    Re: Clinton's Accomplishments

Looking at my earnings and life in general, I got more from Clinton then I did under any Republican before or since. There was the education tax credit, sweet, very sweet, the Family Medical Leave Act which fixed my arm and kept me productive, and getting in on the tail end of the dot-com before it bombed.

Like how everyone seems to like to label insurgents in Iraq as "terrorists." Even though they aren't.

You're correct... most of the "Insurgents" are Sunni Muslims.
Someone commented on one of the threads that by our going into Iraq
that we created a civil war there. little do they know that that strife
has been going on between the Sunnis and Sheites for centuries. Also,
the Kurds are sandwiched in between.
Any "terrorist" that are coming there are splinter groups from Al Quidea
that are opportunist. They are itching to prosecute their action thre
to stay in shape and learn new tactics so when they come here to
the U.S.A. in force they can use this training, experience here.
And... they will eventually be here. Some are aleady, in case anyone
hasn't notice how very simple it is to slip across the Mexican/U.S.
border. And many of them look like Mexicans, as well.

You couldn't pay me to live over by smog filled, crowded Dallas. Nope, I moved here after years in the mountains of Colorado and beautiful country. But I was raised in Los Angeles, and that's what Dallas reminds me of.

I live further east, where there are trees. And you have nothing to worry about, I probably wouldn't be interested in any tack or farm goods from your little business anyway, or do you run a bait store? And I probably make more in the two hours a day that I call "working" than your business makes in an entire day. I don't need to spend that much time on here dealing with neocons. You are all quite simple to deal with.

You are right, don't go into politics. We simply don't need a station wagon mom actually in office. Go back to mucking out the stalls.

You must be a Redneck. I've been in Texas 25 years, I haven't seen the kind of attitude you are displaying as something that is pervasive throughout the state.

Gore also went to Viet Nam, which is a helluva lot more than you can say for The Flying Monkey and his coterie of war mongering pals like "Chicken" Cheney, "Porky" Perle et al. I loathe and disdain self possessed cowards and arrogant bullies like Bush and Cheney. If Bush had any character, he would just resign now. Too bad he never had to hold down a real job, though. It might have prepared him to handle responsibility. If it weren't for "Poppy", he'd likely be pouring slushies or slinging pizzas at a 7/11 somewhere in Midland.

    Re: Clinton's Accomplishments

Bush did a terrible job while in Texas so I don't know why they love him so much there. I still can't understand the demagogue maniacal following of people that he seems to have.

You know anyone can defend their state as being great, and all states of this union have good, decent, hard-working people in them. I live in Florida myself and am sickened by Joseph Smith, who by the way was convicted of all 3 counts today. I say draw and quarter him in public. And I have liberal views myself.

On a Mission, I think its great that you love the state you live in. Just accept that fact that a lot of people don't much appreciate that whole arrogant Texan attitude. A lot of the world actually, but you can't please everyone.

You seem to take some of the comments on these boards pretty personally, so you probably wouldn't do very well in politics. I know I wouldn't be in politics if it was the last job on Earth because I like that whole right to privacy idea. I wouldn't want my life picked apart for the world to see. Too many skeletons in my closet for that.

Back to the point of this thread. I would whole heartedly prefer Clinton back to what we have now. I, living near Macdill AFB, live with this constant niggling worry that my state will be attacked. There was always that danger, but stirring up the hornet's nest in the Middle East sure didn't help it in my opinion. I worry about my retirement, and the economy my children will inherit thanks to the irresponsible fiscal policy of late. I despair that years and years of environmental legislation that, although maybe not perfect in its application, had high hopes to preserve some form of natural world for my children and their children has been steadily dismantled in the last 5 years and will continue to be dismantled until there may be no environmental protection left.

Everything I value is being sent to hell with this administration. I would welcome Clinton getting serviced on national TV in front of the UN to this sad state.

Well at least you might think I am a fine person and parent...that is the nicest thing anyone has said to me on scam.com ....
I am not on edge at all. I do not like Texas...I love Texas. You know I was thinking of running for a public office but all that know me say....they will eat you up. That is, I am not "political" in thought or theory. I am cut and dry or black or white. You either do something and stick with it or the opposite. Something is completely wrong or right. I would not play games or "rub anyone's back" to get something.

I wish for our country...for all the younger people to be taught a work ethic and compassion for others but most of all, accountability. Believe me, I played hard in my twenties and do not regret a thing in my life because that is part of who I am. Our country is giving jobs to foreign countries and that is a tragic thing. We need to take of our own FIRST. I am not interested in helping (monetarily) any country until everyone in this country is OK...ie the poverty in this country, the foster care problems, teenage pregnancies, need for jobs, getting people educated etc..... if everyone would, instead of always talking about what SHOULD be done and what GEE DUB is not doing, take care of some things on their own. I mean, volunteer somewhere. I know that sounds...corny.....but, I just started, in the last ten years, thinking about what all I can do to help others. We all want to get ahead in life and have the most money, best cars, nicest houses, etc... I am guilty of that too because I was sure I was going to win the Mega Lottery the other night and the first thing I would buy would have been an Aston Martin (250K)..why in the world would I want an Aston Martin? and what would I do with it? I don't even speed...but I might with that car!
I am just saying...I would like to get into politics but it is a ruthless job and I am not power hungry...I am goal oriented and community minded...

I will not change my position on Clinton or his wife...or GEE DUB, as you say. ...we have to agree to disagree

"W" doesn't make me happy all the time either....I am not happy with the Mexico stuff...but how can you be happy with someone ALL of the time. I want a consumption tax....I would like to do away with IRS....and I would chop the whole government Federal and State in half.....

I have studied Organized Crime in college and our government straight through both sides, I am afraid, is full of Organized Crime and Corruption. So what do we all expect. I expect INTEGRITY....but I am sure I will be let down.

    "Lit up cancer sticks"...yikes.
It is curious that the "crime gang" so far has racked up two indictments, both of which were OBVIOUS political lynchings and will be tossed, and NO convictions. "Imagine if hillar-"...HUH? Maybe a quick peek into the past of the clintons might give you a shred of perspective about actual criminal conspiracies.

Or are you dchristie just sitting around trying to act like Socrates with your thesaurus???? That is sad. Life in Texas is wonderful. Our neighbors are all our friends and everywhere we go..you get a handshake or a wave or a smile. Stay where you at...because you are not wanted here anyway. What is funny is you probably live in Texas. Where we live.....in Eastern Texas ...aka Redneckville (ha!)....we are armed, we hunt, we fish, we grow our own food and we are all stick together. We are edumicated too! Ha. We also put people to death in this state..as widely televised....and we are proud of it. You commit a capital crime and you will die in Texas. While living in Dallas, I witnessed the murder of a friend (in an armed robbery)....the man killed an innocent 15 year old girl because he needed 1500$ to get high....I am sure her mother, father and sistes would have let him have everything they had to have her here today. Maybe she would have had grandchildren for them...who knows...but that is why Texans believe in the death penalty. Try watching the Joe Smith trial on court TV this week and watch what a man can do to a child and leave her in the woods naked after sexually abusing her and strangling her...I guess we should spare him?? His life has MEANING...doesn't it.

As far as my parenting, I am an open parent and very involved in everything my children do. I would only hope that all parents could be as involved as we are. My children are happy, healthy, smart, and active in all sports. We play every sport imaginable. My children will not discuss oral sex at 6 years old and if you are suggesting that that is the time...YOU have the problem and maybe you are a pedophile yourself...maybe you need to contemplate that one!
    .....
It sure got a BURR up your butt didn't it? Touchy, touchy. Why don't you turn off the television and go live your life, you'll be much happier and a lot less gullible.
