New Book about $60 Million Internet Fraud

There is a new novel out written by a guy who worked for one of the largest frauds on the internet. Regular scamwatchers will remember the Tri-West Investment Club out of PUerto Vallarta Mexico. One night the ringleader was arrested at the airport there with five million bucks on him and things went downhill. I have just finished reading this and cant believe what a lifestyle these people lived. This author claims to not have known that his employer was scamming people, you decide. I think its a hell of a read, check out www.thewantednovel.com and get your eyes opened.

A quote from the author himself:

"There are several reasons why I wrote this story as a work of fiction."

It's probably an interesting read, but again, by the author's own words, it's not a detailed, factual account.

Actually the book is crammed full of details but i have read in interviews that he changed the names of everybody, but the dates and so on are all real. as for the amount of money, he has also said he believes it to be at least double that figure but $60 million is the government's official figure, he says they probably just didn't find it all

Would you mind posting the links to the interviews you referred to? I did a search and didn't find any.

    Thanks,

I agree; fair read, but it's not an interview. It appears to have been written by the author himself either as a synopsis, or it's an excerpt. The writing style is almost frenetic and disjointed, like it was merely pulled together in a matter of a few minutes. It's a shame he chose to make the story fictional, given that all of the "players" are known anyway.

Interviews with a member of the legitimate print media lend much more credence to the work of an author in my opinion. Here on Scam.com we see way too much of people attempting to hustle whatever product or program, so anything tends to be looked at under a microscope.
