    Global Cooling Weather Report

"According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, Colo., that reading of 17, at Denver International Airport, was 8 degrees colder than the Oct. 11 record of 25 set in 1905."
    http://www.philly.com/inquirer/sport...yoff_game.html

"If temperatures dip below 27 degrees overnight, Chicago will break the record set on October 11, 1964, Brumer said."
    http://www.suntimes.com/news/metro/1...101009.article

"CHEYENNE -- Winter came to southeast Wyoming Saturday with record cold and about 8 to 10 inches of snow depending on where you were."
    http://www.wyomingnews.com/articles/...p_10-11-09.txt

"That trend will continue this weekend as the National Weather Service in Hastings(Nebraska) is forecasting an unseasonably strong cold front moving through the area that is likely to set new records for the coldest daily high temperatures and possibly set a few records for the coldest low temperature. Also, much of the area could see snow this morning through noon."
    http://www.theindependent.com/articl...l/10750148.txt

"This weekend cold snap is certainly one for the record books. Today, new record cold high temperatures where recorded today in Topeka and Concordia. Topeka's previous record cold high for this day was 45, set back in 1985 and 1932. "

The list is way too long to continue.

    Honestly????

Before I rip into this. I think I'll let you do some actual research first.

First look up record high temperatures and abnormal weather. If I get more articles than you do I win???

Second Look up what global warming actually is. Because what you posted doesn't prove what you think it proves.

I'm not much good at research. Besides, I hate to be proved wrong.

Is the total content of your extensive list just more continental U.S. locations???
What do ya have for Greenland, Antarctica, Africa or Australia... just to name a few OTHER LOCATIONS on the planet.
My God... and there are people that think American schools do a good job.

Ever find you life to be a contradiction?

If your going to say global warming isn't true at least find out what it is. Otherwise you'll forever be proved wrong.

Global warming should not be a political issue. Some people think it is and that is wrong.

What is currently known from decades of research and collaboration from around the world is that the overall mean temperature of the global ocean has increased, it takes a massive amount of energy to heat that much water (hence global warming). Global warming should probably more accurately described as climate change.

This has several affects. including but not limited too slight rise in ocean elevation (warmer water expands and icecaps) and abnormal weather (more extreme's and shifting weather patterns).

What is currently up for debate by is not whether it's happening but what is causing it.

Natural climatic shift due to solar intensity. (something very possible but previous data suggest no change)

Or human influce increasing carbon and methane in the atmosphere. This would be caused by industry, cows. Distruction of forests that clean that clean out the air. Resulting in a disruption of the global equilibrium. (many people say that God created the earth to be perfect for human life and how narrow that perfect balance is. Humanity is disrupting the balance)

Further compounding the carbon is that Ice caps and trees contain carbon so when they melt or burn they release more and cause more to melt and burn. Creating a cycle of carbon release. Several scientists are afraid that at some point the planet will reach a tipping point of no return. When that happens life was we know it would be done or severely impacted.

As I you can see above one option requires you to hope that this is all natural and nothing bad will happen. The other says that something very very bad could happen and humanity as an influence in it, to start or stop it.

Even ignoring the science. From a pure options point of view. I personally would choose to prepare and counter what I have direct control to help "possibly" prevent disaster vs. the wait and see and pray policy that this will all go away.

Forget all the politics and doom sayers just think what you do in your ever day life.

If your wife takes the car when you need to use it to get to the hospital for a life saving surgery. Do you
    A) pray for your life that your wife returns or
    B) be proactive and take control of your destiny and ask your neighbor for a ride.

What provides you the best statical chance of survival?

Your a waste of time. You don't even bother to understand things.

People provide you a world to consider and information to look over that the above is your response??? That is pathetic.

    You don't provide counter information
    You don't argue any points.

You just repeat the same thing over and over because you finally after months of looking found a news headline that slightly agrees with your point of view and didn't even bother to read the rest of the article. That contradicted your point of view.

I'm not much good at research. Besides, I hate to be proved wrong.
Look at what I asked you before you say something even more short sighted.

However, I suspect you won't because you don't want to be proven wrong. Or even be given any information to consider.

Till you can actually provide an intelligent response your not worth my time.

I'm sorry if that's rude or harsh but if your going to do nothing but repeat yourself like a small child. Than your not worth my time and there is nothing I can learn from you or learn by interacting with you.

Once again, you are correct. There is nothing a person of my caliber could teach to such a learned intellectual as you. You win, as usual.

Thank you, I'm glad you see things my way.

BTW the spelling mistakes were for your benefit and were the final proof that I or anyone else needed to prove that you are a waste of time. If we had been doing an English paper your comment would be useful but since once again you were un-able and un-willing to provide any useful information, or debate than it's pointless to waste my time explaining or commenting on what you post since you will not consider, address, or qualify any remarks.

There is nothing a person of your caliber can teach anyone if you are un-willing to learn anything yourself.

I don't like to be rude but honestly, if you had repeated your arguments in a dinner table conversation. I doubt you'd win many friends. I'm sure you have some unique perspective beyond a single sentence or news clipping.

I think the jury is still out on 'proved' versus 'proven'.
    Check out these posts:

As one poster said, "Both forms are correct - and you are living on the linguistic cusp...."

    - the past tense is proved : I proved you right
    - the past participle (as used in, say, the present perfect and in passive constructions) is EITHER proved OR proven: I've proved you right OR I've proven you right / I've been proved wrong OR I've been proven wrong

This kind of fun can't be beat!!
(Prove me wrong. I love being corrected. I ain't proud!....:spin2:)

Yes Ignorence is the way of barrack.

May I suggest you watch these videos as well. That basically show that Godfree taking random temperatures means nothing a single year of cooling means nothing when you've had 3 decades of warming.

This will prevent you and others from making silly statements like it was cold in Florida while Russia had the warmest winter on record in 10 years.
