Association of Animal Behavior, James O'Heare Scam

The International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants and the Association of Animal Behavior Professionals were founded by Lynn Hoover, a marriage counselor and James O'Heare, a well know scammer from Canada who fabricates fake degrees and certifications. This individual sells online courses to dog trainers and constantly changes the names of his schools and organizations (see Cynology College Scam). There is no telephone number to contact these organizations and the address listed for the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants belongs to the American Subcontractors Association!!

In a desperate attempt to play scientist, some dog trainers decided to create their own organizations based on lies and deceit and the general public should be aware that individuals claiming to be certified by these organizations are not truly qualified to manage animal behavior problems. Most of the members of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants claim to be "clinical" professionals while in reality they don't even possess a basic science academic background. If an individual holds a minimum of a Master's degree, she/ he can apply with the Animal Behavior Society for certification so there is no need to belong to these fake online associations. The only recognized organization in United States for animal behavior consultants is the Animal Behavior Society.

In addition, the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT) are well aware of who James O'Heare is and what he has done, however, as of today, the have done nothing to ban this individual from their organizations. This clearly demonstrates their lack of ethical standards.

Other scam websites created by James O'Heare include:

-International Institute for Applied Companion Animal Behavior

-International Dog Sport Coaches Association

-Association of Animal Behavior Professionals

-Companion Animal Sciences Institute

-Cynology College

-Vegan Dog Nutrition Association

Don't get scammed! James only holds diplomas from online schools...think about it...

I forgot to mention that if you have a problem with an individual claiming to be certified by these organizations, you can file a claim with the Federal Trade Commission Consumer Protection.
