    What does this verse mean?

    Genesis 3:21

"The LORD God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them. "

Did humans have no skin back then?

    Sounds a bit wierd.

What it means is they had very little understanding of reality or truth and did the best they could with what they had. No more and no less. Only children could believe these things.

Depends on which version of the Bible you read.

And Jehovah God doth make to the man and to his wife coats of skin, and doth clothe them.
Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge: it is those who know little, and not those who know much, who so positively assert that this or that problem will never be solved by science. -C. Darwin

I don't know.. but on the same subject... a line from another fiction storey bothers me too.

What do you think the writers meant when they said:

"and this little piggy went wee wee wee wee wee wee wee wee all the way home?"

I know... decoding these fiction books can be rough.... I wonder if it means that God says we have to say wee repeatedly as we go home or else we don't get into heaven... what do you think?

God took the skin of sheep to clothe them. Jeffrey Dommer (sp.?) might take human skin for clothing.

Common assertion. This is precisely where we run into problems. The phrase "we don't know" would work fine. Does it really matter what skin was used? Other than that, the issue is that god, knowing this would happen had already sent a tailor to fit them while they were still mindless automatons. God already had this covered, just the author of geneisis (whom we do not know) forgot to mention it. Not that it would ever matter.

Where did he get a tailor?

Where did the tailor get the skins?

Was God the first murderer by killing his newly created animals to make coverings for the people?

Why didn't God just make humans right the first time in such a way that we don't need clothes? A thick fur of hair like a husky or a bear would have covered anything God didn't want us to see quite well.

I guess God is too dumb to think of that or he was really looking forward to killing and skinning the animals??

The Firmament. It's a fabric store down in the garment district.

It's not murder if you created them and then killed them. It's called systematic attrition. Don't worry, they went to heaven.

Well, don't forget the reversed optics in the eye, genetic diseases, reproductive organs sharing the same space as waste removal systems. The period, the prostate, the appendix, the pancreas, combined eating and breathing openings. The sinus's, ability to digest cellulose, wisdom teeth, hemorrhoids, to name a few.

Nope no god, just a silly book.

    Nothing is weird about this.

Do you think humans are the only animals that have skin?

Every animal has skin numb nuts. How is this confusing?

Well it's still evidence that God screwed up. If he had foreknowledge of what man was going to do, then the least he could have done was had the clothing ready before.

Here you see him going back and fixing one of his many screwups.

No, it's not. Your evidence that GOD screwed up. Just kidding!???
The truth of the matter is we kill trees, animals and fish by the millions.
    In the name of LIFE.
Don't think this goes unnoticed by GOD. Sacrifice in the name of LIFE has its own reward. We just get to pick and choose these things, while the others Don't. What have you given lately, without asking a return ??? One day you'll wish had.
