Recoganize Christ through verse from Genisis

And he dreamed that there was a ladder set up on the earth, and its stop reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. (Gen 28:12)

According to the footnote of Recovery Version of Bible, Jacobís dream is a most crucial point in this book, which unveils the most crucial matter in the revelation of God. There is no doubt that God desires to have a house on earth, which is good for Godís building. Within Jacobís dream, the stone, the pillar, the hose of God, and the oil are outstanding items. Building the Godís House is constituted with Christ, which is the church today and will consummate in the New Jerusalem as the eternal dwelling place of God and His redeemed elect. Obviously, this dream contains a lot of information. The most important one is that the house of God is constituted of God and man mingled with together as one.

nd God came to Laban the Aramaean in a dream of the night and said to him, Be careful that you do not speak to Jacob either good or bad. (Gen: 31:24)

:rryumy:As we know, God is the crucial person in this chapter, who is invisible and transforming. On the other side, God was sovereignly preparing the environment for Jacobís transformation(Rom. 8:28-29).
Jacob was under the secret care of Christ as the Angel of God, for Christ would eventually be born of Jacobís descendant Marry. This is the secrete which indicates Godís desire. As mentioned above, the dream is talked in several parts of Genesis. I feel this are so many predictions and parables for different dreams. In a nutshell, God is the one we are always trying to pursuing and following.

And Esau ran to meet him and embraced him and fell on his neck and kissed him, and they wept. (33:4)

:spin2: I love the word ďkissĒ when I was in life journey. According to the footnote, all Jacobís fears were products of his own worrying, and all he had done in exercising his natural skill and ability to save himself was in vain. It is the marvelous acts from God. This ďkissĒ shows that there is no need to fear what was behind him or what was ahead of him. The only thing for him is to rest in God and in His all-sufficient care. By the way, although I feel like being hard to insist on working one thing, I still trust His power that can guide us to move forwards to His way.

Re: Recoganize Christ through verse from Genisis

And God said to Jacob, Rise up, go up to Bethel, and dwell there; and make an altar there to the God who appeared to you when you fled from your brother Esau. (35:1)

Bethel is a great seed in the Bible, a seed of the house of God. At the same time, Bethel signifies our passing through the individual Christian life and going up to the corporate church life for the building up of Godís eternal dwelling place, which stands for the church today and the New Jerusalem in eternity. Godís purpose according to His heartís desire is to have Bethel, for it will be enlarged to consummate in the New Jerusalem, the eternal tabernacle of God, in which God Himself and the Lamb will be the temple. We deeply realize how importance of taking Christ as our dwelling place, that we are the church today, which is the main solution to build up the New Jerusalem and accomplish Godís purpose.
