Re: Another question for completing offers,

Nope, but I wonder since you are interested in cancelling them why you picked CH where you need to buy like $100 in movies to fulfill your obligation. Even if you sell the movies there would still be cheaper options. Just saying...

There is a way to cancel Columbia House without having to fulfill the purchase requirements (that is basically buying a required amount of movies, 4 or 5, at the retail cost of about 20.00 which gets you to $100).

There is a provision in their trial offer that if you are not completely satisfied with the offer, you can return the introductory shipment of movies to them and they will refund the initial cost and cancel your account.

I know someone who did this and still retained the credit for completing the offer on an NT site.

If you want to return it, I think you have to do all of this within 14 days of getting the initial shipment. So call them the day you get the box, indicate to them you wish to cancel, sit through the script where they try to convince you to stay, then insist. I do not know if they give you an RMA number, but as long as you ship it back to them with some kind of delivery confirmation, you should be fine....

I hope this helps - unless you really like movies, that offer isn't the best one for a $100 gift card.

Re: Another question for completing offers,

I just sent one back RTS. It took them awhile, maybe because of the holidays, but everything worked out. But that was for an NT site, YF I don't know. They used to revoke credit, not sure anymore. But just ignore my previous post anyway.
