President Bush Pushing Illegal Immigration Bill Again 06/14/07 Call Your Congress

This president is trying to push this ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION BILL AGAIN CALL YOUR CONGRESS TODAY AND TELL THEM TO STOP!!!

President George W. Bush today urged Senate leaders to resolve their issues "as quickly as possible" so he can sign into law a comprehensive immigration reform bill. "I'm confident that we can pass a bill into law this year, and it will show the American people that we can prove we are serious about confronting the great issues of our time. Now is the time to set aside all the political wrangling that tends to dominate the scene here in Washington, D.C., and do hard work and pass a comprehensive immigration bill," said Bush.

Among other things it claims that a "z" visa will be issued to the illegals already
here, which is a joke since they dont/cant enforce visas or green cards now
so who would really think they could manage something like that. They claim
that the border will be more secure.....theyve done nothing of substance in
years...no fence that was promised...catch and release has been standard
practice so why bother. They claim that people will be brought out of the
shadows...well, only if they want to come out of the shadows of course and
no where do they address chain migration of all these millions of people they
want to put on a path to citizenship, which weve always had a "path" called
legal immigration. People already going through the process will watch others
break the law and get put ahead of them. Thats rotten. People in the process
are the kind of people we want....people who want to become American!
What a slap in the face of people who have done "it" the right way!!!

Glad to see you back. :)

Thanks GoodWitch, it's good to be back.

    Yea, that bill sucks.

I personally know several people who are legally going thru the system. They have had to pay several fees and lots of paper work, and it takes a long, long time to become a citizen. They really feel cheated by the special treatment illegals continue to recieve.

Yes, its giving preferance to those who would break our laws, demand that
they not be enforced (among many demands), reject assimilation and wreak
havoc in our culture. Its fine for people to come here and embrace their own
cultures but when one immigrates (through the process) it usually is because
they want to become part of the country and play by our rules.
I spoke to a Russian lady recently. She had gone through so much to even
get here and to have her mother visit her was unbelievably complex and she
had to observe a strict timetable and return promptly....no chain migration
    there!
