WE don't know if your people search site is a scam or not.. you tell us. Either way, this isn't the place to advertise it.

Re: acme people search
So you post your OWN site asking if it's a scam but you weren't trying to advertise? Guess you will have to explain yourself better.. I don't get it.

The only reason I registered here is so that I could reply to your response to ladybrock. You are extremely rude! I very much doubt she was trying to advertise here. It was the way she thought she'd be able to find out if it was a scam or not. I myself would like to know if it was a scam or not because I also went through all of the steps, and who knows, I may have done the same thing she did.

Re: acme people search
I spent some time looking into Tissa a few weeks back.
The program is not a "scam," but you will need a creative edge and you will need to do a lot of work to drive traffic to your site.
If you are an inexperienced marketer, you may be waiting a while before you are able to make/see a return. Not saying you can't do it - just saying you will have to work for it. Don't expect to slap up your search page and everyone to just find it.
On the flip side, from where I have seen Tissa on the web all is very reputable, as seen in the post above. I do not know Tissa personally, these are just my impressions from the research I did.
Anyway, that is my 2 cents.
I need to add, it is recommended that you research the program before buying into it. Google has made it way too easy to look these things up before you buy. An hour of research into any program (no, not it's sales page) can save you weeks of work and frustration. And any program where the owner of the program is not willing to personally attend to the affiliates in some manor is just not worth it imho.

This the example of the responsible owner and always monitored all the matters that were linked with the program that was owned. beginning with all the activities in this program up to opinions that could drop the program that was held.

Hello Ladybrock,
Sorry your first experience here was not so pleasant. If you are a new member of scam.com it's possible you didnt read the rules which state not to post links in our posts because that is the same as promoting that website and that is not allowed at scam.com
I have a feeling you are new here, just from what you wrote and your responses.
I think katiescorner's response to you was a bit harsh....but for members who have been here a long time (like katiescorner) they know that sometimes people try to sign up on here using different identities in order to promote websites they are trying to get customers for and that they arent really interesting in this forum.
I think that is why you got the harsh reply...she was probably suspicious of you since your ID was new here.
Katiescorner said you were advertising because on here by posting a link ere you are promoting/advertising it.
I think that's where the confusion was for you.
I hope you will still participate in this forum but just be aware that there are quite a few harsh/rude dialogs that go on here between people. Just try to ignore that.
Anyway, I signed up for Acme People Search website program with Tissa a few weeks ago. It seems legit to me, just takes time to get traffic to your site.....but so far my experience with it has been fine.
Now I just need to learn more about getting traffic to my site !
Wishing you all the best,
Millet

Can someone please explain to me how this system you are talking about works? I just don't get it. I have looked at their website information and I don't see a clear explanation of how this makes money and if it is safe. Please advise. Thank you very much.

Re: acme people search
I am a active member of the Acme People Search Program and here is my actual experience.
I worked my butt off for this program. When I signed up it sounded wonderful. It incorporated my GDI business - It incorporated ClickBank & NetDetective & Reunion.
It offered up to $30 per referral -
Here is what happened in my case:
I spent Several hundred dollars advertising both the People Search Engine AND the referral program. I advertised the "tissa" page exclusively for referrals.
I earned over $1,200 in 1 month.
I didn't get paid on the 14th. Waited a few days and was told that my 2nd and 3rd level referral rating was poor - hence, I would not be paid until they were "okay", which is 50%.
I waited a few more days, kind of steaming to be honest. I responded again - Along the lines of basically "I pay for top quality advertising and I believe it's the PROGRAMS job to convert." - I reference Google's advertising policy that they don't guarantee signups etc.
Here is the thing, in my experience - I can't even get 1/2 of the people I refer to do anything with FREE Programs.
It costs $60 to get hosting for a people search engine - It costs another $30 for the monthly advertising. I am told that using GDI for hosting is possible, although this is FAR from outlined in a clear manner - Obviously I would have used my existing GDI hosting rather than pay $60 for hosting somewhere else.
When you complete the signups though, you get $125 bonus - It also has a very low $200 minimum cashout.
However, I was told that it was my job to presell my visitors on the importance of completing 3 steps (even though I was advertising the program page)
In my opinion, an affiliate either earns referral money or he doesn't. I spent a lot of time, money and effort getting signups for this program. I did a good job, in my opinion.
However, I do know that people seeking online businesses will often start anything and everything - Rarely do very many of them complete a task - Why should they, when it is so easy just to click on the next promise of instant wealth with no effort?
that's 1 reason 97% of us fail at online marketing.
As of now, I feel like I would be throwing good money after bad if I continue promoting this program. I don't feel it is my job to convert people - I have been told that his best converting affiliates are able to do so - Guess what? There are Clickbank affiliates who also make Thousands of dollars every month - There are what I like to call the "Cream" of the crop of affiliate marketers that really do have things down - They KNOW how to convert and make money...
guess what? That encompasses roughly 3% of the online marketing world - so what do the other 97% of us do? We STRUGGLE -
I don't believe this program is good at all for internet beginners - I have been in online marketing since February 2008. I've had success with several programs. Despite getting lots of signups, I couldn't get these "conversions" that were required.
And the fact is that w/out the conversions, the program doesn't pay well.
I also had 13 GDI "signups" through my efforts - Not 1 of those members are on my GDI team - All my GDI members were acquired through my other marketing efforts - This isn't to say that i KNOW something is going on, because it is possible those 13 people were already GDI members -
All I know is I paid top dollar and advertised the Tissa page exclusively.
Right now I'm sitting on over $600 of "earned" referral money that I haven't been paid due to 2nd and 3rd level conversions.
It is frustrating to me - I don't believe that the program is explained well - I don't think the referral payment structure is fair and I don't believe you should HAVE to be a Superstar online marketer in order to have success.
The fact is that Tissa has his referral links all over the place with this program. I would better understand if the referral payments were less, w/out the requirements of 2nd and 3rd level completions. Or if it was better explained that using GDI as hosting is an option.
I believe the sales page should simply state that "completing all 3 steps earns you a $125 sign up bonus" - Or "complete all 3 steps and get bonus of $125" - This is how Affiliate Junktion advertises - I get TONS of signups with them and that program isn't "free" - It's only "free" because AFTER you buy hosting, you get that bonus (which is much harder to earn - you have to get to $200 minimum to cashout anything)
So at this point, I don't see any reward in continuing with Acme. I am having some good success myself, and I am a decent online marketer. But this program is difficult for me -
I will also leave my name here - I have nothing to hide. I have tried to talk to Tissa on a few occassions and what I get back is "tell people the importance of completing steps 2 & 3" - So I have to be an expert online marketer, AND a writing genius???
It's a little more than should be expected of an affiliate, in my opinion.
You either earn the referral money or you don't -
Wishing you the best -

Re: acme people search
Thank you for the followup - I want to make clear (to everyone) that I NEVER said I was scammed in any way shape or form.
I know I wasn't scammed - I knew what the terms of the referral agreement are.
It seemed to me that this forum, in particular this topic, was for people interested in hearing experiences with Acme Affiliate Program. My position was simply that it was not easy for beginning affiliates to succeed with.
I was not trying to blast you or your program. I was just giving my experience. I believe my "review" was fair. I didn't think it was a good program for beginners to succeed with - based on the fact that I am at least an intermediate online marketer who cannot succeed with it.
That was all - It is frustrating, but I was trying to be as fair as possible and give my experience.
I appreciated all the responses I got from Tissa, despite the resolution not being what I wanted to hear.
In my opinion, it's very difficult for avg or beginner marketers to have success. That was all -
I'm glad you are actively following this topic. I know you are a VERY honest (and brilliant) online marketer.
I was just giving my experiences with it. I have had success with other programs simply because I get paid for signups (regardless of what they do afterwards)
I hope that is a fair understanding of my previous response. I didn't leave one of those stupid "he's a x#$%" responses - I left all my info -
Thanks again for your followup -
Paul

Re: acme people search
I did my research of the company and here are my findings:
Tissa the owner first steers you to sign up at three affiliate programs (where he will most likely get a percentage for every one of your hard earned sales).
But here's the clincher, he then steers you to a web host where you must purchase a domain name and subscribe to their svc. In his FAQs he cleverly tries to justify it by saying his ingenious "niche" search engine is only compatible with that web host (That web host just so happens to have their own affiliate program that pays affiliates $100 for every person they send over to sign up). Don't be stupid people, most programs should adapt to any web host, and most web hosts have teams to help the tech challenged set up their websites.
I say skip this program and do a little research on the best affilliates to work with. If you're sold on his "niche" people search, go find the ones that give the best commission and buy your own ads. That's what Google's for. Why give a big portion of your earnings to a middle man who's figured out the system?

Re: acme people search
Tissa sure knows how to talk in circles.
He's very persuasive in making people pay almost $200 for his "preferred" webhosting to make a big fat commission.
Trust me people, any program can work with most servers. Don't let dreams of wealth blind you into giving up your money.
I say start a blog and post affiliate banner and word ads on your page. Actually, look around at all the "Affiliate Advice" pages. They're jam packed with affiliate links. Study those and make a similar page. Tissa sure did.
Copy those pages and you can be the big fat middle man. Good luck.

Re: acme people search
Hello to all,
Just have a quick question regarding the advertising....
I noticed that at the start of this thread there must have been a link to some website that was then removed. It showed no advertising!
If there is a policy to disallow advertising, which is fine from my point of view, then why are links allowed in the signature portion of a message? This occurs all over the forums.
Just curious.

Links are allowed in your signature. A big no-no is posting to your own website or putting a referral link in your post.
I'm not sure about referral links in your signature. But, I don't believe that is allowed either.

Okay, I see guys like this Watchdog all over the internet. I don't know what is wrong with these people - I already stated all my experience from a personal perspective with the Acme People Search program.
This guy is simply stating things that are not true -
$200? Where do you get this number?!?!?! I paid $60 for a year of hosting. There is another option to join GDI at $10 each month - but that is also a Business OPPORTUNITY
I've learned a lot in 10 months online. I never could figure out where these bitter people come from though - My best guess is that they must feel "Scammed" Because they signed up for someones affiliate program and thought they would be rich overnight - then it didn't happen and they cry SCAM - at everything
There are ways to make money online - It takes effort and resources though. If you don't understand that, then you will probably be part of the 97% of online marketers who make under $10/week...
If you want "Free", then do pay to read emails. I think if you work your BUTT off you can make about $6/hour doing those...Or try surveys - I spent about 100 hours doing those and never made even 1 penny (and I had to pay $35 to do it!)
This watchdog has Zero facts and is just trying to trash an affiliate program.
All affiliate programs are based on 1 thing - SOMEONE MAKING MONEY!
Not sure what is so hard to understand about that.

Tissa Godavitarne Scam(ACME PEOPLE SEARCH ENGINE)
hello all internet marketer,
I throw this thread because i got scammed. Recently, I joined GDI by the top 3 performer(Tissa Godavitarne)'s PEOPLE SEARCH ENGINE. That program is divide two parts. the first part is people search-- You join the program and hosted the people search engine on your website, then you advertise, when somebody use your people search engine to search and get the search result, you got paid by clickbank, HD publishing and reunion. Tissa will provide first 30 days free advertising on google, yahoo and MSN (100 click of PPC campaign). (i can Not made even one sales in the first month).
The second part is referral program---you advertise and drive people to be the affiliate by your referral link. In the registration, it has 3 steps at all. First step, you register to be affiliate of clickbank, hd publishing and reunion. that is no problem at all. Second step, you have to host the people search engine on your own website. It generally will tell you the people search engine system just support two hosting company like GDI or the other one(i forget the name). this step is push your referral to join one of them, (it actually just have GDI to choose before, I don’t know why he suddenly add one more, it is not fair to the member joined before because just GDI has residual income opportunity. if somebody join the other one (just half price of gdi monthly fee), we will lose this part of income(gdi's residual income for life). Third step, you register the free advertising, it says the first 30 days is absolutely free, then $29.95 every 30 days. These all three steps are completed. (P.S. He personally offer his own referral program, the program is like that you will have $125 starting bonus, plus you will earn $30 per person you refer(complete all three step registration--step 1 you will have $5 if your referral stay 30 days, step 2 you will have $10 if your referral stay 45 days, step 3 you will have another $15 if your referral stay more than 65 days )
Then what is the problem or/and scam you will encounter? there are two ways, Firstly, most of people join this program is that they want grow their GDI's downline like Tissa Godavitarne. but i can tell you all you can NOT grow your downline at all because you are selling people search engine, when people jump to step 2, most of them will NOT continue the tour, so you can NOT have any gdi downline or maybe just 1 or 2(i am not sure but I do NOT have even one downline of gdi). Can you imagine the situation? You just watch Tissa collect his weekly bonus($100 every 5 people you refer to GDI in one week and so on). That is talking about $1000, $2000 or sometime more than that amount, but you can NOT successfully refer even one referral to be your GDI downline. GDI's Main thinking (theory) is that you make money when you help your downline make money. In my opinion, Tissa just want that weekly bonus and people want to follow his way to make money, then join his system. But that system does NOT working. (at least to refer somebody to be your downline). I don’t know how many people on GDI's leaderboard is use his system to grow their GDI business!!! Secondly, remember his own referral program?? i believe most of affiliate will NOT continue the step 3 after the free 30 days advertising because it does not work at all. Actually it can drive traffic to your people search engine but I can not see any need that he mentioned. I just can't close even one sales, a lot of people is not willing to pay for the people search result(phone number, address. etc.) The problem is that if you cancel the subscription of step 3(you denied start to pay Tissa 29.95 per 30 days) just will lose $10 of the total $30 on referral fee(he will not pay you the $10 of Step 2 as penalty). you will just have $20 total. but remember what the program is? most of people will not continue to pay $29.95 in order to continue the step 3, so you will not get the step 3's referral commission of $15, finally, you just have $5 per person you refer at all. But wait!!! according to his terms and conditions he change on Nov 28,2008, he will reserve 80% of your referral commission until all the three step rate good or great( is percentage thing at the bottom of each step in the referral chart). You can imagine any one of step rate POOR (around 20% of all), he will reserve you commission. Remember most of people will not continue step 3(paying step), so your rating in step 3 is 100% will be POOR. I meant you will not able to get his commission at all.( the terms and conditions is he will reserve 80% of commission when both step 2 and step 3 is rate POOR) Plus, remember the $125 starting bonus? you can take out the money when your balance is hit $200. In the other words, you just have one-fifth income after 100% effort. Wow what a SCAM! What a successful SCAM on the internet!---- Mr. Tissa Godavitarne.
P.S. His people search system is ACME PEOPLE SEARCH. Beware!!!!

Re: Tissa Godavitarne Scam(ACME PEOPLE SEARCH ENGI
Hello,
I really feel the need to reply to this post. First, much of the information presented about Tissa's "People Search" program was simply not accurate.
Second, I have been involved with Tissa's program since August. While I have not done well with the commissions part, I know people who have done quite well. Also, I personally have done very well with the referral part of the program. I have made just over $500 in the 4 months I have been involved and have had NO money held in reserve.
Finally, I may be wrong, but I got the feeling from reading the post that this person thinks a program like Tissa's is supposed to be a "just join and sit back and watch the money come in" type of program. That type of program does not exist! That type of program "IS" a scam! Tissa's program is definitely NOT a scam in my opinion.
And one more thing: Do I care what bonuses or overrides Tissa mkes as a result of my being involved in his program? Of course not. What does that have to do with me making money? Nothing! And, by the way, I have had several people join GDI from my search engine. I have already received my first check from GDI and my downline is building quite nicely.
I really don't see how anyone can think Tissa's program is a scam. It clearly is NOT!!
Blessings,
Mark

Happy Holidays to Everyone. I am here to let all know that neither Tissa Godavitarne nor his Acme People Search Engine is anything RELEVANT to a Scam. Nothing could be further from the TRUTH of what Tissa is all about and his Excellent Program. Let me give a little history on how I got started with Tissa and Acme People Search. In April of this year(2008) I was searching for an Online Business to help create some more income for my Wife and I. I came across Tissa's program and his story of how he started or devolped his program. He had a telephone number posted on his page and a 1099 showing his earnings from ONE of his Affilate Programs with very impressive earnings. Now this was the first time that I had anyone actually show a 1099 form online. You come across a lot of programs that people show their Clickbank screenshots and what not but they do not give out their phone number and I sure they do not give out their Office address inviting Affiliates to stop by for an Open house. After I read his page with the picture of his house he has bought with nothing but Affiliate Commissions I got started right away and as promised within my first 30 days I got 100 FREE SEARCHES on my Search Engine not just visits where someone views the page and then leaves but actual searches that gives you a chance to "Make Money" from Affiliate Commissions. That is what we all want correct? A Legit Program where you can actually Make Money. Well I have received checks from all the ways you can make money with Tissa's program.
These are:
Clickbank
HD Publishing
GDI
Reunion
His Refferal Program(Actually paid by Paypal)
Adsense-I have not received money from yet because I have not finished all my steps with Adsense to get paid:)
Tissa's Refferal Program pays you when you bring in new people to sign up to get their own Niche Search Engine just like you have. You will Automatically without doing any work or advertising on your own have $125 dollars pending commission to you. This is actual Free Money folks. You will have to bring in some Referrals on your own till you reach a threshold of $200. Then Tissa will pay you $200 to YOUR Paypal account. So you just got paid $200 for bringing in $75 dollars. Umm......that is Extremely Fair and Great.
Now when you use Tissa's refferal program you will also have the opportunity to build your GDI downline. GDI/Global Domains International/Website.ws......has been around since 1999. This is one option on Step 2 for people to get the domain name they will need to have there own People Search Engine. This is another way for you to build another Residual Income Stream for yourself.
Now Tissa's Program gives you SIX(6) different Income Streams and truly does work. I am living proof along with many other of his Affiliates.
Now as Great and exciting as all of this is what is even better is that Tissa makes himself available via phone or an office visit when he is doing Open Houses or through his support ticket system in YOUR back office to make sure that you can be succesful in this business. He is not some invisible GURU who no one has Access to. He is available to help you and me to be succesful Internet Marketers. But one thing is for sure is that YOU and ME have to be willing to get off of OUR butts and help ourselfs too. Learn what we need to do so OUR Online Business will be successful. Another thing I forgot to mention is that Tissa will follow-up with everyone who vists your site for up to one full year to ensure that we get the Ultimate chance to Make Money with his system.
In Conclusion to those of you who are looking for a A complete 100% LEGIT way to have an Online Business then do yourself a favor and get started with TISSA's PROGRAM and find out for YOURSELF how IT IS NOT A SCAM.

Re: Tissa Godavitarne Scam(ACME PEOPLE SEARCH ENGI
Well said Willystyle.
I too had joined Tissa's program back in July and have had nothing but success through this program and great appreciation for Tissa making it available. I had just started dipping in internet marketing in June of this year. This program helps push me along in internet marketing.
Here is some Udude facts:
Yes! - I did all 3 steps
Yes! - I did get enough referrals to get paid my $125 bonus.
Yes! - I am very pleased with this program
Yes! - I have been paid for my efforts promoting and referring every month since I've started.
Yes! - I am and will continue to promote and refer.
NO! - This program is not a scam!

Re: Tissa Godavitarne Scam(ACME PEOPLE SEARCH ENGI
ACME PEOPLE SEARCH ENGINE is a SCAM.
If you do not purchase, sign-up for everything they reffer you too you will not get any support or help. Your traffic that you paid for in your adwords campain will be redirected upto 65% so you pay 100% and lose 65% of your traffic!!!! well done Tissa and Trish,.
There sign-up pages and sales pages are relatively simple and fail to explain details that will affect you such as:
* If you do not use there links to buy your domain name and web host then you will not recieve support, help in any way, no advertising as promised... EVEN THOUGH THERE TERMS OF SERVICE SAYS YOU CAN USE ALTERNATIVE WEBHOSTS ETC THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU!
* They take along time to respond to your support requests, and then just repeat obvious statments like: You can still earn commisions just that only 35%of yourtraffic will be affilliated to you. Thanks for pointing out the obvious.
You will lose money if you invest in them as they expect you to sign up for expensive affilliates (There affililliates).
NOT A GOOD IDEA to affilliatise with them, more work than reward; Dont believe me, then look at the competition statistics for "People Search"...... millions and millions of competitors and websites...... you wil have to spend ludicrus amounts of money just to keep and get more traffic to pay the server, domain name, and advertising costs as PPC campains are expensive for very broad keyword terms such as this.......
Be WARNED, this simple idea is more time consuming and costly than they make out. To the people that have made money...... wow, how much work are you doing for it and after Tissa pays you $125 to join what is your money after that with the ongoing costs!?
DONT DO IT!

I've been with Tissa's Acme program for 6 months now. Took me a while to get the hang of the PPC thing, but so far I've made more money with his deal than I made in 6 years of trying all sorts of internet crap! Not a fortune, but enough profit to see that it's defintely NOT a scam. Is it easy? Of course not, you have to follow his steps and still work hard for yourself. Like the other guy said, programs that make easy money don't exist! Tissa's support has been awesome, he's replied personally to a lot of my tickets. It may not be easy, but I don't see how anyone could call his program a scam.

Re: Tissa Godavitarne Scam(ACME PEOPLE SEARCH ENGI
Look man,
sounds like your not doing great for the amount of work you have to put in. No I don't believe in get rich quick schemes but I do believe in honest claims and wording in the Terms Of Service.
I also expect that details which will be crucial in the start up of the "business" i.e web hosting be detailed enough for the client to make informed descisions on whether to buy the "recomended" products or get cheaper ones that you source yourself.
There are no definitions by acme, only sorry we cant (dont) want to help you emails, after you have invested the money
Once again people, you can make money, wether its a profit or loss, you have to budget against time you spend doing it and the amount of competition (millions for people search).
ITS A SCAM, BE WARNED and READ ALL THE STORIES ABOVE AND ALSO ON THE GOVERNMENT SCAM WEBSITES TOO.

Re: Tissa Godavitarne Scam(ACME PEOPLE SEARCH ENGI
hello,
Cohen here, Hey Mr. Tissa Godavitarne please DO NOT advertise for your meeting / stuff at SCAM.com. I DO believe this site is for people to beware of scam. Not advertise your stuff.
And fuco, thank you for your opinion. You just telling the truth out. I am here because I just want to tell people what i just tried and most important thing is the result of that. For this case, I just tried Tissa's people search program. and I threw this thread all depend on the fact. I just focus on the program, not anybody on the planet. Furthermore, for the above people(s) who stand by Tissa, I congratulate you all because you make money by Tissa's program, but one thing I want you guys to think about is that let the time judge it. Today you tell the world you make money by his program, that program is cool, but I want to ask you all how much time you spent? How much money you invest? you think you reach the promise as Tissa said , 3-5K extra money per month or you just spent 3-5k (maybe sometime lesser)to advertise your people search program? (I have made just over $500 in the 4 months I have been involved and have had NO money held in reserve.) from Mark Weaver.
thank you!

Re: Tissa Godavitarne Scam(ACME PEOPLE SEARCH ENGI
I truly just don't understand how anyone can call this a Scam. You can go to Tissa's Office and personally meet him and speak with him. If it was a Scam he would be hiding behind some fake name on the Internet and not putting his reputation on the line. I guess some people are just afraid of a little bit of work and trying to learn how to do Internet Marketing. So I guess you are stuck to blaming others for what is an opportunity.

Re: Tissa Godavitarne Scam(ACME PEOPLE SEARCH ENGI
This comment doesn't have to do with Tissa - it has to do with someone who says that a scammer would be hiding.
That's just plain not true. Some of the most notoriouis and BEST scammers do NOT hide at all and make themselves readily available.

Re: Tissa Godavitarne Scam(ACME PEOPLE SEARCH ENGI
I think if you guys are just getting your search engine set up and not even trying to promote it then of course you will earn no money. Try some search engine optimization, pay per click marketing, article marketing, etc. Get targeted traffic to your site and you will see a huge difference.
You can't rely on someone else to make you money, you have to take matters into your own hands.

Re: Tissa Godavitarne Scam(ACME PEOPLE SEARCH ENGI
Thanks for people pointing out the obvious in regards to making money by your own efforts..... ibw13; willystyle; Duh.....
The program is not a scam; In the original post I perceived it was not living up to its terms of service.....after I chose an alternative way to implement the Acme Search Engine. After all it was stated in the T.O.S that it could be done.
The Acme Search Engine concept is sound; and can work. After all that's why I signed up.
I was peeved that I could not implement it the way I believed it could be done using other hosts etc..... and spent the money getting domain names, and web-hosting. And for those who have been scammed, no need to tell you about getting the run around emails.
If your going to do this make sure you use Tissa's Preferred hosts etc as it wont be able to be implemented if you don't......which means you have a question to ask yourself about the cost vs income you can make...... Tissa vouches you will get $125 within 24hrs. And judging by his honesty (below) i dont see why not; so that should cover your initial costs.
Do your research before committing to anything.
But alas,
Here is an update 10th Dec 2008:
After not being satisfied with the inability to move forward with this opportunity because I did not have the preferred web-hosting, Tissa refunded my costs of the web-hosting - a small but token sum of $40 AUD.
To Tissa and the ACME Search engine opportunity, THANK U for your honesty.
I wish everyone luck in finding there internet money niche.
Yes Tissa, would have loved to have met you, but 000's of miles inhibits that.
Good luck.
All previous post comments retracted except this one.

Re: Tissa Godavitarne Scam(ACME PEOPLE SEARCH ENGI
I am not expecting to get rich quick with this program but I know the program works. The proof is in my back office and I haven't even promoted it the way Tissa said yet. It is not even a program. It is a business that should be built like any other business.
All I have done is promote it to my networking buddies and networking sites that I am a member of.
Looks like Scam.com just can't SQUASH this one. Bravo Tissa and thank you for your honesty.
In my honest opinion, I think some of the people at Scam that tends to squash every program are people who are successful in Online marketing. They feel threatened when someone else comes up with something good or better than what they do.
People who come here to check out about programs should learn to do their own due diligence. So many people have missed good opportunities because of Scam.com.
Again - Do your own research.
Most ardent Scam.comers are successful in their business. They will tell you to start your own business, blah, blah, blah. But ask yourself - Do you have the money and the expertise like they do?
They have money to spend in HEAVY ADVERTISING and so on. They have all the technical know-how to make their business work -But do you? Nothing else matters to them. They don't care about you the little guy that only have $50 to invest in some little program that will give you an extra $300 a month. They will call it a Scam because for them it's "chicken change."
People Search works. And if you know how to soft sell, you can use it to build a solid customer base for years to come. You will never waste time and money on a marketing program again. For me, that's the brilliance I saw with the program...and talk about what it cost to get involved - peanuts.
For those who want to give it a try, I say go for it. If you treat it as a business, you would not be disappointed. I promise you that.
At any rate, it's good to have a site like this although I believe that the word "Scam" is being abused and misused and misunderstood by many users.

Re: Tissa Godavitarne Scam(ACME PEOPLE SEARCH ENGI
I have been involved in Affiliate Marketing for a few years and I've found great success with Tissa's People Search Engine.
No one listen to this Cohen character. He sounds lazy to me and dosent describe the true functionality and opporunity of the People search engine.
With someone who has been involved in hundreds of affiliate programs on Clickbank, LinkShare, CJ and others I strongly recommend Tissa's People Search Engine. I have made a nice return in promoting it, and have been very satisfied.
Congratulations Tissa in developing a great program!

Re: Tissa Godavitarne Scam(ACME PEOPLE SEARCH ENGI
I do not know all these people, so my comments are only on my own experience. I'm in the 'testing' phase of Tissa's program and so far...not so good. I've signed up for each step and every affiliate opportunity that he has and I've had zero success. The sad thing is, GDI is a very good program, and I've learned there are "TEAMs" out there that have good systems in place to help their downline. Tissa does not seem to be one of those that cares about his down line. He's making a ton of cash with GDI just the way it is. Using marketing with gdi websites (like gdi rocks) and search engine websites. Yes, he has a system in place that you can use or pay to use(peope search), but once you're in, your on your own. I'm paying for google adwords with money that I really don't have, but thought I would give everything that Tissa is saying a chance. I will be back on here to give my results by the end of this month. I think Tissa has a good program in place to make a lot of money....for Tissa. He's putting 50 or more people into GDI each week....how? Wish I knew, cause supposedly I'm using the same system and not one yet. Let ya know more later...advise right now is to research good teams to be under for GDI...it's a good program.

Re: Tissa Godavitarne Scam(ACME PEOPLE SEARCH ENGI
 SHOOT DOWN ALL THE DOUBTERS
Its funny how people treat an online business like a job. They think they can do the minimal and get a paid. IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY. I would like to be the first one to tell you that Tissa's Acme Search Engine works wonders....In order for this to work for you, you have to know how to advertise. Like any business if you dont advertise you get no leads which equals no sales. I've learned alot over the past 3months and I've earn over $500 in that time. My earns are growing everyday as I advertise everyday. I'm not making millions or even thousands but I'm making cash I didnt have. I would like to thank Tissa for this opportunity and I would recommend this program to anyone that is willing to work at it to make some nice cash.
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK TISSA!!!!
One of your students...Tawn Smith
P.S. Need Advise On Growing My GDI Downline!!!!!

Re: Tissa Godavitarne Scam(ACME PEOPLE SEARCH ENGI
Thank you for your feedback Tissa. I appreciate it.
First, I am taking "the time to fully understand how the program works." That's Why I'm here. I search the Web over and over for information every day, try new things, try to learn. I don't appreciate a comments like that from tawn31, as I am NOT just applying minimal effort here.
Ok, enough of that. Now back to Tissa. I did not mean just GDI, sorry it looked like that, I have had no success on anything yet, Click Bank, Reunion or HD. Hope that clears that up.
Thank you for the TIP on GDI. I will begin to try to market the Presell Page. I think I know what you're talking about. The tissa one?
I simply followed the tutorial under Step 3. However, given that I created a support ticket, 2008-12-11 (23:17:30 EDT) with my questions on marketing and my problem with no response as of time I'm entering this post, it does make me feel like you “do not care about your downline.” That's the “fact.” What else am I to think?
I did not know about GDI prior to entering your program. However, because I've been working very hard to learn how to market this business, and I've come across other teams that seem to have excellent downline support, are you suggesting that I close my GDI account under you and move to them? Why would you do that? I did not appreciate that comment.
Your GDI bonuses are not due to me promoting your program. However, they are due to me coming into your program. I'm would hope you appreciate that.
Now, because of your post, I will be able to hopefully start to market the Presell page as you have suggested. Once again, I assume this is the tissa page. What is “direct link?”
Yes, I've paid $50.00 in google advertising. I believe that this is “taking your (my) success into your (my) own hands.” Additionally, I'm trying very hard to learn all this and how to market effectively.
I'm not sure what you're asking for in the last pargraph. “Search Engine user Id?” But I'm willing to provide anything that you ask, willing to learn. My family really has limited dollar resources and I hope that we can fine tune this to limit the amount of money that we have to spend before we get results. Once again, until now, most of what I've learned has been from other sites. I appreciate your input.

Sorry, a little error, here is the corrected paragraph:

Re: Tissa Godavitarne Scam(ACME PEOPLE SEARCH ENGI
Hello fellow marketers,
I would like to share my success with Acme People Search Engine with you.
I started using the program about a month ago and I already have more than $1,200 in pending payments. I also got paid $540 so far. Click here to see my backoffice screenshot.
Acme took me to GDI leaderboards in just 2 days. Here is my GDI leaderboards screenshot.
I have been in GDI for about 3 months and was struggling to get any signups at all. Acme changed that completely. It's a perfect tool to grow your GDI downline. All you need to do is ask Tissa to change your Startlogic hosting in Step 2 to GDI hosting. That's what I did and it helped me immensely.
This does not mean that you can sit back and relax. This is not a "get rich quick" scam or "set it and forget it" type of internet gurus' nonsense. You have to focus on driving traffic to your splash page. The splash page has a very high rate of conversion and all you need to do is promote your Acme affiliate link which should look like www.yourdomain.com/tissa.htm or www.yourdomain.ws/tissa.htm
This program is the best affiliate program I found on the net but you have to work on it just like in any other affiliate program. The difference is that Acme is much easier, has a better conversion rate and builds your GDI downline automatically.
Good luck,
Rafal Wozniacki

Re: Tissa Godavitarne Scam(ACME PEOPLE SEARCH ENGI
Folks, Tissa is for real.
Steve J here. I appreciate that you (Tissa) have taken the time to help me and truly believe that this is what a good sponsor does. I am willing to learn and plan on being on the leader board with you and others SOON. I also appreciate input by gdileaders for some of the advise. I appreciate it. As for the true topic of this website, obviously the Acme People Search Engine is not a scam or Tissa would not have bothered to help in the first place. Plus, you can all see by the testimonials that this can work. Marketing is the key, as with any business. Good luck to all of you.

Hi gdileaders.
I saw your post and saw your success so far. Keep up the good work. I was curious to know if you are using google adwords. At the moment I've just been using free methods of advertising. Would you recommend using adwords. That probably the only thing I havent used yet. Just want to some advice from someone that is doing well with this.

Re: Tissa Godavitarne Scam(ACME PEOPLE SEARCH ENGI
Hello all,
I think the experiences of those who are actually in the program speaks volumes. Work it like an actual business, and you will succeed. It's not rocket science.
You can even be a little bit more innovative and come up with cost-effective offline promotional ideas - create flyers, drop cards etc.
I have not spent enough time nor dime advertising the program yet because of the time I am putting into building my forum (Expose Your Business Online), yet I have over $200 in my back office. It's not much but it's encouraging. Never had this kind of experience with any program within such a short space of time. There is definitely a light at the end of the tunnel with this one for anyone looking to make part time or full time income.
The only catch is, you have to treat it as a business and not as a "get rich quick scheme."
The product/service is in high demand
The founder's testimony, backed by his documentary evidence is compelling and he is accessible to anyone who wants to challenge him or ask questions.
Let's be honest, how much of this extreme transparency do we see from so-called "gurus?"
IMHO, I think the program is a winner!
Anyone that wants to have a feel of what the excitement is all about should come on board now.
Much success to all!

Re: Tissa Godavitarne Scam(ACME PEOPLE SEARCH ENGI
Hello Everyone,
I just want to let you all know that I am also a living proof that Tissa's system is a genuine money making opportunity. I have been with GDI for over a year, and I haven't never been able to get very steady signups until I started using Tissa's system. It's by far the most profitable biz I have joined. In less than 2 months, I had earned multiple income streams total over $1000. Every dollar I spent for advertising I make profit. I wish all my GDI downlines are using it. I know, the old saying, system work, people fail. People who join Tissa's program and don't promote it will fail. I have been scammed a few times and joined a few homebizes that ripped me off and made no money. Tissa's program is a real keeper, and that's why I am making it my primary program after 2 months, 'cause People Search Engine Rock!!!
Happy Holidays!

Re: acme people search
Hello,
I don't usually post to forums, but after reading some of the posts, I couldn't help myself.
First of all, as an experienced marketer, I could care less what Tissa is making.
He is the one that brought me this opportunity. He is the one that developed it. If he never offered this program to me, I probably would have never taken a second look at the people search market.
The reason I found Tissa is because my Father In Law asked me to help find an old friend of his. He had already gone through a few searches. And it dawned on me that this may be a niche I should look at. Trust me, if my Father Law, who is an internet beginner, is buying something on the internet, I want to know what it is and what caused him to buy, because he would have never done that a year ago. That told me that this trend is only going to get bigger.
Anyway, the point I'm trying to make is that the people that worry about what their referrer, in this case Tissa, is making, are missing the opportunity he is offering.
Will it work? I don't know yet. I'm doing the testing right now.
And if it don't work for me, does that mean it's a scam? No. It amazes me how when something doesn't work for someone, they tend to immediately call it a scam.
What matters here is: will the offer convert? And what is the ROI, Return on Investment? And the thing about ROI, is that it is completely reflective of your own expertise in internet marketing. Let me state that again, Your ROI on this program, is going to be reflective of your own expertise on internet marketing. Unless one thing, the offer does not Convert no matter what you do.
So here is the summary. Internet marketers will test and test offers to see if they convert, then if they convert they will work on ROI and lowering costs.
And if done correctly, and the program doesn't convert, they just move on to one that will. But they will not turn around and call it a scam, just because it didn't convert for them or at the right price.
And I can tell you this, Tissa is the only person I've ever come across that has offered to pay for advertising (the $125) to show me that it converts. Usually I'm on my own and have to figure out if the offer converts by myself.
Therefore, give me Conversion Rates, and ROI's, that's how I will judge this program.
And in my opinion, the people that use the term "scam" loosely just because they were unsuccessful, are hurting future offers from people like Tissa, who are trying to help.
I mean, my gosh, go to a CPA network like Hydra or Max Bounty, look at all the offers, hundreds every day. They all have different conversion rates, etc.
Internet Marketers are testing these offers everyday. And they are not calling all the ones that don't work for them, Scams.
Just test, and move on. The term Scam is too harsh a word to be thrown around loosely. And if that attitude makes me vulnerable to "true scams" then so be it, but it will keep me from missing opportunities.
I will post my ROI and Conversion rates, if allowed here, after I test for a few weeks. I expect it to be not all that great at first, but if I see conversions, I will then work on that. I suggest the same approach.

I am not sure I understand this correctly; affiliatecurve did his work and got enough signups to earn $600, but because those signups did not get enough signups affiliatecurve was not paid the commission he earned?
Sounds like a scam to me, feel free to correct me if I am reading his post incorrectly......

Re: acme people search
So if you're only with GDI and getting referrals is it worth your while getting involved with Tissa?
Tissa said something about advertising your search engine, but i thought that's what the 29.50 a month was for. If I just paid the 29.50 a month ...what would happen? Don't mind about GDI i know it's up to me to promote that.
And besides I thought one could put a link to your gdi sign up page on the search engine homepage.
