    Re: Work for MultiInsuranceService

the webpage was created 7-12-2011, so, they have no history.

Multi Insurance Service, Inc. has its beginning started in 1995 as a corporate client-oriented insurance corporation. But rapid growth of inner potential and changes in the market situation had the main direction inclined towards other areas such as private sector and small business, the corporate division being still very active.

In 2005 a significant reorganization has taken place when Multi Insurance Service, Inc. became a part of a large financial holding IBG. This has strengthened the corporation’s positions on the market being backed up by the large financial potential of the IBG holding.

    looks like crap to me.

where are they? if i want to stop in to an office, phone or send mail, where? i can't find any info on this "company."

whatever he wants you to do, don't.

Apparantly, they've shut down that site... or simply changed the name and domain...

Inc. means incorporated, which means they have filed proper papers with their state government. what state is that? you found another that has no address?

    Re: Work for MultiInsuranceService

I've searched the net about it, and curiously, all I find is reports of people that immediately identified that as false (like people that trace the site to a location in Russia, or someone who says that has called the "agency", only to hear that no one there knows that "Mr B" from emails, or that "company"...), so they don't tell what, exactly, do these guys want... They're fake, for sure... but what they want to gain from it, and how it hurts the people that are scammed...? Does anyone know?

they want to hire you to manage their finances from your home. it's silly. but if somebody falls for it, they will be told that special computer equipment and software is needed. they will send you a check with instructions to deposit it in your account, then draw cash and send it by western union to the person/company that will send you the software/hardware.

the scammer picks up the western union cash days or weeks before your bank tells you the check was no good. you have to pay your bank all the missing money and they might close your account and place you on a blacklist.

alternatively, they might have you print the fake checks and send them to all the other people being scammed.

they don't spend any money so whatever they can trick people into sending is pure profit. western union agents don't need identification from the people picking up the money because they know you wouldn't be so stupid to send money to a stranger in nigeria or russia. (no matter what you write on the form, the money can be picked up anywhere, from any agent)

anybody, anywhere, can register a webpage, for a few dollars and pretend to be anybody, pretend to be any business. it's automated, nothing is checked. mickey mouse, with address in disneyland, can register.

    any more questions?

No, apparently not. So they send a check, huh...? A fake one, no way to trace it... That's the most idiotic part of all. Who would use money from a check before it has been cleared as good one, and credited on your account...?

    ...Sheesh... Incredible.

    Thank you.

it is a check on a good account, but the person that made the check doesn't own the account. it takes some time for the victim company to notice they are missing money and attempt to recover and prosecute the person responsible, in this case, would be you.

    .
Because the account number is valid but your bank doesn't realize that the check was not printed by the owner of the account. You bank thinks the check is good and deposits the money into your account, then, days or weeks later the real owner of the account reports the check as fake and your bank reverses the transaction.

"Cleared" is NOT the same as "Funds Available" but most people who cash checks don't know the difference.

    Re: Work for MultiInsuranceService

there is a federal law that requires banks not to delay your money more than a short time. the bank just presumes there is no fraud. the time for a check to be changed back to you may be weeks, months or years. if you have go to court, you can only say, you did it because some strange person sent you an email?

don't ever cash or deposit a check and send money on by western union or moneygram, or any other way to transfer money. if somebody else was supposed to get the money, the sender would have sent it to that somebody, not you.

I would like to sugest that, if possible, there's an adding to the title of this topc, with the name that this "company" is now using ("Just Clever Insurance"). Just to better alert anyone who might now be targeted by these people.
