    The Unholy Trinity

Check out this new site: www.theunholytrinity.co.uk

The Unholy Trinity is a book written by Eric Allsop. The major premise of The Unholy Trinity is that the God worshipped by many Christians, and the Jesus about whom fantastic claims and ‘shocking’ revelations have been made in religious conspiracy books such as The Da Vinci Code’, are both constructs built from flawed church doctrine. Unlike many other books in this genre, all the evidence contained in the Unholy Trinity to demonstrate the validity of its assertions is taken from the unedited words of the Bible. For example, the book demonstrates that biblical support for belief in the Virgin Birth and the Resurrection of Jesus is ambiguous and hence argues that they should not be enshrined in infallible dogma.

his book has been called: "The Da Vinci Code with a difference" by one reviewer. The best part is, The Unholy Trinity is all fact and is not a fictitous novel like the Da Vinci Code.

The Unholy Trinity website has a section on religious conspiracies. The book is really interesting, it uncovers the truths of the bible and reveals the way in which the church uses the many fabricated stories in the bible in its own favour. Check it out: www.theunholytrinity.co.uk

But the Father, Son and Holy Spitit are referred to, and that would be the Trinity.

    from an earler thread:

The Shamrock and The Holy Trinity

    http://www.scam.com/showthread.php?t...t=holy+Trinity

The Shamrock, at one time called the "Seamroy", symbolises the cross and blessed trinity. Before the Christian era it was a sacred plant of the Druids of Ireland because its leaves formed a triad.

The well known legend of the Shamrock connects it definitely to St. Patrick and his teaching. Preaching in the open air on the doctrine of the trinity, he is said to have illustrated the existence of the Three in One by plucking a shamrock from the grass growing at his feet and showing it to his congregation. The legend of the shamrock is also connected with that of the banishment of the serpent tribe from Ireland by a tradition that snakes are never seen on trefoil and that it is a remedy against the stings of snakes and scorpions.

The trefoil in Arabia is called shamrakh and was sacred in Iran as an emblem of the Persian triads. The trefoil, as noted above, being a sacred plant among the Druids, and three being a mystical number in the Celtic religion as well as all others, it is probable that St. Patrick must have been aware of the significance of his illustration.

There are many examples of a triad symbol being used in pre-Christian societies. The triad, and the number Three has been a sacred symbol for eons. The first evidence of the triad being used in Christianity? ST. Patrick. This is one of the most significant contributions of the early Irish Catholic Church to Christian mythology and symbolism, The Holy Trinity. It is also a very good example of how early evangelists of St, Patricks day used pagan rights, rituals and symbolism to gain converts. Modern Christianity has always been a combination of biblical teachings and pagan rituals.

Well PB, I couldn't agree less. First of all, faith is based on what you don't know, that's for sure. That's why it's called faith. But it's more so based on what you do know and that is that Jesus was not a liar, as He demonstrated many times in scripture. Problem is most folks do not understand what it is He promises you today. Good health, fortune, fame? No. His promise is eternal life, if you confess your sins and accept Him as your Lord and Savior. Period. Now, whether you believe that he'll keep His promise, that's strictly up to you .
Secondly, Regarding Christmas, Easter, the Trinity, life begins at conception, etc.:The best link, if you're interested is The Bible. If you're looking for those specific words, no. But if you are looking the birth of Christ, Christ's Ressurection, and passages to life beginning at conception - you're golden.
I happen to like the New International Version Archaeological Study Bible.

Your read on scripture appears to be rather orthodox. You are certainly entitled to believe as you chose. I, choose to review the historical record well beyond the narrow confines of a literal interpretation of the bible. We can still agree to disagree.
