Re: Snow--Snow--Snow

Old timer....can you spare some of your fur....It really cold here...Ice is still spittin. It literally looks like the city decided to just develop a ice skating rink. My door mat has so much ice on it...it looks like we just painted a door mat on the step. Hubby is still out.....cant say as much for the city crews... I havent seen a salt truck all day. I guess instead of snow boots this year my kids need ice skates.

Well I guess that I really can't complain to much about the moisture. We have been under some rather extreme bad drought conditions off and on for the last 8 or 9 years and we really can use any and all water we can get. I have seen some of our lakes and resovoirs less than half full and that is not a good thing. Several years ago we had a forest fire (the Green Knoll Fire) about a mile or so from where I live as the crow flies. We used to sit out on the porch at night and watch the trees on the mountain burn. They were able to stop it about a half a mile from our neighboring town of Wilson. If it would have reached that area it would have been able to go into some very rough mountain terrain and would have been almost unstopable. Best of luck with the rain and freezing rain. Stay safe please.

Here is a link for the weather in any area. Just click on your state near your town and then on your town and it will give you a really great report. That is if you don't already have it.

Well I looked outside this morning and it was still snowing (again). We are under another winter storm warning and supposed to get at least 10 more inches of that white stuff by night time today. 90% chance of more tomorow. Well back to shoveling today.
