FTD says happy kwanzaa, happy hanukaa, happy holidays

What happened to that whole Christmas thing...you know, the religion that 70% of this country belongs to?

In the UK, more and more local authorities are renaming Christmas events "Winterval" or "Festival of Lights" and other made up terms. More and more employers are banning staff from putting up decorations, even Government ministers are sending cards with not a whiff of anything to do with Christmas, many schools will not put on nativity plays. Apparently, this is to "avoid offending minorities" (I think we know which one they're referring to, eh?) . Thing is, no one actually consulted these minorities, the people from these minorities enjoy Christmas a s much as anyone else. Its a holiday for everyone, whatever their religious beliefs. No ones offended by a nation celebrating a tradition that theyve been celebrating for hundreds of years, except in the fevered imagination of Left wing town hall bigots. Minorities are offended by the idea that some faceless pen pusher thinks theyll be offended by Christmas, and non-minorities are offended that their traditional events are being watered down, renamed, and even scrapped altogether. Its a load of old bo11ocks, but unfortunately, these small minded, petty, snivelling creeps infest all levels of local and national government, and that includes most of the Cabinet.

P.S. What the fork is "Kwanzaa"?!?!?

Christmas just too expensive. Was 800 bucks per capita last year.

My great uncle said it best," Merry (deleted) Christmas".

This is how liberals are...THEY decide what will offend people and then "protect" them from it in the form of political correctness. P.C. is killing your country, Europe, and is working it's way through the bowels of the U.S. Fortunately, we allow people to own firearms if they choose to, one reason why we do not see gangs of , ahem, "youths" burning stuff over here and then being apologized to!

Political correctness is how liberals control free speech...by preventing it, under threat of ostracizing. I have not ever met a Christian who cared whether or not there were hanukaa or kwanzaa or voodoo holidays, displays
or celebrations...ever. Why would they? But there is a small, filthy faction of the world who feel that they can, and should, dictate to the majority.

Islamic fanatics are at least honest about their agenda(though, of course, it isn't p.c. for US to say it out loud!). If you ask them, they will simply tell you, "yes, we want nothing more than to kill all the infidels". Liberals, on the other hand, do their dirty business under cover of darkness and guise of 'do-gooding'. " Well, surely that cross on that hill should offend SOMEONE so we want it taken down and we (the fvcking aclu) will sue you until you do so." To call them vermin is to insult the vermin of the world.

kwanzaa was invented by a violent black felon who went on to become chairman of the Department of Black Studies at California State University, a P.C. maneuver if ever there was one.. He was sent to prison in 1971, after he and some of his pals tortured two women with a soldering iron and a vise, among other things. That is how you can qualify for tenure in the U.S.

Sure, it may SEEM like a good idea. For a moron that thinks about themselves before others. Ban the use of the word "Christmas"? I say amen to that. Let's forget for a moment, that the main stream media and masses have totally taken the religion out of Christmas. We may as well call it Xmas. Rudolph, Xmas trees, snowmen, Santa Claus... these things have nothing to do with Christ. Or did you forget that Christians and Catholics celebrate a "supposed" day of Christ's birth on the 25th of December?

I say "supposed" day of birth because, in fact, there is no evidence that Jesus Christ was born on December 25th. The reason why people celebrate that day, is because the early Church established that day.

Sometimes, in our desire to preserve what we think is important, we end up excluding others. Remember, "The road to hell is paved with conservatives."

Just one of about a hundred prominently displayed Christmas items available at FTD:

Anyway, the right wing called, they said they're not doing the "War On Christmas" meme this year. Sorry.

Was it "liberal scum" who wanted the Da Vinci Code banned? How about Fahrenheit 451? Isn't it the christian conservative scum that wants to ban a womans right to choose? If you took the time to look you would find the conservative "scum" are the ones you read about in the papers and hear on TV wanting to ban this, or suppress that. Remember Prohibition?
It's the nature of the lowly conservative to shun change, to reject progress. The status quo is simply not good enough for America, we want better. Conservatives simply cannot provide this procession by nature. Conservatives are, by definition, unimaginative, unchanging, uncreative, obstinate.
So, please, write a book on all the things "these people" want banned. You might be surprised to see who "these people" actually are.

What the fvck are you gibbering about, idiot? The da vinci code? Bradbury? We are talking about ACTUAL banning, in this day and age. Prohibition?

You just said that you wanted to ban the word "Christmas". Just now. A second ago. Combine that with all the 'banning' you and your ilk bandy about concerning such things as certain phrases, words, specific actions (only if performed by conservatives), retail outlets if you don't like them, any display of anything that makes someone else happy...you know, just stuff that is none of your fvcking business. I guess Christians could make a fuss about other religions doing their thing...but, why would they? Who cares?
