Grandsun Sg2000 Home Spa A Scam

This MLM based company sells ozone emitting devices and misleads consumers into believing that ozone is beneficial to their health! The device they sell is not approved for sale in Canada and many parts of the USA including California, but yet they still manage to privately import these machines in from Taiwan. They claim they were "awarded" CSA safety compliance standard certificates, but Health Canada and the CSA were not able to locate this device in their database.
Bottom line, BEWARE WHEN YOU SEE THE NAME GRANDSUN SG2000 SPA AT HOME or SHIANJI HOME SPA.
Long term use of the device will result in permanent lung damage. They do not stand behind their product, and you will not be able to get a refund afterwards!

Re: Grandsun Sg2000 Home Spa A Scam

I have used the Grandsun Sg 2000 for 2 years, seeing many great benefits in my health and well being.
I have 3 crushed vertebra, rotator cuff problems, high cholesterol, asthma, cold hands and feet and I smoke. Using the spa just 1- 2 times per week, I have gone from being able to stand on cement for a maximum of 2 hours to doing 10 day/12hr a day trade shows without even needing a single pain killer. My shoulder pain and lack of hand control is totally gone, my cholesterol is normal after misbehaving very very badly over Christmas in the diet area. I was recently tested for lung capacity and asthma. In spite of being a smoker, my lung capacity is average for my age and I show no signs of asthma. The technician said I had never had asthma, my doctor knows different. Not having back, shoulder or arthritis pain anymore is a godsend, having constantly warm hands and feet is a dream come true. I can now walk around in bare feet and light clothing for the first time in my life without freezing. I enjoyed not having to wear sweaters on even warm days for the past 2 summers. I simply would not ever give my spa up. 2 weeks without using the spa, the pain and stiffness returns.

Yes it is MLM, but they never bug you, you have to get a hold of them. They have a great product that really works so they let it do the marketing for them. Some of the best products come to us first as MLM, later we see them on store shelves.

Ozone - please read about oxygen therapies - most everywhere but North America, ozone and oxygen therapies are legally used with great benefit. Anything can be hazardous to health even water, if not used responsibly. The SG 2000 meets the German FDA standards of 0.05 ppm, it must be understood that the ozone is pumped through a bio-ceramic mat which bubbles the ozone through the bath water. The ozone separates into O2 (Oxygen) & O1(Negative Ions). The air above your bath water is wonderfully refreshing as a result.
That fresh smell after a thunderstorm, that is ozone produced by lightening.

The SG 2000 is CSA approved (super aroma hydrotherapy) as well as being approved by many other regulatory authorities around the world such as CE, CCC, TNV etc. The approval is held in the name of the parent company Lian Fong Enterprise Company and can be viewed at grandsun.com/tw as can all other certifcations.

Full refund is available for all unused units.

Every home should have the SG 2000 and we should all be using it. Taking a bath consistently than rather suffering in silence or taking hands full of pills that over time will empty your wallet and possibly endanger your health further to get the same results, would seem a more practical solution. Even your bath water that has had all of the chemicals and toxins neutralized by the ozone bubbles is better for you.

I have seen people suffering from excruciating fibromyalgia, gout and arthritis get noticeable immediate relief their medications were't providing while having a bath. The nice massage you get is a total bonus.

I was so impressed with my personal results, I now market the SG 2000 with a partner and am very happy to be able to provide people with the opportunity to try it out for them selves. Had I not seen the spa, I know my quality of life would have continued to deteriorate rather than improve. I'll be honest, I really enjoy the bath itself(the jacuzzi or hot tub sensation) and the feeling better. I am pleased that I have the opportunity to offer others a self care choice that works and is affordable as well as enjoyable.

    Hi,

I am not sure how these people can succeed in selling that kind of scam. How can they persuade people to buy it. If I can do the same I would have been rich long ago!!

Carstrader, have you ever used the spa? I don't think so or you would know it's not a scam. Again I was able to do a 4 day trade show this weekend all Thanks to the Grandsun SG 2000. Are you mean enough not to want to have people have less pain? The only way it can't help you is if you don't use it.

If this product is as good as you claim, why does WCB, Health Canada or the Canadian Medical Association NOT endorse it?

Re: Grandsun Sg2000 Home Spa A Scam

Hi homespaedmonton, can you clarify your website grandsun.com/tw ??
Was about to look into the website as you indicated but it is a non-existent website.

While your personal testimonial is appreciated, it is also biased as you are selling the product. You do have to let pure customers speak for themselves if you want to use the "testimonial" method of selling.

You must also know that your statements are pretty sweeping, "Yes, it is MLM, but they never bug you" etc... I honestly don't ink you can speak for all the agents or sales people in your country, let alone the whole world.

Using emotional blackmail methods like, " are you mean enough... " is also not the most professional approach to clarifying your stand.

I am technically not against the equipment itself, but more of the way you are responding to the arguments. Makes a potential customer feel even more uncertain, don't you think?

Most importantly, unlike carstrader007 or possibly FortuneCookie, I have used the Spa in my home and i still have it in my bathroom. Agreed, it is enjoyable and relaxing, but my main concern is if there are any health risks attached to long term usage and also environmental damage.

Looking forward to your certifications and if you can, countries which the HomeSpa is approved and endorsed for longterm use.

Re: Grandsun Sg2000 Home Spa A Scam

Thank You for your comments, they truly are appreciated.

I believe the website mentioned was http://www.grandsun.com.tw/ I edit copied the address from the website just now so hope that helps.
    Our website is http://homespaedmonton.com
Other websites that are well researched are as follows:

    http://www.homespaspecialist.com/
    http://www.everydayhomespa.com
    http://www.uniquespa.com.sg/
    http://finelifehealth.net

The Spa is now marketed in 23 countries
    Certifications: see http://www.ctaig.com/en_rewards.htm
In addition the spa now has a certification similar to the Canadian/USA CSA in Australia.

We are in the process of updating our website and will be posting user testimonials, you are correct, they are more powerful than my story.

With respect to the MLM comments you are correct, I should only speak for myself.

My apologies for what appeared to you as emotional blackmail, for me it was anger and you are correct it was not professional

I am biased and passionate about ensuring that what are in my experience blatant untruths, not be left unchallenged. I have seen many individuals benefit from the spa, some to the degree that their doctors have written prescriptions for the spa. I feel it is only responsible to ensure that the positive be on record also. You are correct, a less emotional response would have been more appropriate.

With respect to the the long term use,
Ultrasound is used in many medical facilities today and has been found to be very safe.
Ozone is completely safe and effective when occurring within FDA and OSHA standards of 0.05 ppm (parts per million). In healthy and clean outdoor environments, ozone occurs between 0.02 ppm and 0.05 ppm. The spa operates at 0.03 - 0.05 ppm. Work Safe B.C. allows for heavy work in levels of 0.05 ppm. for 8 hours. A typical bath is 10 to 15 minutes in duration, based on the forgoing it would be safe to be in the spa 8+ hours a day, every day and still be very safe on an ongoing basis.

With repect to environmental damage, In healthy clean environments, ozone occurs between 0.02 ppm and 0.05 ppm. A local business person who is passionate about our planet with credentials as an environmental engineer. He is recognized for his leadership in ensuring truth in green advertzing. He brought to our attention how green the spa is and suggests that as part of our marketing we should be promoting that aspect. His comments were unsolicited, which makes them even more powerful.

Countries the spa is marketed in to my knowledge are Canada. USA, Thailand, Malaysia, Mainland China, Taiwan, Signapore, Brunei, England, Germany, Australia, Sri Lanka, Central Africa - Malawi,Dubai, South Africa, France, Japan, Phillipines,Indonesia, India, Lebanon

Thank you for being a concerned consumer and taking me to task. This product desrves better from me as it has given me so much in the area of health and wellness.

Deb, when you say ''The ozone separates into O2 (Oxygen) & O1(Negative Ions).''.....this really shows that you are ignorant and clueless when it comes to chemistry. O1 does not exist! The closest you can find to a single atom of oxygen is O(2-) which is a salt form and is NOT a byproduct of ozone.
O3 reacts with human cells. It harms and oxidizes human cells by transferring this oxygen atom to the skin or lungs. This transfer of a single atom of oxygen affects how the membrane/protein functions on a cellular level. This transfer of ATOMIC oxygen (destructive) is completely different than inhaling MOLECULAR oxygen (BENEFICIAL). It then releases oxygen as a byproduct. This notion of having negative anions in air is not reliable chemistry or science at all.

    Hi Yunfei,

I've disregarded this whole homespa drama for several years now because the hype for this thing has gone down in recent years, but the way that these uneducated salespeople are advertising this machine is still bothering me.
Please refer to this Health Canada webpage concerning typical ozone generators:
    http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/cps-spc/pubs/cons/ozone-eng.php

These instruments are not recommended for use in residential settings. Ozone is used to purify water industrially, but government regulations require that these ozone facilities are settled far away from the public. Ozone generators are no longer sold anywhere in Canada and many parts of the USA as per Health Canada, USA EPA and the CSA.

Effects of this instrument is not immediate, but gradual (over the years or long term use). So from long term exposure to ozone, you may experience light-headedness, irritation to the throat and lungs (coughing) and nausea when it becomes severe enough.

    Good luck.

this is a pretty horrid site - keeps logging me out!

Anyways, to add to the discussion on this machine and the concerns about ozone, see the link

Just be a responsible user - that's all anyone can hope for. Everything can be potentially harmful, just don't be stupid and overdo things.

The link you posted refers to machines meant for industrial use and are strictly regulated for that purpose. It is a warning to the public to not purchase what is not appropriate for their home settings. Just because a product is labelled as 'industrial grade' does not mean it is appropriate for personal consumption. Machines are always purpose built so a machine that is designed for personal use would have to comply with safety regulations stipulated by your country's standards boards. I am sure these are publicly available and it is every consumer's responsibility to check and be informed. No one can put a gun to anyone's head to purchase or use.
