    Experience w/ www.lossmitigation2008.com?

Does anyone have any experience with www.lossmitigation2008.com and Decision 1 HomeSavers? They claim to be a loss mitigation company that helps people avoid foreclosure. I have spent a lot of time trying to research them and haven't found much.

What I understand, so far, about the company: It appears that you pay them $500 or $1000 to sign up with the company to become a "LM Consultant" (LMC) and they will provide you with websites, marketing ideas and some training to generate pre-foreclosure leads. But, the LMC pays for much of the actual marketing for the pre-foreclosure leads. It doesn't appear to be MLM.

Upon getting the leads, the LM Consultant gets the pre-foreclosure client's general information in the form of an application (no financial forms are collected from clients) and that is submitted to Decision 1 HomeSavers and they handle the rest. The LMC is then paid a fee of $350-$700 for each successful case that Decision 1 HomeSavers closes, which appears to be only loan mods and forebearance...I don't think they will work DIL and Short sales.

It appears to me, by signing up, the LMC is more of a lead generator for Decision 1 rather than actual LMC who deals directly with the lender(s) for the client...but you get paid for leads generated for Decision 1.

From experience, I know it takes a lot of work (hours, days and weeks) to handle a loss mitigation case...plus, it's a huge responsiblilty to take on. If I could generate leads, hand them off to Decision 1 HomeSavers and know this company would find an ethical resolution, and I get paid for it, I would be a very happy man. (pipe dream, I know).

I'd like to hear from people that have either signed up with them or clients that have used their service...instead of the "walks like a duck, therefore a scam" responses.

    Thanks.

Loved your insight Borisf96...way to go...your 10 word or less comments (on this post and several others) provide a wealth of knowledge. I'd now like to hear more about your expertise just as much as I would to hear about the company I'm asking about.

Like I wrote before...I'd like to hear from people that have either signed up with them or clients that have used their service...instead of the "walks like a duck, therefore a scam" responses.

You are either promoting them or really desperate.

Hello everyone. I have been in Mortgage Banking (wholesale) for 16 years and my business came to a stand still 2006. In May of 2006 I was hired as a LMS (not LMC) with Decision1 HS. I earned over six figures within my first 11 months. That being said it was a lot of work. D1HS made it easy because of a system that is built for starters and then handed off to the finishers, Loss Mitigation Specialist.
    Thank you D1

I have had a brief experience of dealing with this company (D1HS or Decision One Homesavers) and their services are questionable. I found conflicting information on their website and was not able to locate them by address, phone or company name in several public directories. I pulled up the Illinois Secretary of State website to see their Certificate of good standing and found conflicting information there as well. For one, the Agent name is Scott L Ely not Scott Kennedy as is posted on the D1HS website. For two the address is Meadow Land Circle not Meadow Circle as is posted on the D1HS website. I attended their Webinar and was contacted by Scott Kennedy and a Thomas McCormick. I sent an email request for them to explain the discrepancies and have not received a reply. Now I don't know if this company is a "Scam" or not but based on the information that I have located, I am not comfortable sending them $488 or $988 of my hard earned money. Everyone must make their own decision.

That is funny, this person puts negative remarks about D1 Homesavers. I am absolutely positive it is the person they would not hire. It is a shame someone that absolutely does not qualify to work with the company, and was told graciously that they did not. I was at the office when they recieved her email late on the 25th of February, and I know that they were in the process of returning the email, when they got a call about this. But regardless, D1 homesavers had already decided not to let this person be a part of D1 homesavers. Please, don't give a great company bad pub. because you were not chosen. I have been with this company for 63 days, and I love it!!!!

REGISTERED AGENT: The corporation must appoint a registered agent who has a business address within the State. The agent is not necessarily the owner. I, as an attorney, am the registered agent for 50+ companies. Bill Gates is not listed as the agent of IBM. According to the person that was not hired by D1, if Bill Smith was listed as the Agent for IBM, you are implying that Bill Gates doesn't exist. Get over it! Find another job. If you can.

D1hs Decision One Home Savers Is A Great Company That Helps People Save Their Homes. All Of This Negative Talk Is Just Rediculous. There Is No Basis For It. I Am Working For Them And Can Personally Vouch For Its' Legitimacy.

D1hs Is A Great Company That Provides A Vital Service For Its' Clients.

There Are People Out There That Were Let Go. Now They Have No Jobs And Obviously Too Much Time On There Hands. So They Are Lying About D1hs.

Yes I have. Where do I start....Scott Kennedy real name is Scott Ely. Thomas McCormick is really Thomas Tomlinson. Jennifer Van Housen is Jennifer Johnson. The business address used (I understand they have changed it) of 25846 Meadow (Meadowland) Circle Plainfield, Il. records show it is a private residence of Jennifer Johnson. The phone # listed to her is also that address. # 815-782-7081, the answering machine used to say this is the Ely residence, now it states the Johnson residence. Thomas phone 815-254-6070 list to a Thomas Tomlinson at 2003 Pebble Beach Dr, Plainfield Il.
the only conclusion I can come to is this is not above board. They have not been able to keep/find a processor to stay/work with them so they hired Penny R (who knows what her last name is) in house. I'd like to know her credentials/references.....................
The company phone (Pursue Intl) of 312-265-6561 isn't listed to either company. It registers to a active "land line" in Chicago.

Both Scott and Tom will deny that they are using false last names.....hmmmmmmmmm..smells like carp to me.

I know who sent that. And we all know what that person's story is. I hope everyhing gets better in your life. Making false accusations about D1HS and the people that work for them is not gonna make things better for you. I don't know what it is you have to gain by trying to sabatage a good company. You need to get facts befor you do something like that. Your wrong on many counts, and you owe them an apology. Being in the field you were in before you got involved with D1HS, you should really know better.
    GOOD LUCK WITH YOU!!

What is my story P.V.? I cant believe your still believing this hype, unless your part of the whole scheme. Good Luck to you to. Tom sending out an email titled MALICIOUS, stating this person is using a fake name....WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe he is waging his finger at that one!! Talk about being deceiving !

Who is P.V? Your making alot of accusations. You need to get control of yourself. Even if people do use DBA names, that is not elligal. I know for a fact this company is very good, and you need to get over it. Just because it did not happen for you over night, does not mean it's not a great company. They have now put the pieces in place for the agents, it's just too bad you jump the gun, and are not around anymore. You have to remember, this was not, and is not a get rich quick scheme, it takes time.
On a serious note. GOOD LUCK

Enough of all this jealousy. You need to look in the mirror and ask...why am i unhappy? why am I hating the successful people, the people that are risking and are excited about life! passionate about their work!

I once worked for one of these loan modification companies. They sold their program to "agents" or "counselors" who went out and got loss mitigation cases for them. They were not licensed to do loss mit in thier own state, so they recruited agents from other states to bring them cases.
At first I thought they really were trying to help until I started seeing them pre-qualifying borrowers that they knew were not going to get the modification they wanted just to collect the fee among other things.
To the person who has been on the job for 63 days and loves it, love it now because it isn't going to last. It's very rare that anyone lasts more than a year in that field. They don't leave on their own, they are let go because they start to understand what these companies are doing and start asking too many questions.
These companies are taking advantage of desparate people by charging them to do something that they could do themselves. Their day is coming.
