? Tales of holograms and political conspiracies are cute, but when you ignore the LAWS OF PHYSICS you are crossing the line.

I'm curious why you posted a picture of a burned out building, with no information of the type of fire it suffered?

I'm also curious why you posted a picture of a building that plainly shows that the part that collapsed is a pile of twisted steel?

I again wonder why, you posted a picture of a building that clearly shows, that the portion that didn't collapse, was held up by concrete support beams and not steel?

    mmmmmmmmmm...let's see:

    Q. I again wonder why, you posted a picture of a building that clearly shows, that the portion that didn't collapse, was held up by concrete support beams and not steel?

    A. Because he is a dipshit
    B. Because he has no idea of what he is talking about and is a dipshit.
    c. Because does not spend the time to research, he has no idea of what he is talking about and is a dipshit.
    D. Same as A.
    E. Because the only "cut and paste" he can do in the ward, has to be done without "sharp" objects....and he is a dipshit.

Re: Still think fire can't melt/weaken steel?

So is what you're saying is that this pic proves that fire does not weaken steel and lead to building collapse.

    ============

And that it also proves that explosived were used in the WTC collapse as shown in this pic

    Is that assessment correct?

Re: Still think fire can't melt/weaken steel?

    weaken yes.
    ......chop up and destroy...no!

I was a boy scout, a welder, a real pilot too.
I know a little more about steal bending and melting than most posting.....
Still think fire can't melt/weaken steel? ........Now go find a "total collapse'' pic and post it.
    You Can't! :
.........post a steel building that collapsed from fire (Other than 911),
....the pic above proves u can't.
That Building burned glow RED all night long too! Look at it! Its like a broke in Bar BQ pit you just bought from Walmart.
.....u could set fire to it again and it would not collapse!
.....Wheres the total collapse? -0- for the record books....
........911 there were three that had help! :zx11pissed:
    .....sucks to be a *igga....yb:

Woo Hoo... you were a boy scout... so what.
    A welder??? yeah, right
    A real pilot? totally irrellevant

So you're saying it can and that your pic proves it?
    ------------------
It is not necessary to illustrate total collapse since you haven't clarified for us whether or not fire can weaken or melt steel. All we're talking about is weakening or melting... not collapsing.

Is the steel, in the building pic you posted, weakened to the point of partial collapse, from fire? If it is then you have just agreed with furbearingbrick's initial post.

    .... Mostly correct
Id say less than 5% of the steel fell off that building up top.
can u post better pics? of some thing that collapsed made out of steel?
    Do I feel a spin coming? :spin2:

Or u suggesting that explosives were used on 911?

LOL...all of the sudden, Soulbore has extensive knowledge of physics?

Soulbore, please explain why you can understand physics, but you cannot understand how heat can affect the integrity and strength of steel.

Please use words because you pictures don't prove anything.

He's off in his own little world... he's saying that heat does not cause steel to deform and loose it's strength... and showing pics of deformed steel to prove his point.

speaking about a pic showing a partially collapsed steel structure:
"So is what you're saying is that this pic proves that fire does not weaken steel and lead to building collapse.
    ------
And that it also proves that explosived were used in the WTC collapse as shown in this pic"
    .... Mostly correct

Yet he follows this statement up with this gem:

The last I recall Blacksmithing/metalurgy wasn't a merit badge in the Boy Scouts in the 60's & IF he actually was a welder then he is contradicting himself regarding heat weakening steel.

    ...he's gone bye-bye
he doesn't know whether he's coming or going
