    Import/export home business

I see a lot of material for sale on how to start and run a home based import/export business. Has anyone here ever tried it?

I also am intersted in this type of biz. I even met with the lawyer in our city who is the import export specialist for the chamber of commerce. There is
$ to be made. I came across the site www.mainlandchinatrading.com.
It seems ok, the investment is high and refundable. Murray Smith seems to be honest up front about what they do and the connection is already in China. I am researching this one. Any thoughts?

Finding a legitimate supplier is the challenge. Unfortunately to do this means working with suppliers overseas. The only time I have seen this work is when the business owner physically traveled to the potential supplier before doing business with them.

If you are going 100% online, it is extremely likely you will be scammed.

I honestly don't see how this could work without physically knowing meeting with someone. Trying to do this 100% online just seems to be a recipe for disaster.

Sometimes just using your search engines you can get a whole lot of information that is for free and much better than what people sell to you.
