    Bye Bye, 109th Congress

On the last day of the legislative year, a Republican spoke the truth:

“The breakdown of regular order this cycle — indeed the failure to get our bills done — should be squarely placed at the feet of the departing Senate majority leader who failed to schedule floor time for the consideration of appropriations bills,” Representative Jerry Lewis, Republican of California and the departing chairman of the Appropriations Committee, said in an unusual public attack on a fellow Republican.
The Republican legislature failed to pass 9 of the 11 spending bills ($430 Billion) that fund the government, leaving responsible governance to the Democrats next year.

Guess we will find out if the incoming gang can perform miracles as claimed. :D
One would think that all the pestilence and ills of humanity could be wiped
out if we could just get the dems back in.
    Its "show time".
(I would actually like to be pleasantly surprised)

It's only fitting that the worst president in my lifetime should have the worst Congress. This 109th Congress was an American disgrace.

Yes, they were! Now its time for the miracle workers to step up and do their
thing. Maybe someone will have a good idea and actually do it and not harm
    our country in the process.
    We can only hope!

Good point. This entire last six years has been a blemish on America and an injustice to all Americans. Good riddance to the most counterproductive and incompetent Congress ever to darken the halls of that revered institution.
I just hope that the moronic monkey in the White House will let the new Congress do it's job without threatening everything they do with a veto.

I do agree with good-bye to the old congress.
But, let's just wait and see what the new congress wants to do before considering whether the president should sign their bills into law.

Sometimes, in my own opinion, a congress that "does its job" is not necessarily the best thing for our country. Sometimes it's better for congress to busy themselves with repealing certain laws as opposed to making them.

    Re: Bye Bye, 109th Congress

The stage is now set for the Dems to have their rubber-stamp government (provided a Democrat president is voted-in after the next election).
    God help us!!!

Seriously, I don't like it when any party has total legislative power. It's almost never a good thing.
