Living In American - Part 4

Right, SHE is away for the next ten days. And I am bored. And YWFT = boredom is like really dangerous.

So, please take part in this, if only to give me something to do at night, other than walk the dog!

Imagine that I am a person who is looking to settle in the US.

I am looking for a place that would fit the bill on four counts.

    These are;

    1) Diversity of employment oppotunities

    2) Things to do

    3) The friendlieness of the people, ie no psedo snobs

    4) How pretty the place looks

Now, I have just picked eight from the to of my head, and over the next few days, I will pair them against one another, so that we go from 8, to 4, then 2, then the winner.

State why you voted the way that you did, and yes, I realise that some are states, and that in those cases just pick the best city within that state, hey, please just go with me on this one!

Right, here is the first pairing.

The vote for which will close after ONE day.

The winner of that will go through to the next round.

    So.

    Here we go.

    Excited?

Probably not, but f**** it, play anyway.

    It is

    New York...

By the criteria you stated, New York is 4 for 4 over Vegas...IMO

Night life wise, they are close, but they don't refer to NYC as the city that never sleeps for nothing... and unless you are really into gambling (and maybe legalized prostitution) you could always vacation in Vegas to quell your needs, also you can gamble in Connecticut at the Indian Res. (state next door)...next!

    Hey Steve,

The sandals are great, I have been wearing them while hanging out in the garden...then I put on the "wife beater" t-shirt, make a Vegamite sandwich and talk to myself loudly in an Austrailian accent :D (my neighbors already think I'm nuts, so, why disappoint them? ;)

    Dang.

A 2-2 draw means the coin gets flipped.

    Here we go then....

And joining the last four, will be.....

(Heads it's NYC, tails, Las Vegas)

Came up as tails, Las Vegas.

    First semi final to follow....

As the late great singer, Frank Sinatra, said, NEW YORK< NEW YORK. I have been there many times. And who wants to live out in the desert of Las Vegas. That place will become a desert again, they have really bad water shortages. There is like one million or more people living out there! Snakes are everywhere and who can live in that type of climate! NEW YORK is my Final answer!
