    What are Your Favorite Movies?

What are your favorite movies that you can watch over and over again (like everytime they come on television) and why?

    Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Butterfly Effect - reminds me not to regret my decisions in the past
    City of Angels - tearjerker
The Crow (original with Brandon Lee) Killer soundtrack
The Doors - need I say why
Dawn of the Dead - for some reason always sucks me in
Forest Gump - no explanation needed
    Signs
    Ghost
Silence of the Lambs - Clariiiice
    Hannible
    Office Space - too funny
    American History X

There are others but I can't think of them all now.

Ohh and please nobody say The Matrix movies - I absoultuely despise them

I've tried to watch the first one at least 6 times and never finished it, I was forced to watch the others at the theatre.

Re: What are Your Favorite Movies?

I like the LOTR flip movie, BiR; have you seen the Two Towers "trailer" on Weebls Stuff?
    Special Edition
Any Hudson Hawk fans here? I've never understood the bad press it got; I think it's even funnier than Die Hard. How about Undercover Blues, with Dennis Quaid
and Kat Turner? (The scene with Muerte in the oyster bar is a classic, on a par with the Pie Fight in The Great Race)
I could do a whole long (dull) post just on the forgotten or underappreciated films I like, but I won't. I don't believe there are all that many people here
with even a mild interest in Frank Zappa's 200 Motels .
I'll just mention The Magic Christian (by Terry Southern, who also scripted Dr Strangelove), Hook (Dustin Hoffman as Cap'n Hook- brilliant), and, oh ... ah!
    Todd Browning's Dracula.

The langoliers was a freaky freaky crazy movie. I like it!

And Bir, you should add that flip film to the new Internet Culture thread. That is one I have seen used heaps by MMOers. Very cool!

Oh yeah, it certainly takes a special type of someone to put strangeland as their top movie ;)

I put strangeland in with movies like The Cell, and Silence of the Lambs... all equally different of course, but The Cell and strangeland both tug at your "OMG you can't be serious .....ewwwwww..." emotions.

True. Even though I wouldn't go around doing those particular things to people, I do agree with many points of Captain Howdy's philosphy. :D

    Excellent soundtrack, too.
