It appears that if a Judge approves of you as an "expert" witness that effectively, you are "certified" by the court.

So, my pardons, I am wrong. I've never heard it put quite that way but the definition is accurate. You can be a certified court witness.

I think I'll go back to politics now. Sheesh!

Surely this cannot be true! Erneston posted this, and Erneston knows everything.....

Posted by Erneston: There's no such title, Wendy. Judges in US state courts accept people as "experts" in specific subjects on a case-by-case basis. What it ought to say is that his evidence has been admitted in some (maybe even many) cases as "expert testimony" by a court, which will always happen if one side's lawyer wants to call him as an expert witness and the other side's lawyer doesn't object. (A judge will almost never object himself to an expert witness already agreed to by both sides at the preliminary procedural hearings.)

But of course it sounds more impressive to make it sound like some sort of "official title". rofl

Post edited to insert the sentence above in brackets, for additional clarity.
Also Doc, you better remove it from Quatloos, you've given them duff information.

I'm going to do the same thing here as I've done with the other off topic posts that are directed at me. You now get to say what ever you want in response to this post, then we're done.

Also, placing the word "yoli" somewhere in the post doesn't get you off the hook. Moderators here can use discretion, and we're not stupid.

    So sayeth the Benevolent Dictator.

OK, then let me say this (since you say I can have one more word) - you should never get involved in what you would call troll baiting. That's exactly what you are doing by responding under the guise of "defending myself." Then you make it worse by going on a power trip, throwing your weight around, saying "Don't do that again!" How do you think people are going to react?

Just because you can, does it mean that you should? You'd be better off ignoring it.

You should probably spend some of this time you are arguing with people over the slights to your ego in finding some replacement moderators, since the spammers are having a free for all.

Never said you were stupid (well, unless you are involved in a travel MLM and then I might reconsider).

Oh, and I still haven't tried Yoli, nor did I stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

(And now that I've been properly chastised, I'll go back to my usual haunt.)

Never argue with idiots. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.

This thread is so damned off topic that I'm going to close it. If you guys want to start another YOLI thread, go for it, just remember, the rules apply, discuss that program.
