MLM scam, most likely ... their website is cheesy ...
They send out "job" postings all over the internet ( Google their listed phone number ), but at the same time, realy do not say what exactly one will do once "hired"

    Probably just a start up

From the look of their blog and talking with a friend who went and interviewed with them I don't think it is a scam. I think it is something potentially more dangerous, a start up company

Hey tylerd7, did your friend say how the interview went or what impression they got of the company? I got an e-mail from them and they want me to come in for an interview, too. I just feel kind of weird about the company. There's a lot of big talk on their website and from looking at their photos, no one in the company is a day over 27.

    Re: New Rev Group

New Rev group is apparently a B2B (Business to Business) company with about 15 employees at the SLC office. They also have at least 2 other offices in Cali. They do cold approaches to businesses offering to sign them up with a company called Quill (a subsidiary of Staples). The job is 100% commission based selling paper and office supplies. You get something like 25% of what you sell, so paperclips won't get you very much money. You can check out Quill.com and see their website, apparently they are one of the leading wholesale office supply companies. IF your friend makes it through the first interview they will ask him to go on a full day of unpaid selling to see what the job is about.

Looks like New Rev Group is affiliated with Cydcor. Google "cydcor" and you'll learn everything you need to know.

The long story short: Cydcor describes itself as a face to face sales, multi-level marketing company. What that really translates to is: a door-to-door solicitation pyramid scheme.

In other words, they'll have you scouring office buildings going door to door selling some type of unsophisticated commodity product (such as paper, high speed internet, long distance). It will be 100% commission. If you do well, they'll want you to be a manager and have people under you. If you do well as manager, they'll want you to open your own Cydcor office (such as The New Rev Group).

All in all, it's a legit business, not a scam, but more or less a pyramid scheme. It might be right for some people. Remember, commodity products are sold based on price. So, if you can sell something cheaper than the competition, it may be great. However, if you're selling something more expensive than the competition, it will be hell.

they can also be seen as a "r*****ing door" company. cydcor/new rev group has an employee turnover rate near 99%. the real scam is that they get people to stay with them long enough to bring in money before they migrate to a new area. they get one sales team together to make enough money before one group leaves and another begins. i interviewed at NRG, and nobody on their facebook page even works there anymore! even if somebody has what it takes to reach management for this company, the odds of them making it are still realistically around 1-5%.

    Re: New Rev Group

The company is 50% multi-level marketing, and 50% pyramid scheme. Commission and bonuses are given based on performance (MLM), but the only way to rise past a certain point in the company is by building a team (recruiting new people: a defining trait of pyramid scheme businesses). Yes, it is a sub-company of Cydcor and thus follows the ever-popular DSMax formula: the 5 and 8, morning atmosphere, ect. Very positive people, great place to work, but 100% based on commissions and self-sufficiency (driving to territories, paying all your expenses, ect.). If you love it and can make it work, great...if you cannot, don't get sucked in (the DSMax model will try to do this) and know when to leave.

Cydcor is just one tentacle of the global direct sales cult known to some as Devilcorp. If you go to thedevilcorp.wordpress.com you will find a plethora of links to news reports, government rulings, lawsuits and video footage showing how these people do business.
