is BIM a scam info

this is a "headsup" for anyone thinking of joining Business in Motion:

? What is BIM's Product?

The answer is that they do not have one which makes the "business opportunity" a MLM structure and that is Illegal; I have no doubt they will be shut down soon by the Feds.

Another FYI: just because you have a GST # or are registered with CRA, Does NOT make your business legal!

Many of the people I have met and from an article I have read by a Mr. George Torok (he hosts a radio show in Canada called Business in Motion) greed is what most of the people in this business are about.

I know as you do that in any business you don't always know who is operating with character and who is not; so beware of who gets you into this. Ask yourself if you can really trust them not to mess you over.

The company UltraLife whose products BIM sells, as far as I can tell is legit. No problems with them at all.

After being exposed to this "opportunity" I would not go into the business with BIM other than to promote and sell the travel packages provided by UltraLife, as they are a great value.

Last notation: I hope your not on a "board" when this business gets shut down because you and anyone you signed in under you won't get any money at all.

Sorry, I dont understand your post. You say BIM dont have a product, and then further down you say that Ultra Life are the products BIM sells!! Which is it to be, they sell a product or they dont.

Also you say they dont have a product, which makes them a MLM structure. Wrong, if indeed they have no product then they will be an illegal pyramid. MLMs sell product (if they are legal)

Re: is BIM a scam info

FYI update to my first thread about BIM being a scam:

BIM has no product with its name on it; what they are doing is marketing a business opportunity and that is not a physical thing.
If you do not bring people in underneath you in the business, you do not get commissions paid to you. That is the MLM structure.

As far as MLM's being legal is concerned, perhaps you should check your source on that.

Network marketing is legal as you have a product to sell; ie, Amway, Tupperware etc.

MLM's are illegal as there is no product to sell; just people to bring in so that the top people get paid.

As stated before, MLM sturcture in this opportunity is tooo close to a real MLM and when news of this reaches the appropriate gov. officials well there will be a hard lesson for anyone in this opportunity.

If you do not think I know my stuff on a MLM being illegal, that is ok. I suggest you find legal representation for yourself as a security precaution if your in this thing; you will need it in a court of law proceedings.

Good luck with that!!

sorry to burst your bubble but MLM and Network Marketing are exactly the same thing. Network marketing is just a more modern term for it. I think you are confusing NM/MLM with ''pyramid selling''. If there is no product involved or there is a product that cant be sold on its own, away from the recruiting side, then its ''pyramid selling''

This will explain the terms for you:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multi-level_marketing

Now, for your homework write out a hundred times:
Network marketing is the same as MLM.

Good luck to you!

Re: is BIM a scam info

Well, I just got suckered into one of these meetings. 4 Hours of BS. They are a distributor for that travel thing, and also some weird stylus that's supposed to stop your pain. Apparently they've got 12 or more of these pens...there's a sugar level one, some cleansing one, the pain one, and they wouldn't tell about any others. Supposedly Oprah will have this thing on her show soon.

I know a bit about chemistry, magnetics, and electricity. I call BS on this thing big-time.

As far as them not having products, you're all correct. They own nothing. They're just doing what Walmart does, sell stuff other people have made. That's even one of their examples, along with McDonald's.

A long time ago, my ex went to a Mellaluca meeting. OMG what a huge scam that was. The guy running it in our town ended up getting exiled basically. He got all his various business licenses pulled and couldn't work in our state anymore. I think he ended up selling his house (for way less than he should have) and leaving the state.

At least Amway had some good gum and makeup...lol
