    Henry's crime

There's this relatively new Keanu Reeves movie called Henry's Crime. A character in it starts out doing a Korean tupperware MLM. He even tries to recruit Keanu, whose character is a bit of a dullard. But the funny part is that when the guy pitches him, the first thing Keanu says is "Is that one of those pyramid schemes?" Then the guy starts stammering and coming up with excuses. Later in the movie, they meetup with the guy who is now down on his luck, having quit the MLM and admitting he now has a garage full of useless Korean plastic!

If that's true, then it's pretty hilarious.

It would seem that Hollywood was using MLM to paint the picture of failure due to scheming, since many of us know at least one person who was either a pain in the a$$ with their solicitations, or just weird and creepy in how they try and turn every social interaction into a segue for their MLM pitch.

Many who watch the movie would find it pretty funny that the person who was annoying with their "sure thing" ended up with a bunch of useless crap.

The funniest part of it is that Keanu Reeves, despite his plethora of movies, is still widely regarded as a dopey actor, reminiscent of his role as Bill in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. And he was type cast in this role to play a dullard. But even as such, he was still able to identify a pyramid scheme 2 seconds after hearing about it.
