    Sandy Grey Timeshare Crook

It has been reported that the C.E.O (Sandy Grey) of the Timeshare Consumers Association (goverment approved company) has been taking some form of financial backing from some timeshare resell companies in the UK. What will the OFT make of it or do they already know?.

Timeshare Now Inc Telemarketing Co. Shut Down By Feds! Exclusive Footage of The Raid

That's right! You guess it. Another telemarketing company busted by the feds and this time it's caught on video.

Timeshare Now, Inc. in Clearwater, Florida (hmmmmmmmm. Seems to be a pattern these days in that city) sold advertising packages to timeshare owners who wanted to sell. The company had only 20 employees working the phones. The owner had no license, no comment and apparently no company to operate anymore. He also owns a second business that sold software, it to was unlicensed.

Can we call these people DUMBASSES!!

Anyway, ABC Action News reporter Jackie Calloway has a segment named, "Call to Action". It is part of a nationwide program to help consumers fight fraud.

If you want to see the EXCLUSIVE footage of Timeshare Inc. being raided by the feds, just click below. Then look for the the date 7/27/06 "Telemarketing Company Busted" and click on that. The video will pop up shortly.

It just seems to me Clearwater, Florida has a problem lately with illegal telemarketing companies operating there. If you get an unsolicited call for anything being sold over the phone, make sure you check them out on the internet first before giving your business to them. Start by Googleling their name b/c it's a great place to start, then go from there.

    Hope this helps.

    Re: Timeshare Consumers Association

No way is it just one person or one case. All Timeshares are scams. There are people who like theirs, but that's because they haven't tried getting out of one yet. Between payments, maintenance fees, taxes, and a variety of hidden costs, you're best off trying to dump it as soon as you can. The problem there is that everyone is selling and nobody is buying -- except for the next round of suckers who are being hassled and pressured during a "timeshare vacation presentation," or other such tripe. Do I sound bitter? That's because I am. After seven years of paying way too much for something I used only twice (and it really wasn't great either of those times, either), and after trying and failing to sell mine for the past two years (I was just throwing even more money away), I had to pay TimeShare Relief to take it off my hands. This itself sounds suspicious -- paying someone to take your "property"? -- but I was so desperate that I couldn't afford *not* to get out of the worst investment I ever made, by any means necessary. Sorry I'm ranting here, but I can't warn away people enough: DON'T buy a timeshare! And if you have one, GET RID OF IT however you can! Marco.

    Re: Timeshare Consumers Association

You're not ranting hon. My husband and I wasted years of our lives dealing with bad to worse timeshare deals. Yes, we were young and foolish once. Fools and their money are soon parted as they say. We have one left (of three.) Timeshare Relief took two off our hands. Our last, the crown jewel of our timeshare empire:rolleyes:, we're trying to liquidate on our own. We'll see. TSR might be getting another call soon.
No one listens to old ladies but I insist that the timeshare industry needs a good house cleaning. TSR has got a good broom and timeshare folks don't like it.

HI there. I was a scammed by this company. Just wondering if anyone else out there was and if they have tried to get their money back? Thanks, for the information. I am hoping it will be helpful in getting my credit card company to give me my money back. Thanks again.

    Re: Timeshare Consumers Association

BobbyV's original post on this thread is either malicious or sick. Presumably he works for a dishonest timeshare operation. The Daily Mirror has not said anything of the kind. There is no such quote. OTE has not taken the action referred to. There has been no report on Watchdog criticising either Sandy Grey or the TCA.

TCA is not a government or government sponsored site. Why is this thread here?

    Timeshare Resale Scams

I, like many others have fallen victim of scammers calling by phone to get you to use their services to sell or rent your timeshare. Be forewarned that their only interest is in how much money they can get from you. Be especially leary of operations from Nevada and Florida as those states are more lienent towards these operations. They can be very persuasive and have all the answers but are extremely deceptive. They also have websites for which they will provide links that are basically there only to give the impression that they are legit. They're not. At least the ones that have approached me. Costs for selling your timeshare range from $299.00 to $1500.00 with no guarantee. Basically, all they do is charge you an advertising fee for putting your timeshare on their website. Chances of it being sold from there are zilch to none. There may be thousands of victim's timeshares listed on their site so what's the chance of yours being picked up. You got it. Zilch to none. Even though they might say so, they don't actively sell your unit. Also be aware if they offer a money back guarantee. Be sure to read the fine print. They have no intentions to return your fee. They make it very difficult to get your money back such as totally complying with their conditions or your out of luck. If you have a 90 day money back guarantee, forget it. They'll close their doors before then. Do not deal with Timestar Marketing, Timeshare FSBO (For Sale By Owner), Resort Property Specialists (RPS), Resorts To Us. They all have websites you can check out. They are not reputable. If you have fallen victim to these scammers, you may be able to get your miney back if you paid using your charge card. Contact Billing Disputes for instructions. Get in touch should you like more information.
    Annoyed.

    Timeshare scams

Beware of a company called timeshareonly.com. I paid $500 to that company 7 months ago to resell my timeshare and till now, no one ever called me back.
No offers, no communication, no emails, no phone calls. Nada.
They entice you promising to resell your timeshare for a great and unrealistic price. Once you pay the $500 fee, they will never call you back.
    What a bunch of thieves!

Re: Timeshare Now Inc Telemarketing Co. Shut Down By Feds! Exclusive Footage of The Raid

Timeshare Now is now operated as Condo Exchange, Inc. They have done one thing right this time, they are licensed. They are still ripping people off by reading people the same script . The only thing thats different is the company name. They are still promising to sell/rent your timeshare knowing fully that they are internet advertising. Dont trust these people, they will take your money because there reps work off of commission (even tho they tell you there are no commissions or broker fees). Be careful!!! Once you purchase they will give you the run around just like they did to me. Every time I call they tell me the person I want to speak with is on the phone or not in the office. Kinda convenient huh??

    Timeshare Scams

Can't believe there's no timeshare scam threads when there's so many crooks in the business.

Anyone who was crazy enough to buy a timeshare wants to sell it. I was called by a "Resort Locator" and offered a lot of money for my time share. The documents even looked legitimate when they emailed them to me.

I only realized I was getting scammed when I was told the company would do the title search, only I had to pay for it first. I was then asked to go to the local Wal-Mart and wire money to a Keshonda, in FL (the company I was talking with was in NV).

Nothing at the BBB about the company, only a couple of requests for info suspecting a scam at redweek.com ( a timeshare group). Just wanted this out there for the record.

There's no easy ways out of a timeshare unfortunately.

    Timeshare Scam ?

Hi there, has anyone heard of Global Reservation Services? Here in the UK people are getting calls of them offering to buy their timeshare. But they want money upfront. (1300 Euros) It sounds like a scam and they appear to be based in US. Any help appreciated.
