    New government scam

Be wrongly sent to jail for three years and get a bill for the time you spent in jail.

To me that qualifies as a major SCAM.
If such practices are allowed to go unpunished then before long they could wrongly imprison people at random in an attempt to make a profit on the "lodging".

No I didn't click on the link. I rarely click on links especially in the government scams or conspiracy theory forums. If somebody can't present their own arguments then I've really no interest in discussing anything with them. I have a search engine too for research but I'm hear to carry on a dialogue with real people. But if he's serious he'll get back to me.

Of course I'm serious. Thought perhaps more outraged and speechless at how the UK has the nerve to wrongly imprison someone only to then present a whopping bill for the "food and lodging" provided to the innocent victim.

The point of discussion seems clear to me, based on this new radical move by the government. If it is ok to charge inmates the cost of imprisonment (which would be a way to cover the cost somewhat instead of having it all come out of our tax money) which serveral countries are debating about, then what is the result of such a system for those who are wrongly imprisoned. The UK clearly believes in charging those victims of the system as their actions show.

I'm not sure what you mean by conspiracy theory, though. Unless you are implying that the news was made up and fed through the UK media (which doesn't seem to be the case).

My reference to the conspiracy theory forum was to illustrate that like this forum, "government scams", people seem to think that posting some link or another that they've managed to find with their search engine is relevant information that I am willing to waste my time with. As I've said before, I too have a search engine if I wish to research data. But I am here at scam.com to carry on real dialogues with real people. Not to see who can come up with the most search results. Debate the way you chose and I'll do the same.

The only fly in that ointment for the tax payers is that the socio economic
level of most prisoners would not reap a thin dime in their upkeep.
