This is a REAL At-Home Job

Hey, if you REALLY want a stay-at-home job, sometimes some education needs to be present. For example, I wanted to go to a college that was close to home, so I didn't have to pay for rent. I was going to get a degree as a Medical Office Assistant (or secretary) and my mom suggested I pick a few more certificates, since the MOA was only a one year program. She explained that Medical Coders and Medical Transcriptionists can work from home. Don't believe me?

I graduated this year with the three above certificates. I was panicked because the requirements to graduate with the certificate is 120 hours of internship for each certificate. I signed up to do my internship in December of 2006. However, the end of the school year was coming quickly and I still hadn't found an internship. Low and behold, one of my classmates in my coding class told me about a job she started working for.

The company is called CTS Medical. I called and she started training me the next day ON THE PHONE!! Talk about wierd being trained over a phone with a computer in front of you. I now have about 80 hours done with this internship, and as soon as I am done, they will hire me as a part-time employee starting at $10 an hour. I'm going to Utah State in the fall, and how many college students get to work from home, any time they want, for $10 an hour?

I don't know personally but from what I read it sounds like when you go to college for a degree and are required to do an internship for the degree. So I doubt there is a fee. They are probably just getting free work and making sure the person is well trained and serious about it before hiring.

Exactly! It's the coolest thing too! All training is done over the phone, and the people who I work with are the best. There are a lot of transcription companies you can find out there that work from home, but I suggest you contact a college and not google for them. Who knows what you could find!
