D.C. Metro Area - Has anyone heard of Metro Dream Homes?

Has anyone heard of the Metro Dream Homes Program which supposedly pays off your mortgage in a few years and with an initial investment that comes from the equity in your home? They claim to invest with your initial investment, then use the revenue to pay off your house, give you an additional monthly income, and allow you to quit your job and never work again. I know better and know for a fact that this is a scam but I wanted to also get the opinion of others who may no more about this. I also found out you have to use their lenders when starting the home equity loan process but they don't want you to ever mention their name or refer to them while doing so.

Here are the facts that I have so far:

    1. The initial investment is 15% of your homes value.
    2. A portion of the initial investment is used to start several additional business in your name such as YTB, etc.
    3. You refinance your current mortgage and give the equity proceeds to this company so they can re-invest the money and also pay your mortgage with your own money!
    4. They also have a car purchase program.

I also think that this scam may be similar to the 3 Hebrew Boys scam operation that was recently shut down. I hear those guys got arrested.

It is a standard scheme/scam. First few recruits will get paid from money of new new recruits. But eventually, as with every scheme of this type, it will get investigated by government and then get closed. Look for identical aid4families and 3hebrewboys scams.

Identical promises were made by other scams I mentioned. It is impossible to take 10%/20% of the equity in the home and invest it to pay for the home. And the other bull about not working again. It is a lie. You just can not "invest" money other than casino or lottery to expect this kind of return.

It is typical ponzi/pyramid. John and 19 others pay for Jacks house and monthly payments. Then they have to get 400 other suckers to pay for John and other 19 "investors". And so on and so on.

From what I have seen, this scheme usually does not last 2 years. Governments close them pretty fast because it is real estate scam and they take it very seriously.

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks chances are its a duck. Or in this case a ponzi.

I went to a seminar on this last night only because 2 friends of mine signed up for this. It was the WORST thing I've ever heard of and any sucker who believes it really shouldn't even be allowed to own a home. They give you NO reassurance that they are going to pay your mortgage and pay off your home except 'our good word". I kid you not. I even asked if they could provide financial proof of their past two years as they were claiming to pay off people's homes and they said no. It was the most unprofessional, BS thing I've ever seen. So I keep asking questions and finally the guy starts telling me that it's a blessing. When all else fails bring the lord into it, right? Please DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!!!! They need to be reported right away!!!!

I agree! I also think that its really sad that these scams often seem to operate in the name of "the Lord" and often try to use people's faith in God against them! To be honest, I don't know what religion/faith even has to do with it! No ones belief in God should turn them into a complete idiot who just gives their money away to any loser who claims to be doing God's work and bringing blessings! People should use the brain and common sense that "God" gave them realize a scam when they see it.

    All,

Metropolitan Grapevine, LLC is NOT A SCAM. We are BBB approved in MD, VA and DC. Our company is unique and may seem like a scam to some because of other scams that 'mirror' our structure. However, we are legitimate investors in all types of other companies. Such as Billboards for ATM's, ATM machinces and commerical adverstising to name a few. Our website is: http://www.metrograpevine.net/. Please take a look at it and even reach out to our contacts to find out more information for yourself. I find that listening to others is not always the answer. Especially when the information is coming form individuals who have only heard about something and do not have first hand knowledge.

Member thbenterprises defended the company, but it seemed more like an advertisement. I found Metro Dream Homes, LLC listed on the BBB web site at www.bbb.org. It was not a member and had an "unsatisfactory record." Their words not mine.

I read the information on the metrograpevine web site. I found it vague and unbelievable. thbenterprises stated that they had numerous investments. So what? Why do you need unsophistigated individuals to risk their equity in their homes? If you have such profitable investments, why not get venture capital or a bank loan or something? How long has the metro dream homes program existed? How long has Metro Dream Homes, LLC existed? Has anyone completed the program and had their equity used to pay off their entire mortgage? And more importantly, has the FBI been informed of Metro Dream Homes business model?

Metro-Grapevine, pos dream home, metro dream home is all a big scam. They tell you to give them 15% equity from your house, and they invest that money in other things and in 5 years your house will be paid off. Lets say if a house worth 1 million, you give them 150,000.00. In five years they will pay off your mortgage which is 1 million plus taxes and insurance which would be another 100,000.00. This company has been in business for three years. Where is their financial records. The only way 150,000 in investment would pay off a 1 million dollar home in five years is if they invest that money in illegal drugs, prostitution, or casino. There is absolutely nothing else that can give you this much return. I really hope people out there are smater than investing their money in this scam and loosing everything. I do think they go after uneducated people because they are easier to manipulate and dont ask too many questions.

I'd advise everyone who is planning to attend the Charlotte Seminar on August 4th to wear a mask or some form of disguise since there will be a lot of videoing going on.

Just have a good week-end, save your money and be thankful that someone is watching over you. :D

Re: D.C. Metro Area - Has anyone heard of Metro Dream Homes?

All of you, who believe this is a scam, go right ahead. All I know is that I am in the program and I've been living mortgage free for over a year now. The money that I've saved from not paying my mortgage along with the payout I've been receiving has allowed me to accumulate nearly $90,000 in my money market account. So, to all of you non-believers, you need to get back to work so you can make that mortgage payment that's coming up. I'm in the airport on my way to the Caribbean for the next 10 days.

You havent had your house paid off yet and people are still entering the program. What you dont know is what I do and that they have only been in business and you will soon be back to work to pay for the equity you gave them. When people stop entering there is nothing coming in and you will be short. If not the next succer will be. Just a hint from someone VERY familiar with this company
