    Perfect Mart

Strange URL for a retailer. I found them while using Google Shopping. They are an offshore company:

    Re: Perfect Mart

Just another fake website pretending to sell cheap electronics. The payment options say it all: Western Union, moneygram, bank transfer and other anonymous payment options.

You send the money to the scammer's fake name, he picks it up, sends you an email saying your item is stuck at customs, demands you send more cash to him and he never sends anything as he has no electronics to send.

No street address or phone number listed anywhere. The only way to contact them is with email, email they can easily block and ignore you.

There are thousands of sites just like that one, all with the same intent, get you to send cash for non-existant goods.

Legit selling sites do not accept Western Union or moneygram. Legits sites list their street address (no post office boxes) and a phone number that someone answers (no machine picking up)

Only about 5% of their merchandise is crazy cheap.I sent an email asking for a phone number. They sent me a fax number. Then this email

    Dear customer ,
Thank you for taking time to e-mail us !

Our phone number is also a fax number and it is possible that if the line is busy or you are not calling during working schedule you may hear a fax tone. We are an offshore company and we do not have a warehouse where we keep the products we have for sale, we are an on-line store and we collaborate with several companies. The products will be delivered to you depending on the available stock pile our available from our suppliers. Our site is directly connected to our distributors' database and the nearest warehouse to your place is automatically chosen and your shipping fee is calculated.

Address: 1211 N. Orange St., Wilmington, Delaware

    Sincerely,

That is a nice stock email you received there. Probably if you send them an email from a another account asking for a phone number you will receive the exact same cut-n-paste email.

If you check out google map, the address of:
1211 N. Orange St., Wilmington, Delaware
Is a parking garage. While on the subject of the address, have you ever seen a legit company that doesn't know or doesn't use its postal code?

The prices don't have to be super cheap for the site to be fake, the payment options and how the site is set up is what makes it fake.

There is this from the who-is:

    Technical Contact:
    ben potter Ben@host2x.com
    Host2x
    76 argyle gardens upminster
    essex
    LO RM14 3ex
    GB
    Phone: +44.7595994120 (voice) +44.7595994120 (fax)

    Record last updated on 07-Nov-2009.
    Record expires on 11-Feb-2011.
    Record created on 11-Feb-2009.
That phone number starting with +44-75 is a United Kingdom redirect cell phone number that is forwarded to anywhere in the world.

A reverse address search via Whitepages gives,
    0 Results
    and the USPS gives,
The address you provided is not recognized by the US Postal Service as an address we serve. Mail sent to this address may be returned.

Thank you for the additional responses. I haven't been scammed by them myself.

So how do we report this site and to whom?
