BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - Police and Iraqi state television said a car bomb exploded Tuesday near a park popular with young soccer players, killing at least 18 boys in Ramadi, a city west of Baghdad.

Both local police and state television said the bomb-rigged car blew apart Tuesday afternoon while the boys, aged 10-15, were playing in Ramadi, an insurgent stronghold about 70 miles west of Baghdad.

Grim, your mind is as poisoned as the poor misguided souls who have misinterpreted the words of the prophet Muhammad!

Are you becoming as extreme as them?

You seem to be attempting to stir up some sort of anti-Islam feeling.

Isn't that just as bad as Muslim extremists attempting to stir up anti-Christian feeling?

it is puzzling how "they" go on and on about fighting for god and their faith, yet they seem to have no problem killing their own kind

    Here is a crazy question.
Why are these kids out playing in the middle of a F***ing war zone to begin with???
I am sorry. This story makes me want to cry.I have 4 kids,my oldest two are boyz 13 and 11.This S*** breaks my F***ing heart and makes me want to SCREAM!!!!
I just don't get why kids are let out to play with all that is going on over there.
My kids would be at my side at all times.
We can chase down all our enemies
    bring them to their knees
we can bomb the world to pieces
but we cant bomb it into peace
whoa, we may even find a solution
    to hunger and disease
we can bomb the world to pieces
but we cant bomb it into peace

You grow numb to it. After almost 5 years of it, it is almost common place.

It's strange to us because we are blessed with not living in a war zone, but in countries where war is practically part of every day life (take Israel and pakistan for instance) one grows immune to the dangers.

Plus, you can't put children in bottle and lock them away. To have any kind of life at all, they must be allowed to grow where planted. Children are very resilient. Some of these children can't remember a time when it was peaceful in their lives. Peace is as odd to them as them playing in the middle of a war zone is to us.

Becoming? Honey, he's been at that extreme for the past two years I've known him. In the world of Neocons, they are right and everyone opposed to them is wrong.

Confusion over reports of boys’ deaths
U.S. disputes that they died in attack, says blast was planned, no deaths

    The Associated Press
    Updated: 6:22 p.m. ET Feb 27, 2007
BAGHDAD, Iraq - State television reported Tuesday that 18 boys were killed when a car bomb exploded in a park in Ramadi, and Iraqi and international officials were quick to deplore the slaughter. But questions about key details of the report emerged just as quickly.

Iraqi police and state TV said the attack occurred Tuesday. Later, police said it happened Monday.

The confusion grew deeper following an announcement by U.S. forces that 30 civilians and one Iraqi soldier were injured by flying debris Tuesday when troops intentionally detonated 15 bags of explosives found in Ramadi.

Some of the wounded were treated at a U.S. aid station, and others were flown to a military hospital for treatment, the statement said. None of the injuries was life-threatening, it added.

The news first broke after nightfall when it is too dangerous for local journalists to check the reports independently in Ramadi, a Sunni insurgent stronghold 70 miles west of Baghdad. Western reporters normally tour the area only as part of military patrols. Much of Ramadi is under effective insurgent control, and even the police have difficulty establishing the facts in bombings and assassinations.

No sir, but those that have hijacked the Muslim faith and kill innocent children in it's name need to be dealt with. The leaders of Islam need to take their religion back, and since they seem unwilling to do so, what choice do people have except to accept what Islam has become?

If Muslim leaders won't fight for Islam, then can't we assume that have surrendered it to the extremists? The leaders of Islam should be the ones on the front lines of this war, fighting to reclaim their beliefs from the jaws of the psychos that have stolen it. The fact is, they aren't. There is no movement by people of the Muslim faith to stop the extremists, so what else can one assume?

The Muslim faith may have once been a peaceful religion (which is very debatable), but over the last 30 years it has been transforming into anything but a religion of peace, and their followers as well as their leaders have done almost nothing to stop this transformation.

What is anyone supposed to think?

Yes, well saying Christianity and Catholicism were once peaceful religions is debatable as well. Why do people pick so much on Islam anyway? Don't they realize that the major world religions are ALL guilty of having blood on their hands? (By major world religions I mean Christianity, Catholicism, and Islam. I'm not including any eastern religions, because as far as I know they are not guilty of those same acts.)

    Are you kidding me?

Every single day innocent people are being murdered in the name of Islam, not in the name of any other religion. I can go back to posting "This day in Islamic Jihadist history" if you need a refresher course on the violence that is being committed.

Uhhh, do you know what people do in the name of Christianity? For instance, they try to blow up abortion offices all in the name of their religion and belief.

There are NUMEROUS groups of people with different beliefs that are violent and kill people.

Plus, once again, not every Muslim is out there to kill me. Plenty aren't. It's just a few bad apples ruin the whole bushel.

I can count on my right hand how many abortion clinics have been targeted. The perpetrators are sought and punished.

There are NUMEROUS groups of people with different beliefs that are violent and kill people.

99.99 % of violence vs. innocent civilians around the world is done
by extremist Muslims. There at war with dozens of others in dozens of countries.

The plenty that aren't, aren't saying anything! They don't condemn the few bad apples. Why are they silent?

You said it, now you need to prove it. Provide me with a legitimate source for this statistic.
