    RST Organisation

    Hi everyone,

I just had an interview yesterday for RST Organisation or RST Organistation. That was at this address: RST Organistation Limited | 135A New Street | King Edward House | 6th Floor | B2 4QJ | 0121 6313 659. Their ad was everywhere on the web and I'm not confident as they don't have website and using the email Admin@rstorg.co.uk.
Does someone know them? First interview went well, now the second interview is one afternoon on the field from 12:30 to 20:30. It sounds strange as the "boss" didn't mention salary, hours, etc.
    Any suggestion??

    Thanks for your help :)

Usually that means that job is in telemarketing, direct sales or recruitment where you work a lot and paid only in commissions.

You'd be going door-to-door selling overpriced shoddy office supplies/toys/kitchen utensils.
You won't be paid for your time on this "field interview" - you won't even get lunch or carfare.

Don't call to cancel, just don't show up.

Ignore any calls or e-mails from these clowns - though you may have to ignore them for sometime; one friend of mine has been getting callbacks from a similar scam - see the Vector Marketing/Cutco thread - for over a year.

well well I already had a bad feeling about this "ghost" company and it's now getting worth.. I am ready to work with commissions and a small basic salary but, apparently, they don't even pay you this basic money.. it would be a problem as I'm a beginner in sales and won't probably reach my target before few weeks..
I think I might go tomorrow and see how it goes. Yes I'm curious! At least now I have an idea of what I can expect..and I will just walk away when I will have enough!
Thanks guys for your replies, I discovered this website today and already learnt interesting stuff :)

    Re: RST Organisation

RST Organisation Ltd are a Sales and Marketing company who specialise in Direct Marketing. Door to door sales is where 95% of their business comes from. They may also mention B2B and event days.

It's not like your selling pensioners new electricity contracts, RST specialise in the Support sector of direct marketing and deal solely with charities such as Unicef, British Red Cross, RSPCA and a few others.
All of RST's contracts come from a managing company called Appco Group (link below) and Cobra

RST are also officially listed with the house of companies (link below)

It's 100% commission pay. Make no sales, earn no money. It's tough as you're on your feet for 5 and a half long days a week. If you can make sales, then you can make yourself a few bob along the way but nothing major. However, there's no base rate pay and there's no guarantee. That's just how it goes with these type of jobs.

You learn intensive sales and marketing techniques and tactics. Very clever, very interesting and worth investing time and money in to even if just for a week or two (training doesn't cost however you have to pay to get yourself to work, pay travel to the chosen residential area and lunch).

The next link below shows a search result from the House of Companies. Look at the first result (RST Organisation) the others are irrelevant. You can see from the arrow on the left hand side how the company is doing financially.

Make your own choices. It's a good opportunity if you're up for it. But at the same time it's not always a viable career for everyone.
If you get past the first interview, you wont be told ANY of this. You'll be told it's a trial, a full working day and that's it.

Remember to go in with a smile and with more enthusiasm than you've ever felt before.
