What does Science say about this . . .?

I have been thinking about much of what the science guys
and gals have had to say on here and believe you me I
have researched many things which you have presented,
by way mostly of link to what another science guy
says, but nevertheless what you take as fact with what
seems to be little research or evidence.

What do you do with this?

In the book of Hebrews ch 11 verse 3
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

It wasn't until the 20th century that scientist discovered this to be true. Everything is comprised of atoms, protons, etc.
These things are invisible to the naked eye. How did the writer of Hebrews know that?

    Happy weekend!

He didn't know that. Had he, he would have presented some evidence. Geez.
The terminally stupid and certifiably insane.

This is a classic retrofit. How can anyone presume to know that what the writer meant "things which do not appear". You presume to think that he was referring to atoms. That is a presumption on your part, based on your twentieth century knowledge. You just wish it to be so, like most of your fellow jesus robots.
He may have meant that everything is a god fingerpuppet, you can guess where god puts the manipulating digit.

What do you mean they are invisible to the naked eye?

Do you just mean that they are too small to distinguish? Because bacteria are too small to see with the naked eye, but I can see them with an optical microscope. Likewise I can see atoms with a scanning transmission electron microscope.

But like you said, everything is made up of atoms so everytime you see anything you are seeing atoms.

I am very proud of yah, the writer of Hebrews didn't have such microscopes.
The writer was inspired by God, who knows all because He created all of it.

How would someone who lived thousands of years ago describe a nuclear bomb???

"the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with a fervent heat; both the Earth and the works which are in it will be burned up..."

I'm sorry but there is no way for me to maintain a serious conversation with logic like this, so I'm bowing out.

Whoa! deja view! I'm sure I read this somewhere before. Is this an example of spam? Perhaps someone should have their account suspended??

In response to this statement. This is a rather long stretch to equate this statement as a summary of atomic theory. Most reports on explaining atomic theory require a book about the entire size of the bible to describe the rules and interaction of atomic and subatomic particals.

Especially when you realize that this statement is inherantly false. You ahve a point that people back then did not have microscopes.

The statement says that things are not made of things that DO APPEAR. With microscopes we can see the things that things are made of. So we can make them appear. Which means that they do appear. Maybe not back then but they certainately do now.

Too bad god was too dumb to put a time-clause on that rule. Yep. Perfectly dumb, right?
