    Cyber Junky, Inc

I am wondering how to get my money back from this scam. The bank says I have to get it back from the company. Has anyone written to get their money back and can you contact them online. The ad just included a mailing address and no e-mail address.

I would suggest going to the BBB, first. Then if your local TV station has a consumer help segment, email them and tell them of your situation. We have one in our city and they really seem to help alot of people with different problems.

I have seen this company advertising for ad writing and almost signed up for it! :( Can you tell me your negative experiences with this company?

Hi! This company named Type-at-home.com advertised a 30 day money back guarantee. I tried to get my money back as well. I emailed them and never heard back. Did you supposedly get a free web site as the advertisement stated you would?

I did not have a negative experience with them other than the fact that you cannot get in touch with them. I needed some help with the items that they gave me to do. I had no help. I joined another organization that is similar to this one and they gave me several phone numbers to call. That was really great. Also I was told that I would get a free website. I did get the website for about a week and a half and then it just disappeared. I have been on the phone forever now trying to find out where it went. It is with another company and I just happened to be able to do a google search and come up with a phone number for them. But like I said I have been on hold with them "as we speak" for almost an hour. I have been tempted to hang up but then I thought I would just have to call again and start all over.

    Re: Cyber Junky, Inc

I was also scammed by CyberJunky,Inc.'s 'Type at Home' scheme. I saw his Ad on Craiglist and paid $49.95 with the promise of being giving a list of keywords of which I was to 'write ads' for a multitude of Companies. NOT!
I just read in a different post to contact [email protected] an attempt to get a refund there. If I'm unable to do so; I'd be in for a class action lawsuit against this fraud. Also contacting the BBB... Ugh, I guess I learn my lesson with online opportunities which sound to good to be true.

I do not like this opportunity either. Cyber Junk Inc says on their website DataEntryMadeEasy.com that they have a guarantee for refund, and I also thought at first that there was no way to access it, but after looking at the receipt that I cut and pasted off the website into MSWord it has an e-mail in it!

Guess that stresses the importance of keeping a receipt! The e-mail was:

The address doesn't have a zip on it and I used USPS to look it up. I looked up their zip code and submitted a request to their local BBB in CA to request a report on them through bbb.com in their area. Their address was listed as Cyber Junky, Inc. 1042 N. El Camino Real B358, Encinitas, California 92024, USA.

Just in general about scams --- The FTC has some guidelines on how to respond to fraud online at http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/invest/homewrk.htm or you can download it in PDF http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/invest/homewrk.pdf online.

If you feel you were scammed by CyberJunky Inc, you can try making a formal complaint to the Office of Victims' Services to see if the California Attorney General can assist at http://ag.ca.gov/victimservices/contact.php online. Or you could call/write
Office of Victims Services, California Attorney General's Office, P.O. Box 944255 Sacramento, CA 94244-2550 Phone Toll-free: 877-433-9069.

    Re: Cyber Junky, Inc

Most up to date support e-mail is this: [email protected]

I had to do a lot of snooping to get there, the address is nowhere on the site.

Let me know if you actually get your money back. I asked how to request a refund and (after the first support ticket mysteriously dissappeared) they did, in fact, answer. Now I've actually requested my money back, we'll see what happens...

If you paid for the registration fee online using a Visa or MasterCard the bank is only giving you 1/2 of the information... YES you MUST try to get the money back from the company. Send them a letter requesting a refund via return receipt. Once you get the receipt back give them around 10 days to comply or contact you. IF THEY DON'T. Prompty write a letter to your bank or credit card company explaining that you did not receive the service or product you paid for. INCLUDE copies of your letter and a COPY of the verification that the letter was received by the company in question.

VISA and MASTERCARD both come with consumer free liability for fraudlent items, registration fees may fall under a different catagory, however, if you have accurately followed through with the companies 'MONEY BACK GURANTEE" and still have not gotten your money back, used a VISA/MasterCard to pay for it, the BANK WILL help you get your money back!

WARNING: YOU ONLY HAVE AROUND 90 DAYS TO DISPUTE A CHARGE ON YOUR CREDIT/DEBIT CARD FROM THE DATE IT APPEARS ON YOUR STATEMENT.

    Re: Cyber Junky, Inc

Hi guys. I just read their slick ad, and even though my head said there is no way this could be legit, I was tempted to gamble the $49.99 to check it out. However, I always Google stuff first to get info on it, and that landed me here.

Anyway, after reading the posts here, I have returned to my senses and decided not to do this. However, I'd be interested to know (since it's not explained by anybody here) exactly why you guys wanted your money back. What exactly did they send you? Was it completely unusable? Was there no way to make money with this?

    Thanks!

    Hi, everbody,

In fact, I HAVE FOUND a way to contact Cyber Junky by email: on the page,
http://www.blpurl.com/h60 you see some 'testimonials' on the left side. Click on "more".
You are sent on a page indicating that you can add a "testimonial".
If you click on the link, you arrive to another page, with a TICKET script and the possibility to write a message to the staff.
I received an autoresponder reply indicating that I'll be contacted in 24 hours.
I cross my fingers, hoping that I'll get my refund.
    Cheers

Tried some of the ways to contact this grifter that was stated above. I got a emile off to ([email protected]). These people are good at taking advantage the human tendency to want make honest money. We now have learned that it isn't honest money they are making. A fifty dollar lesson well learned.

Please answer if you know one.

    Thanks!!!
