    Youth 4 Life

The above organization withdrew monies from my checking/debit account without my permission. Has anyone else have this happen to them?

You might have to change your bank account, as they might try it again.

Thanks Terry, for your interest. I'm going to notify my bank tomorrow to block any further fund removal from this organization.

Now here is a thread dealing with a true blatant scam, opposed to many others under "religious scams" which are nothing more than people just disagreeing and passing it off as "proof." If you didn't authorize the transaction and your debit card is a Visa then you can recover your funds, good luck

I have had this happen to me... just not a religious organization... it was simply an unauthorized charge. The company looked up my card number from previous payments and charged my account to pay my bill.
There was nothing I could do, but contact my bank and contest the charge as unauthorized. The bank did put the money back in my account and issued a chargeback against the company. I then voided the debit card (visa) and had the bank issue a new one to me.
Explain to the bank that the charge was unauthorized and that you are challenging it's validity. If they will not credit the funds back to you then it's time to change banks and take this as a lesson hard learned... Don't entrust your debit/credit card numbers with anyone.
