Root on “Savage Nation” Calls for Nationwide Protests to “SHUT DOWN AMERICA” by Small Business Owners & Entrepreneurs

Root Says “Obama Has Declared WAR on Small Business Owners and Productive Taxpayers
Root Calls for Small Business Owners, Entrepreneurs, High-Income Earners to Unionize with the PSTA (Private Sector Taxpayers of America)

Las Vegas, NV—March 4, 2009--Libertarian 2008 Vice Presidential nominee Wayne Allyn Root will present a Commentary on “President Obama’s War on Small Business” on Michael Savage's national radio show "Savage Nation" on Wednesday 3/4/09. Root will appear in the 3rd hour of Savage's show. Root is now a regular weekly commentator on Michael Savage's popular show. "Savage Nation" is the third most popular radio talk show in America, reaching over 8.25 million listeners each day.

Root, the busy 2012 Libertarian Presidential hopeful, and author of the upcoming book, “The Conscience of a Libertarian: Empowering the Citizen Revolution with God, Guns, Gambling & Tax Cuts” will suggest that self made Americans- entrepreneurs, small business owners, self-employed independent contractors- should organize, mobilize and unionize. Root has named this union the PSTA- the Private Sector Taxpayers of America. Root says, “If Obama loves unions so much, we’ll give him a union- the union of the people in this country who pay most of the taxes, create most of the jobs, provide most of the productivity, make most of the investments, and take all the economic risks.”

“Obama is prejudiced. He is discriminating against one group- the productive class. Instead of raising taxes equally, he has targeted one group to punish, one group to make all the sacrifices, one group to pay for his massive tax increases. But that group is already shouldering most of the burden. It is time to show Obama that we are the group that is too big to fail. It is time for us to unionize. It is time for us to put out ‘Closed for Business” signs and march on Washington DC. It is time to shut down America and prove our value to society. It is time to show government what it’s like to try to live without our workforce, without our productivity, without our taxes. It’s time for the Private Sector Taxpayers of America to shut this country down.”

“What’s Obama going to do? Show us how important government is and shut it down? We can only hope and pray he shuts government down. We’re the ones paying all the bills, while government does nothing for us- the private sector taxpayers. Government takes and takes from us, and gives us nothing in return. President Obama, we dare you to shut government down! But of course Obama couldn’t. It would only prove how unimportant government is in our lives- the productive Americans wouldn’t even notice it was missing!”

Root's plans for unionizing small business owners and private sector taxpayers will be a centerpiece of his new book, out June 15th, entitled, “The Conscience of a Libertarian: Empowering the Citizen Revolution with God, Guns, Gambling & Tax Cuts.”

God, Guns, Gambling and Tax Cuts?

    Now that's "productive" all right.

    What Capitalism Really Looks Like
    Thursday, April 2, 2009, 08:50 AM
By Wayne Allyn Root, 2008 Libertarian Vice Presidential nominee

I woke up yesterday morning and got a chance to see what capitalism really looks like. You see capitalism- for better or worse- is alive and well in Las Vegas, Nevada. The headlines in the Las Vegas paper were filled with pain, losses, doom, gloom, bankruptcy and…CAPITALISM. Station Casinos reported they might file for bankruptcy by April 15th. Bally's Hotel announced they were closing their Race & Sports book until next fall. The Riviera Casino Hotel and Hooters Casino Hotel both missed interest payments and could file for bankruptcy soon. Herbst Gaming is already in bankruptcy. None of the bad news in yesterday's headlines even included news about the three biggest gaming companies in the world. Harrahs, MGM Mirage and Las Vegas Sands (Venetian) are all multi-billion dollar conglomerates on the verge of bankruptcy (with stock prices off by more than 90%). And to top it off, one of the biggest developers in Las Vegas, James Rhodes, also made headlines yesterday by filing a petition for bankruptcy on behalf of a multitude of his businesses. It's all just another day at the office in the midst of the worst economic crisis since 1929. And I have a feeling- with Obama's tragic economic policies soon to take effect- we are heading for an economic crisis worse than 1929. This folks is what a full-fledged depression looks like.

But there is one good thing to come out of all these depressing (and shocking) headlines- they prove that in Las Vegas, we still practice capitalism. You see failure is a natural (and unfortunately, necessary) part of capitalism. Failure plays just as big a part in a capitalist system as success. Companies succeed and fail every day in a capitalist system. Companies are allowed (and are supposed) to go bankrupt without the government jumping in to save them. Bankruptcy serves a useful purpose. It doesn't mean that a company is going out of business. It might mean that the company is restructuring and shedding unprofitable contracts, or bloated union contracts under the protection of bankruptcy court. It might mean that the company is becoming leaner and meaner. It might mean that a competitor will buy the company out of bankruptcy.

That's precisely how capitalism has worked for centuries. That's precisely why capitalism works. In a free market capitalist system, businesses and businessmen are allowed to succeed and fail without government interference. Some people soar, while others flop. That's precisely how you figure out the winners and losers- you leave companies (and people) alone and allow them to succeed or fail. If they fail, someone new will come along to pick up the pieces and do it better. How would anyone learn from these failures and mistakes, if government doesn't allow anyone to fail in the first place?

There is risk inherent in business. You cannot take risk out of the equation, or it isn't capitalism anymore. To change that equation produces government-controlled Socialism. In the long run, government interference in business is a disaster. Yes, in the short term it might avert a sudden panic or market crash. But in the long run, allowing a company to fail is healthier for the system and the economy. Ask Cuba…or the old Soviet Union (who had to build a wall to keep people from escaping)…or the People's Republic of China of 30 years ago. Under communism China was once one of the poorest nations in the world. Today, under a capitalist system, it is one of the richest. Asking government to save businesses, to choose winners and losers, distorts the free market system and kills capitalism. In the long run it costs millions of jobs to artificially prop up failing companies. In the long run it damages GDP (Gross Domestic Product) just as Obama's own Congressional Budget Office now predicts that Obama's trillion dollar bailouts and stimulus plans will decrease GDP over the next decade.

Worse, government has no idea how to run a business. Most of the people working in government couldn't get or keep a job in the private sector. Now we suddenly want them to make life and death decisions about how to save or run major companies or industries? How preposterous. Failure is natural. It is part and parcel of the capitalist system. It is actually…HEALTHY. If government would just leave the banks, AIG, and the "Big 3" automakers alone, we'd all be far better off in the long run. When TWA and Eastern Airlines failed, we all survived. As a matter of fact, out of the ashes rose Southwest Airlines- and flying got better (and more profitable). When the U.S. television manufacturing industry failed, somehow we all survived. We found new companies to make better television sets at cheaper prices- Sony, Sanyo, Samsung, etc. We should all keep this in mind when we discuss the options for companies like GM, Ford and Chrysler. No one is too big to fail.

Is failure really bad? Or do good things come out of failure? Look no further for proof than the housing market in Las Vegas. Housing prices have collapsed, down 50% or more from just 2 years ago. I'm certainly not happy about it. The Las Vegas economy is downright painful. It has already put one of my businesses out of business. My home is down as much as 50% from its high value. My ownership in two casino stocks is down over 90%. But I haven't asked government for a bailout. I haven't asked government for a dollar, or a favor. I've been too busy restructuring my life. It's called initiative. It's called ambition. It's called creativity. It's called tenacity. It's called being RELENTLESS.

I want and expect nothing from government. I don't believe in handouts. I believe in free markets, self-reliance, and personal responsibility. I didn't complain to my government when my home went up 50%; what right would I have to complain when it goes down 50%? But this is called free market capitalism. We've had 25 straight years of economic boom and expansion (since the amazing economic recovery orchestrated by President Ronald Reagan). A bust is to be expected after a quarter century of boom. Government can't change that (but they can make it far deeper and far worse).

But this housing crash isn't bad for everyone. What's happening right now in Las Vegas is proof positive of why government should keep its hands off of free markets. Some people are cheering the drop in Las Vegas housing prices. Like those who have been priced out of the housing market for years- some for a decade or longer. New buyers, first-time buyers, and young couples are thrilled at the Las Vegas housing collapse. They are finally able to buy homes at prices that reflect reality. The result is a housing BOOM in Las Vegas. Residential real estate sales have doubled from this same period a year ago. Doubled! Remarkable. Las Vegas homes are flying off the shelf. Yes, most of them are foreclosures. Yes, $500,000 homes are selling for $200,000. So what? That's good for the buyers. This could be the greatest buying opportunity in history. In capitalism, one man or woman's terrible loss can sometimes be another's fantastic gain.

But if government interferes it screws up the natural cleansing process. If government stops homeowners from losing their homes, then new buyers will be locked out of the process. And landlords who want to rent homes to those who lost their homes will suffer. Worst of all, government will be unnaturally propping up home prices- thereby risking a new housing bubble. Only a free market can and should determine the price of a home.

Wall Street is no different. With casino stocks like MGM Mirage and Las Vegas Sands selling for $2 per share, down from a high of $150 per share (or higher), some investors are cheering. These stocks are affordable for the first time in years. Other investors have made a fortune selling them short all the way down. In each of these cases, there were winners and losers, and none of it was the government's business. To ask the government to get involved would distort the free market, and favor one group over another. It would kill capitalism. Stock investors have a right to profit or lose on the way up, and on the way down. The problem is that no one complains on the way up, but sore losers and whiners complain bitterly on the way down. They want to keep their massive profits, but demand government take action to take away their losses. I have news for them- that's not how capitalism works. Worse, government involvement in business is the very definition of “conflict of interest.” You can bet whoever President Obama or Congress chooses to “save” will be chosen by the size of their past and future campaign contributions.

Bankruptcy in the business world works the same way. Government has no right- according to the Constitution- to get involved in bailouts, managing corporations, limiting salaries of executives, or firing CEO's. The answer is to leave these companies alone and let the free market and private investors figure out a way to save them, fix them, improve them, or let them go the way of the Edsel. Am I worried about the futures of Las Vegas companies like Harrahs, MGM Mirage, Las Vegas Sands, Stations, Herbst, Hooters or the Riviera? Sure. I want them to succeed. I'm rooting for them (excuse the pun). But in the end, it isn't government's job to get involved. It sure isn't government's job to use taxpayer money to choose winners or losers (based on legal bribes called "campaign contributions"). These gaming companies will either find a way to survive, get restructured, or get bought by a competitor. That's called capitalism. I'm proud to say it's alive and well in my hometown of Las Vegas, Nevada. We don't ask for bailouts. We don't need no stinkin' bailouts. Here in Nevada we believe in capitalism, free markets, self-reliance, rugged individualism, personal responsibility, and the American way. We've done pretty well so far with this Frontier Spirit. I think we'll stay the course.

Wayne Allen Root is a self-promoting loser. Perhaps you and the rest of your movement can fill the short bus...

It's one thing to say you have all the answers while on the outside but, it's another to actually have to make decisions with hard consequences that affect lives.

Libertarianism is all pie in the sky.

That's too funny, I think pie in the sky is what we have now!:spin2:

Ignoring the constitution, counterfeiting, running ponzii schemes, very funny comment

This is right off Waynes page, ask yourself how many of these things do you agree with?

'My political career began in 1964 at age 3 when I handed out campaign literature for Barry Goldwater in my father's arms in Mt. Vernon, New York. Barry Goldwater is my hero and mentor. I pledge to carry on Barry's vision. I pledge that if elected, my first act is to give the power back to the people. It's your tax money, it's your government. I plan to return it to you!"
    --Wayne Allyn Root

    I stand for:
    Fiscal Conservatism!
*Limited Government- run the federal government with one overriding goal- protect the dignity, rights, liberty and freedom of the individual.
*States' Rights- I support restoring the constitution, getting the federal government out of our lives, and solving problems at the most local level possible.
*I will sign pledge to NOT raise tax rates- PERIOD!
*I support drastically reduced & simplified federal taxes
*I support the elimination of death taxes.
*I support dramatically reduced government spending.
*I support cutting, shrinking and/or streamlining entire departments of the federal government- departments that based on the Constitution are not under federal jurisdiction.
*I support dramatically reduced government entitlement programs.
*I support dramatically reduced corporate welfare
*I support the hiring of fewer Government bureaucrats. And drastically lowering pensions and benefits for future government employees- these create massive debt and unfunded liabilities for taxpayers.
*I support ROOTING out government waste- to support this crucial goal, I will ask Congress to give the Government Accountability Office real power by elevating its chief, the Comptroller General of the United States, to a cabinet-level executive branch officer, with oversight over all federal programs and agencies. Under my plan, the Comptroller would have the ability to take government agencies to court to compel their efficient performance and to forcibly remove waste and pork.
*I support Social Security reform that creates ownership for senior citizens- I believe Social Security reform is a property rights issue. The money we pay into the Social Security system is our personal property. Each taxpayer should have ownership over that property- and therefore be allowed to leave that property in a will to their loved ones.
*I also believe in CHOICE as it applies to Social Security- all Americans should have the choice to create personal retirement savings accounts that give us ownership over our own retirement savings (the same right that federal employees and politicians enjoy).
*I support a balanced budget- to accomplish this goal, I pledge to cap discretionary federal spending (other than monies dedicated to military spending).
*I love the smell of vetoes in the morning- I will pledge to sign more VETOES than any President in history!
*I support the Line Item Veto. I will push relentlessly and tirelessly to make this a crucial part of the President's arsenal to fight the deficit, cut waste, and balance the budget.
*I support Lawyer Abuse Reform- to reduce frivolous lawsuits that cost American consumers billions of dollars.
*I support an immediate end to Affirmative action in awarding government contracts. This is reverse racism- PERIOD.
*I support a Free Market economy- Plain and simple, capitalism works. When government gets involved it creates distortion, dysfunction and disaster. I support free enterprise, reduced government regulation, and tax relief for entrepreneurs and small business, as well as personal responsibility for the individual.
*I stand for Workplace Freedom- I support Secret Ballots in the Union Organization Process. No one in America should be forced to join a union to keep their job. Nor should the voting process to determine unionization be open to coercion or intimidation. Workers should have the same rights as American voters to vote in secret.
*I support Freedom and Parental Choice in the Educational System- The constitution does not allow for federal government interference in the education of our children. As a matter of fact, the word "education" never appears once in the Constitution. We need to get federal government out of the education business. We need to give parents and students the freedom to pursue the education of their choice- just as my wife and I do by choosing to home-school our 4 children. I support giving parents control of the education of their own children, instead of government bureaucrats. I support utilization of school choice, vouchers or tax credits on the state and local level to increase education competition; encourage private, parochial and home-schooling; reward superior performance for educators; create magnet schools which give principals autonomy over budgets, hiring and firing; and streamline bureaucracy- giving our education dollars to teachers and kids, NOT bureaucrats and administrators.
*I support the total elimination of the Department of Education on the federal level. The more we spend on education, the WORSE the results, the more damage we do to our children. In 2000, the Dept. of Education budget was $33 billion. Today it is $64 billion. Has education improved? Have drop-out rates improved? Have reading or math scores improved? We've doubled the budget- yet the results are worse than ever. What a great example of bureaucracy, hypocrisy and waste. Hey a billion here and a billion there- pretty soon we have some real money at stake!
    * I support a Free Market health care system- Let's get the federal government out of the health care business and leave it up to individuals. All Americans should have the freedom and rights to choose the health insurance, doctors, holistic healers, medicine and treatment they deem satisfactory. Let's utilize vouchers, tax cuts, and tax breaks to encourage individuals to buy health insurance. I stand strongly against nationalized health care- which takes away personal freedom and choice. Do we want the people in charge of Hurricane Katrina or the Walter Reed hospital scandal in charge of the entire health care system? This is a recipe for disaster.
*I support overturning McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform- it is a violation of our First Amendment rights to FREE SPEECH.
    * I do support campaign reform in the form of mandatory term limits for all elected officials. If American citizens are ever going to get our rights and freedoms back, and limit the size and scope of government, we need to end the power and corruption of incumbency.
*I support Voting ballots in English-only. My goal is to reduce the cost of government. Therefore we must stop wasting taxpayer money by printing ballots and administering elections in multiple languages.
*I support the rights of citizens to bear arms. I believe in the Second Amendment- the part of our Bill of Rights that protects the individual right of all Americans to keep and bear arms. PERIOD. The first line of defense against terrorism is the armed American: let's start treating patriotic American gun owners with the respect they deserve for shouldering this great responsibility and taking the unrealistic pressure off of our National Guard (which cannot be everywhere at once). This makes infinitely more sense than putting gun owners in jail for owning guns that were perfectly legal in 1985, while we turn America into a vast arena of undefended potential terrorism targets. Gun laws are a failure- they fail to stop criminals from buying guns on the black market. Yet they leave law-abiding Americans defenseless at the hands of criminals.
***NOTE: If you haven't checked this site recently, I have strengthened my position on gun rights, due to the massive amounts of information that have been sent to me from well-informed gun owners across the nation. A special thank you to my Libertarian gun rights friends and fans. You are truly patriots.

"Government should be of the people, by the people, for the people. What part of that do politicians and government bureaucrats not understand? Government has no right to keep secrets from the people. The people are paying for it. It's THEIR government. They have a right to know everything going on. I will make government transparent. One big reality show. I will eliminate the back-alley deals, the smoke-filled rooms where secret deals are made. With me, what you see is what you'll get. I'll bring it all out into the open. The people will be back in charge."
    --Wayne Allyn Root

Institute TOTAL TRANSPARENCY & ACCOUNTABILITY in government. EVERYTHING I do and decide as President will be open to public and media scrutiny.

Jury Rights I support an amendment being made to the US Constitution that would eliminate the practice of 'voir dire' (prosecutorial jury-rigging), make jury service optional, and clearly enumerating the right of the citizen-juror to judge the law in trials, as well as whether or not the law was broken. This amendment would also mandate that all jurors must be informed of their rights before the beginning of every trial. Such an amendment would clarify the vague language (referring to the "common law") of the 6th amendment to the US Constitution, and leave no room for tyrant judges and prosecutors to manipulate the law in favor of a conviction. Such an amendment has often been referred to as a "Fully Informed Jury Amendment."

*No more secrecy or cover-ups, no more smoke-filled rooms or back-alley deals.
*Drastically reduced foreign aid- stop ******* countries that aren't our friends- utilize the carrot vs. stick.
*I support greater oversight of government spending and Pentagon spending.
*I support greater accountability and transparency at the United Nations. We must demand a cut in spending, waste, fraud and abuse of U.N. funds. We must be certain that American taxpayers no longer support activities counter to American interests and security.

"I will end the Nanny State. I will give personal responsibility back to the American people. The decisions on how to live your lives are yours. The decision on vaccinations for your children is yours. The decision on what to eat is yours. The decision on what to watch on your computer or television is yours. The decision to own a gun is yours. The decision to smoke or drink or gamble is yours. The decision to wear a helmet on a motorcycle is yours- as long as you accept personal responsibility. The job of government is not to protect you from yourself. Or to prosecute victimless crimes. Big Brother will no longer be open for business under my watch."
    --Wayne Allyn Root

    END THE NANNY STATE
*More Freedom, Liberty & Rights for individuals
    *End warrantless wiretaps immediately
*I oppose Eminent Domain by government- our government will NOT take private property under my watch.
*End the pointless (and expensive) prosecution of victimless crimes- end the police state/Big Brother. Billions of taxpayer monies are wasted by the investigation and prosecution of victimless crime.
*The war on drugs is a failure- this is one of the biggest wastes of taxpayer money. Let's start with legalization of medical marijuana- this is a states' rights issue. The federal government has no constitutional right to interfere in this issue versus states that have approved the use of medical marijuana by individuals.
*I support Internet Freedom. I support the legalization, regulation & taxation of Online Gaming (just like U.K.). Prohibition has been proven a failure. Let's legalize, regulate and tax this growing industry- thereby bringing in billions of dollars in new tax revenues that we can use for deficit reduction, homeland security, or the war on terror.
*I will protect the rights and freedoms of American citizens to decide end of life issues- The Terri Schiavo Right to Die crisis should not have been a federal issue. Under my leadership, we will never again allow the federal government to interfere in personal decisions such as the freedom of individuals to choose to end their life with dignity. These are better left to the voters of each state.
*I oppose censorship and federal interference in the entertainment business-I support freedom of expression and oppose government censorship and over-regulation of entertainment, communications, media or technology. I support allowing the free markets to determine those choices. It is not the federal government's role to determine viewer choices. If viewers don't like what they are watching or hearing, they have the ultimate choice- CHANGE THE CHANNEL!
*I oppose a National ID card for Americans. Think of the implications- the same people responsible for the Veterans Administration boondoggle, when a lost laptop resulted in 40 million names going AWOL, now want to hold all our names and personal information for safekeeping? Perhaps they didn't get the memo- the only thing that we, the people, need protecting from is big government!
*I stand strongly for Free Market Healthcare. I will protect American consumer's rights and freedoms to choose holistic, natural, alternative health care products and services. I stand strongly against the FDA's attempt to regulate vitamins, herbs, healthy alternative products, and holistic health care services. In America- a country built on the principles of freedom and free markets- all consumers have the right to choose any healthy, holistic, natural remedy, product or healer they want to. To put these choices under the FDA's "Guidelines for Complementary and Alternative Medicine" is the best possible example of Big Brother eroding our rights and freedoms. It is a blatant violation of consumer and patient rights.

"Abortion is a states' rights issue. Education is a states' right issue. Medical marijuana is a states' rights issue. Gay marraige is a states' rights issue. Right to Die (typified by the Terri Schiavo crisis) is a states' rights issue. Come to think of it, almost every social issue of our day is a States' Rights issue. Let's get the federal government out of our lives."
    --Wayne Allyn Root

    TOLERANT on social issues:
*I believe abortion is a matter of personal choice and not intended for federal government intervention. It is a States' Rights issue. Let's get the federal government out of a woman's right to choose what to do with their own body- this will prevent the death of innocent women at the hands of butchers in back-alleys.
BUT I also support common sense limitations on abortion- no late term or partial birth abortion (unless a mother's life is endangered)...no federal ******* of abortion...and I support Parental Notification for ******** girls.
*I support gay rights and civil unions. Gay marriage however is not a federal issue. It is a States' Rights issue only.
*I support stem cell research- it is not government's job to stop valuable and critical medical research on disease based on extreme religious views.
*I support Environmental moderation- I believe global warming is a danger to our planet earth, but at a rate far less dangerous, damaging and destructive than hysterical liberal alarmists and environmental extremists like Al Gore proclaim. I believe that we need to act to prevent further potential catastrophic damage to our planet. But I would not institute drastic laws, or agree to global standards that erode our American way of life, damage our economy, or cost millions of jobs. Rather I'd invest in what Newt Gingrich calls a "Scientific Revolution" that promotes capitalism and creates more jobs- through tax incentives that encourage new breakthroughs in science, space, alternative energy, and the environment.
*I am opposed to Yucca Mountain- I do not think nuclear waste should be transported across the country, thereby posing a greater security, accident or terrorist threat. I also believe the choice of a nuclear storage site near Las Vegas is completely irresponsible and reckless. Yucca Mountain was chosen at a time when Las Vegas was a small anonymous town. It is downright foolish, shortsighted and dangerous to risk a nuclear disaster near any booming metropolis- let alone America's fastest growing city and the "Tourist Capital of the World."

STRONG on national defense and war on terror.
*Support our troops with the best weapons, protective body and vehicle armor.
*Illegal Immigration- I support securing our borders. We must first secure our borders to control the entry into our country of foreigners who pose a threat to the security, health, property or economic well-being of Americans. We must secure our bordersbefore we can deal with the issue of how to deal with illegal immigrants already in our country.
*I support making it easier for LEGAL immigrants with education & high tech skills to work legally in the USA.
*I oppose public ******* and entitlements for illegal aliens.
*But I support providing a "Path to Citizenship" for 12 to 15 million illegal immigrants already here. Make it strict, difficult, and expensive- award citizenship only to those with no criminal record; who have proof of paid taxes; who learn mastery of the English language and American history; and who agree to pay a steep fine.

    The WAR in Iraq:
*Republicans say "stay forever" (or 100 years as John McCain predicted). Wrong answer. Democrats say "Go right now." Wrong answer. It is a much more complicated issue than that. I believe the answer must involve a combination of nuance, compromise and common-sense.
*Admit the Iraq war is a disaster.
*Admit post-war planning was a disaster.
*Admit it's a civil war in Iraq- and our boys do not belong in the middle of a civil war. Our troops are not policeman.
*Use the success of the surge to declare victory and make plans to get out of Iraq as soon as reasonably possible.

*Learn the lesson that "Nation Building" is a failure of epic proportions- we are not the world's policeman. We do not have the right to stuff our beliefs of Democracy down the throats of other countries around the globe. Even if we did, Iraq proves we cannot afford it.

*One more lesson: Government wastes money. Government by its nature is corrupt. The military-industrial complex wants to expand government to increase its power and influence. We need strict oversight over defense contractors and private companies like Haliburton and Blackwater. Even during a time of war, I do not find it acceptable to allow our tax dollars to be wasted, or American taxpayers to be taken advantage of. Corporate welfare and waste is just as bad (and expensive) as welfare and entitlements for private citizens.

*Let's keep our military and national defense strong. One way to ensure this is to dramatically reduce foreign aid (especially to our enemies) and foreign military bases across the globe.

*It is time for South Korea, Japan and Western Europe to take responsibility (and pay) for their own national defense.

*Let's use the savings from these cuts in defense spending to increase the pay of our courageous U.S. military personnel.

"The legacy I want to leave is simple and straight-forward. I want to be known as the man who took the power away from the government and gave it back to the people. Who cut government down to size. Who took the side of the individuals versus government. Who let the taxpayers keep more of their own money. Who rewarded the people that produced all the wealth, started the businesses, took the risks, created the jobs, made the payrolls, and paid the taxes. Who cared about the rights, freedoms and liberty of the people. Who protected the constitution. Who made all Americans, Libertarians."

*But I support providing a "Path to Citizenship" for 12 to 15 million illegal immigrants already here. and just WHO?WHAT is the final AUTHORITY on cause and effect!? if we consider what is the current trend in cause and effect now, what is the proper and incorruptible course of action to take to implement it's relacement!? and what is the PRE-emptive proof of it's success!? and when i say pre-emptive proof,i mean any reason cause for dissent! any dissent must be delt with severely or it threatens the initial CAUSE!? then where are we!? better off!? :freak3:
