    Isaac Asimov Stupidity

Isaac Asimov told his legions of Kool Aid drinkers the origin of his atheist beliefs.

It seems young Isaac didn't study for an exam. So he prayed to God Almighty to give him the answers.

Hey, why work when you can just ask the Big Guy!

After young Isaac flunked the test, he thought he would get even with God by denying Him.

One simple test from an extraordinarily simple mind, and Isaac is convinced --- no God.

His anger seethed and boiled for decades, much the same as Richard Dawkins'.

Isaac was so very stupid that he refused to ride in any airplane, at any time. He would only ride in cars and buses, which happen to be about 10 times more dangerous per passenger mile. But hey, I told you Isaac was stupid.

His son was arrested after computer repairmen found hundreds of child pornography pictures on the younger Asimov's computer brought in for servicing.

Isaac junior was long estranged from his stupid father who had no time for his son. All Isaac wanted was his privacy and his typewriter, the better to write science fiction for his adoring fans.

Asimov believes in God today, you betcha.

    mmmmmmmmmm......how about this one...

    Dead Reverend's Rubber Fetish

Autopsy: Pastor found in wet suits after autoerotic mishap OCTOBER 8, 2007--An Alabama minister who died in June of "accidental mechanical asphyxia" was found hogtied and wearing two complete wet suits, including a face mask, diving gloves and slippers, rubberized underwear, and a head mask, according to an autopsy report. Investigators determined that Rev. Gary Aldridge's death was not caused by foul play and that the 51-year-old pastor of Montgomery's Thorington Road Baptist Church was alone in his home at the time he died (while apparently in the midst of some autoerotic undertaking). While the Montgomery Advertiser, which first obtained the autopsy records, reported on Aldridge's two wet suits, the family newspaper chose not to mention what police discovered inside the minister's rubber briefs. Aldridge served as the church's pastor for 16 years. Immediately following his death, church officials issued a press release asking community members to "please refrain from speculation" about what led to Aldridge's demise, adding that, "we will begin the healing process under the strong arm of our Savior, Jesus Christ."

Let's see, because some other people are stupid, that is supposed to mean that Isaac Asimov was not?

Leftists and atheists are unable to think rationally.

    How's that? He's dead.

    I C&P'd this from Wiki;
Isaac Asimov was a humanist and a rationalist. He did not oppose religious conviction in others, but he frequently railed against superstitious and pseudoscientific beliefs that tried to pass themselves off as genuine science. During his childhood, his father and mother observed Orthodox Jewish traditions, though not as stringently as they had in Petrovichi; they did not, however, force their beliefs upon young Isaac. Thus he grew up without strong religious influences, coming to believe that the Torah represented Hebrew mythology in the same way that the Iliad recorded Greek mythology. For a brief while his father worked in the local synagogue to enjoy the familiar surroundings and "shine as a learned scholar" versed in the sacred writings. This scholarship was a seed for his later authorship and publication of Asimov's Guide to the Bible, an analysis of the historic foundations for both old and new testaments. For many years, Asimov called himself an atheist; however, he considered the term somewhat inadequate, as it described what he did not believe rather than what he did. Eventually, he described himself as a "humanist" and considered that term more practical. He did, however, continue to identify himself as Jewish in the ethnic sense, as stated in his introduction to Jack Dann's anthology of Jewish science fiction, Wandering Stars: "I attend no services and follow no ritual and have never undergone that curious puberty rite, the bar mitzvah. It doesn't matter. I am Jewish."

In his last volume of autobiography, Asimov wrote, "If I were not an atheist, I would believe in a God who would choose to save people on the basis of the totality of their lives and not the pattern of their words. I think he would prefer an honest and righteous atheist to a TV preacher whose every word is God, God, God, and whose every deed is foul, foul, foul." The same memoir states his belief that Hell is "the drooling dream of a sadist" crudely affixed to an all-merciful God; if even human governments were willing to curtail cruel and unusual punishments, wondered Asimov, why would punishment in the afterlife not be restricted to a limited term? Asimov rejected the idea that a human belief or action could merit infinite punishment. If an afterlife of just deserts existed, he claimed, the longest and most severe punishment would be reserved for those who "slandered God by inventing Hell". As his books Treasury of Humor and Asimov Laughs Again record, Asimov was willing to tell jokes involving the Judeo-Christian God, Satan, the Garden of Eden, Jerusalem, and other religious topics, expressing the viewpoint that a good joke can do more to provoke thought than hours of philosophical discussion.

Let me explain. Isaac Asimov is dead and gone to hell. Everyone in hell believes in God. Their master is satan. They wish they had chosen more wisely, but alas, it's too late for them.

    Is that better?

    Re: Isaac Asimov Stupidity

When did Isaac Asimov turn to atheism?

It seems that young Isaac had an important exam coming up in college.
Rather than study, Isaac prayed that he would get a good grade.

When he flunked the test, Isaac decided he would show God a thing or two. He renounced God, for the rest of his life.

Brilliant. Test God, and when God fails your designated test, renounce Him permanently.

This was the basis for one man's atheism. It was lazy. It was ignorant. It was intolerant and utterly foolish.
So naturally atheists, like Isaac Asimov, always try to paint themselves as intellectual giants, while relentlessly portraying Christians as ignorant rubes.

It is much the same with the Democrat Party. Dishonesty above all else, iin pursuit of their objectives, domination and control.

So, let me get this straight.

Isaac Asimov is in Hell now because he didn't believe in God, but now that he IS in Hell he does believe in God.

That's quite interesting BarackZero, please explain to us how exactly you know this. Did you interview him yourself? Did God write you a message in some burnt toast? Or are you just an idiot?

How many times are you going to repeat this same thing? Hey, repeat that cave fish argument for the third time while you're at it.

Yeah, of ONE MAN'S atheism. So what's a talking burning bush supposed to be?

    Re: Isaac Asimov Stupidity

I just learned today that Isaac Asimov divorced his first wife, Gertrude.

    How brilliant.

One of a person's most important decisions of their life, and Asimov screwed that up too.

He had his first heart attack at age 57 and died at the age of 72.

    Who needs exercise, anyway!

Incidentally, the median life expectancy for Americans when Asimov died was considerably older than 72. Probably it was more like 83 or 84.

Stupid klutz that he was, Asimov never learned how to swim or ride a bicycle.

Sheesh, the list goes on and on.

Petulant, condescending, a pathological narcissist, much like Barack Obama, out of shape, a divorcee, a ghastly awful father, and deathly afraid of riding in airplanes, Asimov should be a poster child for leftist "intellectuals".

Wow I sure don't remember Barack Obama being out of shape, a divorcee, a ghastly awful father, or being afraid of riding in airplanes. Maybe you should work on your grammar if that's not what you meant.

You know he was genius and most of geniuses are eccentric. If you have achieved 1/10000000 of what Asimov achieved, world would forgive you a lot of stuff.

Zero, a hypocritical, intellectually dishonest bottom-feeder. Why would you take a position that Asimov was "stupid" based on his divorce and yet, you beam about Newt Gingrich in your signature:

"As an American I am not so shocked that Obama was given the Nobel Peace Prize without any accomplishments to his name, but that America gave him the White House based on the same credentials." - Newt Gingrich
Who we all know has been....

Gingrich has been married three times. He married Jackie Battley, his former high school geometry teacher, when he was 19 years old. She was seven years his senior at 26 years old. They had two daughters, and he pressured her for a divorce in 1981, while she was recovering from cancer surgery. Numerous allegations that Gingrich was callous in the way he handled the divorce were made in a 1984 Mother Jones magazine article. In 1981, six months after his divorce was final, Gingrich wed Marianne Ginther. He remained married to Ginther until 2000, when they divorced. Shortly thereafter, Gingrich then married Callista Bisek, with whom he was conducting an extra-marital affair during the Congressional investigation of Bill Clinton's perjury relating to his affair with 23-year-old intern, Monica Lewinsky.

So what is it you want us to do with this information/story? Are you trying to warn us that we better not think any bad thoughts about God? That we had better ride in airplanes? Not ever do anything stupid?Or we will pay for it by burning in hell forever?
Thanks BarackZero, You are really a life saver! Or should I say Afterlife saver!
