Well then I was surely tricked into this. I was locked out at first from desktop screen. The Microsoft page that was showing would not clear, as I read on the Help page, I had to renew my license. Turn's out it was another virus program. After I purchased to renew the license's , thats when I realize it was just a virus program. The web page had a customer support phone but all I recieved when I call it was a recording, that they would call back. I also, found a email address to send back to customer service. Both I haven't seen or heard from yet.
Anyone that get's this, be fore warn of it.
I'll update this as , if when I hear from customer support.

Note from the above linked page,
    # Operating Systems:
Windows Me, Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows 98

    # Additional Requirements:
    Windows 98/Me/NT/2000/XP, Internet Explorer 5.0

    # Date Added:
    April 06, 2003
That program is 6 years old and if you check the 'Previous Versions' you'll notice that that progarm was updated 14 times between 1997 and 2003. It has not been updated since 2003.

Also, Internet Explorer 8.0 just came out.

Try ccleaner.com/. Works with almost all browsers and it's free.

    Re: Microsoft.com license

I was not looking to buy a cookie crusher or another virus protection program.
My computer was frozen by this so called program from Mircosoft, till I renew my license. Under that, it had a cookie crusher an other options to choose.
After I did buy ( I thought was just the license) it unfroze my computer.

Update to what is pending on this issue: I finally recieved a email from customer support , they are going to refund my money back to me. I have not see that happened yet.

That sounds so similar to a virus called "Antivirus 360", you get it by downloading a program like, Limewire, etc, on your computer.

It is one of the most annoying virses because it becomes a pop-up and you can't open any windows without this pop-up showing up and it want's you to buy this antivirus program. It wants you to pay (which of course you shouldn't).

I know this because my son had the brainwave of downloading Limewire into one of our computers once and then he started complaining because this pop-up kept coming up and he couldn't get rid of it or even use the computer. Turned out to be the Trojan, had to uninstall LimeWire and seek out the virus with Norton.
Had to scan the system 3x, I have heard that many times Norton won't even get rid of it, you have to use spybot, I guess we lucked out! :judges:
