    >> Where are the Reputable Companies???

    Looking for a good company...

I'm a long-time reader of this board, especially the Insurance Forum.
Its pretty discouraging to see good people with high hopes of making a decent living taken advantage of by an unethical company.

Mixed in with these posts, some people say they have moved on to better situations with reputable companies.

My post is asking for names of reputable companies where I could re-start my sales career.
Sales, but not necessarily Insurance Sales.

    Thanks!!

It depends on what you want to focus on I guess. Personally, I think getting appointed with a broker or independent agency in your area that will let you sell policies from a host of companies is the way to go. I don't think there is one company out there that is the best at everything, and most companies don't offer products across all lines of insurance. Company A may have the best LTC. Company B may have the best life insurance. Company C may offer the best Med Supp in your area. Company D may have the best annuities. This is why it pays to not be a captive agent; by signing up with a broker or independent agency, you can sell the best products from Companies A, B, C and D. This benefits both you and your client. It's really up to you to do the research in your neck of the woods and find such a company though.

That is the most sensible thing I have read on here all day.
