He got you, Lexx, it's BRILLIANT!

Looks like the cartoonist who used to do 'doonesbury'...

Any creationists out there, go take a look now - the sentiment expressed may be important to you as you age / become infirm!

As long as you can see the small changes, then you must concede the point that many small changes eventually add up to large changes.

So many creationists deny this ever so basic logical step which leads to the creation of all of the species that are found on planet earth.

Advanced in understanding? I've advanced in the way that many creationists only oppose evolution because they don't understand it and furthermore they don't understand it because they don't make the effort to understand it.

No, everyone saw that I was making a serious comment in a thread about a comic. There was no need to support me, because what I said was simply true. No one here thought it necessary to argue. (shame..arguments are fun when they are between two intelligent people. Thats why I come to this section of the forums. I get intelligent conversation. Oh how I would like to see you actually participate in one of those LOL)

BTW, you are flaming and going off topic in what is otherwise a good thread...started by a moderator, and no doubt watched by that moderator. If that moderator was to now looking at your recent posts, he would easily see that you ahve polluted numerous posts with your trash flaming and off-topic ness.

    Not really...

I see that my son has grown since he was born. Do I then think that he will continue to grow until death???

Of course he will continue to grow until death, we all do so why would he be any exception?

i have to admit i was already biased by your former posts on evolution!!hehe!!that being said i have revisited the cartoon and only see it as an unrealistic mental excersize in "position" hunting!?(carrot dangling!?)hehe!!because actually,if read without prejudice is just JIBBERISH!?but if anyone comes away with "THEIR" point PROVED by this excersize in inuendo i would gladly be willing to refute their assumption.hehe!!
but as to the brilliant remarks already tossed about,i can only assume it refers to the COLD SARCASM of the AUTHORITY figure who obviously enjoys his ignorance but finds it unentertaining to have to deal with unwilling patients!?see!!i can read it without predjudice just like anybody else!?hehe!!just askin....

Bollocks, there's no jibberish there. The doctor is pointing out that TB has evolved since it was discovered, something which there is proof for, and something that many bugs and viruses do. It's a reason why the Ebola virus isn't as deadly now as it once was, it has evolved to be straighter (whereas before it was more like a hook) so it's slower and less efficient at taking over cells, therefore allowing it's host to live longer, which is beneficial for the virus. There are many examples of viruses evolving to overcome medicine.

what the cartoon is saying is if you cant beat em join me!?implying impotence to religious belief!?while viruses change their character there is no proof it is due to self intelligence!and it has been explained that the very medicines used to fight diseases actually help in the increase of new strains(chance mutations or drug related mutations) by eliminating the weaker from amoung the herd!?actually if i read the cartoon again i think it is/was meant as a play on the term intelligent design.attributing it TO science!?hehe!!just askin....
